Title: Ask an American.

Solomon - April 27, 2009 11:00 PM (GMT)
A chance for the Bisons, Culwych, Chester, and Calamity to get back at us.

Go ahead ask away.

M Bison - April 27, 2009 11:01 PM (GMT)
Ever get tired of the crazy religious cultists? Not talking about all religious people, just the nutty sects of Christianity that run Jesus Camps and tell us that God hates fags?

Oh yeah, we get those guys all the time in the Bible Belt. Especially Fred Phelps himself, he goes everywhere that usually had some sort of natural disaster and huge crime and preaches how God cursed that nation due to homosexuality, blah blah blah.

Yeah the Westboro Baptist Church are the biggest assholes you'll ever see.

Solomon - April 27, 2009 11:03 PM (GMT)
Yes. It gives people like me a bad name.

Yes. However, I have some Christian friends who are not like that even though they tell me I will go to hell and such. (Lol, I do not care though.)

Solomon - April 27, 2009 11:06 PM (GMT)
I can't speak for most people, but most christians I know aren't like that.

Does America's desire to perpetuate their own cultural values through globalisation damage their stated vision of a free and democratic world?

If for the christian evangelization, then yeah. Otherwise, I don't have a clue.

We wave the banner of hypocrisy.

(Not all of us though)

Personally?

I could really care less about what people are doing on the other side of the world. However, I think that if enough damage is caused intervention may be neccesary

America as a whole?

I'd have to say that most americans would like to see western democratic views spread throughout the world.

Our Goverment?

They don't care about democracy.

Bombs to set the people free, blood to feed the dollar tree

I would want my ancestral country China be a democratic state for one day, so yeah.

Yeah I know I meant you as the nation.

Best movie line ever

Solomon - April 27, 2009 11:19 PM (GMT)
Actually, I take that back. I think that a democracy is the best kind of goverment, not perfect but very good. Now, I for one do not believe that America should force its views on anyother unless it is causing great harm.

Why do all the best American shows seem to get cancelled?

Ok, well not all, but a lot.

Well shows get cancelled for various reasons. Shows can't run forever. I thought it was like that everywhere?

L Bison - April 27, 2009 11:26 PM (GMT)
Western democracy isn't the same thing as freedom.
Which kind of democracy though?
Pretty looking? You've never seen me, also I'm not yours.

Money. When actors on these shows, Charlie Sheen for example, get paid 27 million dollars per episode and the program isn't making the network enough money from it's advertisements then yeah, the show gets cancelled.

This is cool!

1. What do you guys think of the following shows:

Scrubs V Friends
Charmed V Buffy
Mentalist V Psych
House V Grey's Anatomy

2. Name some popular food and drink where you are from

3. For the older ones, what's the economy like over there at the moment? i.e. redundancies, pension holidays, recession, mortgages etc (I can tell you it is pretty bad here)

4. Favorite cartoons over there?

5. What's big at the cinema right now?

6. True views on the Westboro Baptist Church, how popular are they in America?

7. True views on Scientology? (I've had a huge church open in my home town in UK... so far haven't spoken to one yet, but they seem to be getting more followers every week!)

8. Any singers/bands you would recommend I check out? Probably best if they are not well known or they would have already been over here.

9. Who has been to UK/Europe, and what did you think of it here?

10. What's your favorite film?
