Title: What would you like to see at the new CBUB
Description: I might be able to make it happen

Solomon - May 18, 2009 09:05 PM (GMT)
Pretty self-explanatory.

Go.

Marvel Man - May 18, 2009 09:09 PM (GMT)
I want to see Solomon write a match.

Solomon - May 18, 2009 09:15 PM (GMT)
Well see if I have any time left in my life.

Marvel Man - May 18, 2009 09:18 PM (GMT)
I know we'll have an image gallery, but who will pick the picture the character uses?

Pseudonym - May 18, 2009 09:19 PM (GMT)
A special made up character.

Like for series's.

SilverSurfer092 - May 18, 2009 10:01 PM (GMT)
I might like to see me.

Each character will have an Image database that users will be able to pick from for fights. Users have to submit pictures for admin review before they are posted.

You mean like one character the entire site has made up?

videogameman - May 18, 2009 10:42 PM (GMT)
Smileys. :D JK. Honestly, I can't think of anything.

Are you sure? I though Graves told me in a PM that users would be able to choose the image for the match.

Pseudonym - May 19, 2009 12:38 AM (GMT)
grr, nvrmnd.

The Last Technomancer - May 19, 2009 12:42 AM (GMT)
a button to vote for a tie.

Agreed.

Marvel Man - May 19, 2009 12:48 AM (GMT)
A "Both Mangled & Killed" Button.

Solomon - May 19, 2009 12:53 AM (GMT)
I'll look into it.

Then we would never hear the end of it from Aguistnaldo. No. Tie button.

I'm not sure. You could be right.

videogameman - May 19, 2009 12:57 AM (GMT)
I got it! being able to insert actual people more. It would be fun to see George W. Bush be the new Jar Jar. puredevilishevil!!! Still no religon, though. Too much controversy.

Well I'm pretty much the one who decide who gets through admin character review. Along with Graves, and DRX. So if you submit them, there's a chance I'll accept them. No promises though.

YAY! :D Also, it would be awesome if we got a loser streak board to complement the Undefeated.

It's either that or "It ends in sex" Plan A or Plan B?

Solomon - May 19, 2009 01:35 AM (GMT)
As far as a tie button goes, I don't think that the other Admins will go for it.

Marvel Man - May 19, 2009 01:37 AM (GMT)
We should have a Writing Ranking. A leaderboard for the writers with the best grades.
Kind of like the FPL.

I remember a conversation about a tie button for the FPL. They weren't up for it.

That might work, but the FPL leaderboard is for the characters not the writers.

It was just a thought as some matches are ligitimately ties.

Solomon - May 19, 2009 01:44 AM (GMT)
I agree with you, but how the other admins will react is a different story.

True, but CBUB has grades, while the FPL doesn't.

Couldn't people with high grades be aknowledged?

That wasnt the point I was trying to make. I was just saying that the vets and old admins value the creation over the creator.

That too, is true.

A thing where like if a tie happens a tie breaker match will be made.

Granobulax - May 19, 2009 03:44 AM (GMT)
I've always been for a different voting system. I think a scale of some sort would be better than a simple yes or no.

For instance, if a center line is marked 0 with a numeric scale to five on each end to where you could vote for a tie by keeping it at 0, or barely a win by moving it to a 1 on the side you think would win, or for a stomp, a 5 for the winner would be best.

It wouldn't reflect actual votes, but I think the tally would be far closer to the real number than a simple yes or no voting system.

Solomon - May 19, 2009 03:48 AM (GMT)
Hmm you might have something there. I'll think about it.

You could even put a scale picture on there for the voting system. Just click on the side you want to win from one to five times and watch the scale go down. Then for the total count on the next page, you could have a big scale that reflects the total vote counts.

Solomon - May 19, 2009 03:55 AM (GMT)
How would those effect voting exactly? In other words what is the purpose rather than having an awesome slider to play with?

It would make the voting much closer. For instance, in the classic Goku vs Superman, people may think that one of the characters would barely win where as someone might think that the two would end in a tie, where as another would think it's a stomp.

The votes would closer reflect how people actually feel about the match.
