Title: Ask a Brit

treacherous - April 23, 2009 01:55 AM (GMT)
Since we have like 30 Brits on here now. I figure everybody can bug them with questions since most of us are across the pond or whatever expressions those wacky Brits use.

So, without further ado...

Ask a Brit...

MarvelFan15 - April 23, 2009 02:01 AM (GMT)
 Well, this is pointless...

@M Bison: Do you guys have, like, 5 different Tea Times a day?

I was bored.

And see it's not pointless, you asked a question. Now it has a point.

WTF does "Chuffed to bits" mean?

Marvel Man - April 23, 2009 02:24 AM (GMT)
Are you secretely trained to speak with that awsome accent?

Cause I highly doubt it's natural....

Granobulax - April 23, 2009 05:05 AM (GMT)
Is a "Fag" really concidered a cigarette?

L Bison - April 23, 2009 04:33 PM (GMT)
No we don't have multiple 'tea times' tea time is an evening meal unless you're posh in which case you may well have time set aside for a cup of tea, lots of people drink it but we don't have specific times.

Chuffed to bits means really pleased or happy.

We have many accents, we don't train to have any of them though, we just have them (or don't in some cases, our area has lost its broad accent now).

Yes a fag is a cigarette.

Anything else?

L Bison - April 23, 2009 07:18 PM (GMT)

L Bison - April 23, 2009 07:51 PM (GMT)
It's good, everyone loved it on the Cadbury's advert lol.

Solomon - April 23, 2009 07:56 PM (GMT)
I've heard that the English outside of London have a general dislike toward Londoners, True or False?

L Bison - April 23, 2009 08:01 PM (GMT)
Unsure, some seem to, others kinda pretend to because it's funny. Personally I don't mind them lol, there are cool people in London just like there are here.

Solomon - April 23, 2009 08:02 PM (GMT)
Yeah that's the kinda vibe I get from talking to most English on the internet.

Do you feel any alliegance to the queen or she just...there?

L Bison - April 23, 2009 08:08 PM (GMT)
For some reason some people do, that's usually the older generation though. Personally I don't have any allegiance towards her.

L Bison - April 23, 2009 09:39 PM (GMT)
I don't pay taxes yet so I don't know for sure. People will always complain about taxes though so it's hard to know at the moment.

videogameman - April 23, 2009 09:41 PM (GMT)
They aren't Brits, they're English. :P

L Bison - April 23, 2009 09:44 PM (GMT)
That isn't a question and we can ignore things at times, I'm not in the mood to be pedantic.

treacherous - April 23, 2009 09:51 PM (GMT)
I don't know if you noticed, but I'm being quite silly in this topic.

L Bison - April 24, 2009 04:00 PM (GMT)
The Ninja Gardener is the ultimate life form, he comes in and gardens. No one has ever seen him though but if you look you may just see evidence of him, or you may not, it depends on your perspective.
He uses his ninja skills to garden!
