I'm watching Game 1 right now. Here is where I shall rant and rave on the results and on controversial plays.

LONG LIVE CELTICS PRIDE!

I think I'll root for the Lakers, just to spite you.

Except for Kobe. I HATE Kobe.

That will only lead you to dissapointment.

The Celtics have won game 1!!! Go Celtics!!! I hate the Lakers for two reasons.

1. I'm a Phoenix Suns fan, the Lakers are my team's mortal enemies.

2. An ex girlfriend of mine was a huge Lakers fan so now I hate them even more now!

I will say though, the Celtics had better win game two because they're going to play 3 in a row in L.A. and the Celtics have been HORRIBLE on the road durring the playoffs so far...

boston_celtics - June 6, 2008 08:29 AM (GMT)
BWAHAHAHAHA! VICTORY!

Hopefuly, they manage to win one game in L.A.

super_wolverine_Man - June 6, 2008 03:16 PM (GMT)
ah yes yet another celtics v.s lakers match-up

personally i prefered it when magic went up against bird, but those days are past sigh*

Oh yes, those were the days.

*pauses*

Oh, wait, I wasn't born yet. Never mind.

I just like them from the highlights. THey certainly had something good going on.

boston_celtics - June 9, 2008 03:53 AM (GMT)
Celtics win! 2-0 vs. L.A.

granobulax - June 9, 2008 07:58 AM (GMT)
If the Celtics can take at least 1 in L.A., this series is done.

granobulax - June 13, 2008 08:44 AM (GMT)
This series is OVER!!! The Celtics won in L.A. and now the Celtics only have to win one more out of the next three with two home games. It looks like K.G., Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen are finaly going to get their rings!

WHAT! the celts won, i was watching the 1st quarter (before i had to leave), and it seemed like the lakers were beating on them, boy did i miss something!

Greatest come back in NBA finals history.

The Celtics were down by as many as 24 points, but rallied and won by 6 points.

I missed nearly the entire 3rd quarter, cause after half I just didn't want to watch anymore.

Then I switch the T.V. back on, then suddenly it's a 2 point game? But at half it was 18?

The series, I think, is still heading back to Boston. The lakers are still a great home team, and they just won't let the C's clinch the title on the road.

Besides, I would prefer the Celtics winning in game 6, that way, the fans in Boston get to flood the parquade floor of the Garden, just like old times.

boston_celtics - June 13, 2008 03:53 PM (GMT)
Oh, and just to add a little fact, teams that lead 3-1 in the NBA finals are 28-0

As much as I want the Lakers to loose, we cannot forget that there are firsts for everything in sports. I'm not saying the Lakers are going to take the next three, but making a point on never completely count someone out. Look at the Boston Redsox a few years ago. There had never been a team in ANY sports history to recover from a 3-0 deficiate but the sox did it against the Yankees (Whoo Hoo!!!) Anyway, just throwing that out there.

Well, two teams have done it in hockey, I know that much. The Penguins against the Islanders in 75, and the Maple Leafs against the Red Wings in 42.

granobulax - June 17, 2008 05:38 PM (GMT)
Well, the Lakers got one back. If the Lakers pick the next one up in Boston, its anyones series... Go Boston!

boston_celtics - June 19, 2008 09:45 AM (GMT)
Celtics win Game 6 by 39 points and claim the 17th title.
