GLADIATORIAL ARENA - BATTLE OF HISTORY 7
Slave Gladiator V Hun Warlord

-----------------------

In the year 2645, the biggest form of entertainment is as it was nearly 3000 years ago; the Gladiatorial Arena.

In a high tech facility, with authentic hard-light replicas of ancient settings, people from all over the corner of the world (and beyond) do battle. These fights are streamed live instantaneously in 3D projections to billions of households where people can watch the blood spill onto their very own carpets.

-----------------------

Commentator: Well. That was a bit of a disappointment ladies and gentlemen. In what has been the quickest fight since the beginning of the Battle of History tournament, we have seen how truly deadly some good training can be.

For those of you who blinked and missed the whole thing; let me recap.

The Celt, that formidable barbarian with his huge shield and deadly sword did his usual thing. He growled, he stamped his feet, he clashed his sword against his shield, all to work himself up into a great frenzy.

Itís a scary sight, when his face turns red and his eyes glare madly at you. But the samurai took it in his stride. I think that the Roman Centurion he fought in his first bout has taken away his overconfidence and given him some wise caution for future fights.

The Celt at this point is pretty much pulling his own hair out; heís wild and dangerous and with a loud cry has run forward. Heís waving his sword over his head, his shield in front of him, bellowing an old war song.

I can tell you what everyone, if this were me facing this howling barbarian I would have had an underpants related accident and run away screaming like a little girl. But not the Samurai, he is standing there like a rock, his gaze steady and no emotion whatsoever on his face.

The Celt hacks down with his sword ferociously, only to find that the samurai isnít there. He has sidestepped quickly and has now thrust the sword over the top of the Celtís shield.

The world stopped for a moment as both fighters faced each other unmoving.

The barbarianís shield is slowly lowering and we see that the katana has pierced his throat!

Thereís no blood for a moment, or pain in the barbarianís eyes. In fact it almost seems like he wants to carry on fightingÖ

But the moment the Samurai pulls the katana away, the blood starts flowing and the Celt falls to his knees. My god, heís still trying to swing his sword, but he has no energy left. A warrior to the end and a very scary man.

-----------------------

Well, seeing as thatís over with we can immediately tune you in to Arena 8 where two new fresh contestants are stepping onto the sands.

For one of them this is the usually every day occurrence and he will have done this hundreds of times against many different opponents. Heís armed with two short swords known as gladius and his face is hidden behind his helmet, the galea. Weíre not actually sure where he is originally from, but he has been a gladiator in the Roman Coliseum since the age of 12, so it doesnít really matter. Heís deadly and most importantly, heís experienced.

His opponent however, is also no stranger to the art of battles. Part of one of the largest empires the world has ever seen, the Huns were given a bow and arrow and sword from birth. They werenít happy unless they were pillaging a village and expanding their territory, and this particular Hun is a warlord. This means that like the Gladiator, he has fought in numerous one on one duels, and as you can see, heís come out on top.

So, the two veterans are stepping out onto the sands and immediately both have taken up a defensive stance. I have a feeling this is going to be good!

LET THE BATTLE BEGIN!

Slave Gladiators, from what I know, got no training. Huns on the other hand.... Hun FTW.

Remember, this Slave Gladiator has been part of the Arena since age 12, so would have had some training + a lot of experience. Not saying he'll win, just noting the fact.

Wait... What are the weapons?

A guy with two sword who's not very well trained vs a guy who's really well trained with a bow and arrow and a sword... Ummm.... That's kinda really one sided.
