Description: What do'ya think?

The Sharpshooter - January 12, 2008 06:14 PM (GMT)
Alright, my most treasured book would have to be The Darren Shan Saga. It really got me hooked onto all the gore and violence of what he does, plus it has a Star Wars like ending that made me laugh my @$$ off.

hamboy - January 12, 2008 06:16 PM (GMT)
Lord of the Rings. Truly epic. I mean, really, really, good.
Anything by Terry Pratchett. Diskworld is funny as hell. It's sad that he has Altzimers now.

Never read Diskworld, what's it about?

It's set in a fantasy World, but everything is silly and comedic. Every book has different characters, though some are recuring. Basically, it's just silliness, and is hilarious.

Oh, you mean like David Hasslehoff.

Lord Of The Rings was good. Really good. Chronicles Of Narnia were good. Stephen Colbert's book was incredible. Now I'm reading Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy. The Golden Compass is the first book. I'm about halfway through it. I'm going to have to say V For Vendetta. And yes, it's a book. Other than that, books I want to read but know for a fact that I never will. Communist Manifesto. I started it during an in-school suspension. Then I started reading Essential Daredevil Volume One. Das Capitals, most everything by Voltaire, every Calvin and Hobbes book, and other crazy political books. And yes, Calvin and Hobbes is incredibly political. The minority of the comics aren't satirical in one way or the other.

Guardian Of Nesh - January 12, 2008 07:02 PM (GMT)
Any decent fantasy book except LOTR; it drug on too much.

super_wolverine_Man - January 12, 2008 07:36 PM (GMT)
mm favorite book, that tough, i like different books for different reasons, so i really don't have a favorite

Wingman - January 13, 2008 01:34 AM (GMT)
:D :D Dude, Sharpshooter, I like this idea for a topic very much!! Alright, my favorites:

All time favorite has got to be Lord of the Rings. Classic sci-fi/fantasy from which almost all other series, with exception for Star Wars, have been based on somehow.

Other favorites: Eragon, good mix of old concepts, and entertaining, the Hobbit and the Silmarilion, Carnage and Culture, The Western Way of War, and A War Like No Other, all by my favorite historian, Victor Davis Hanson, War Made New by Max Boot, the Histories and the History of the Peloponnesian War, by Herodotus and Thucydides, great classics, the Artemis Fowl series, by Eion Colfer, the Redwall Series by Brian Jacques, and a great reference book, Military Small Arms of the 20th Century, by Ian V. Hogg.

Well, that's a short list, anyway. My favorite is still, undisputedly, LoTR. :) :) ((Samuri}}

The only real books I've read are The Hitchiker's Guide to The Galaxy.

Fun, a bit wierd, but fun.

Triss is great. It's been awhile, but it's just like the others in general plot line. A female mouse is on a mission to free here fellow slave from this island. It's a great story and a great read. But then again, they all are. Good to see a fellow Redwall fan out there!! Never too old to read about talking, anthropomorphic animals!!

Currenty reading Of Mice And Men for school. Damb good book that is, damb good.

Nice. I recommend "To Kill A Mockingbird", as well as "A Tale of Two Cities". Both are classics. :) :) ((Samuri}}

If you liked that you'll love Cue for treason. It's another good one. My fav however is Martin The Warrior B)

From the Redwall Series? DUDE, I've read that whole series! I have every book, except for The most recent one, Eulalia! Cool!

Right On! The redwall series rocks! I've read all except Triss and Eulilia(spelling)
How's Triss?

Triss is great. It's been awhile, but it's just like the others in general plot line. A female mouse is on a mission to free here fellow slave from this island. It's a great story and a great read. But then again, they all are. Good to see a fellow Redwall fan out there!! Never too old to read about talking, anthropomorphic animals!

Agreed B) :P

You got it. My favorite characters are the otters, with the hares (gotta love em'!) and badgers (you better love em', or they'll unload the Bloodwrath on you!) tied in second. What are your favorite animals.

1. Mice (ususally the protaginists who get the cool sword ((Samuri}}
2. Hares (Jolly Wot@! Hilarious charcters with never ending stomachs :P
3. Otters (Probably the coolest characters in the series. Very cool B)
4. Badgers (Bloodwrath! puredevilishevil!!! 'Nuff Said)

"Tally ho, wot, wot. I've got to keep the flippin' body alive! I'll just nip into the kitchen for a bit of scoff, wot wot!"
Hares rock.

;) B)

I'll try to run you through it. Go to whatever picture you want, on Google Images or whatever site you want. Once you have JUST the image, move the window that has the image to the bottom of your computer screen until just the URL is showing and the rest of the window is out of the frame of your computer. Still with me? Now, open a new window, come here, post a comment, then click IMG. Now, I know it's tedious and time consuming, but type in, word for word, every letter EXACTLY, the URL that is in the URL bar of the window that you left a the bottom the screen. I'll demonstrate. I'll go to Google Earth and get a photo of, oh, Silver Surfer. I'll find it, get it by itself in a window, then open a new window, and post that URL in the box that opens when you click IMG.

I like it. Two things though: Who is the mountain lion/saber-tooth tiger in the bottom right? And, I had no idea Wolverine's claws were that long! They must be three feet long! *snicker* ;) ;) ;)
