X-Men Origins: Cyclops

Scott Summers sat gazing out the window. Flying high above the Earth, and his parents flying the jet; Scott felt as if he was above the world. Nothing could ever touch him. He hard his brother beside him, crying for them to land soon. Scott sat back, and tried to tune out the noise. Scott got to his feet, and headed toward the front of the plane, when he heard his dad calling out his name. His dad smiled, as Scott walked into the cockpit.

His dad started to show him the controls of the plane, and what each thing meant. Scott's mom smiled at Scott, as a smile came across his face. His dad let Scott sit down in his lap, and started letting him fly the plane. Scott Summers started laughing, and gazing at both his mother and father. Suddenly, something happened. The plane started hitting turbulence, and Scott's dad pushed him away. Something was happening. Smoke filled the air.

Scott's mom ran over to get two parachutes for both Alex and him. They opened an emergency latch, and the two brothers jumped out falling through the air. They opened their parachutes, and suddenly they saw the plane explode. Alex screamed, but suddenly shrapnel came flying in all directions. Scott's parachute was ripped open, and suddenly he hit the cliff of a mountain. Everything went black for him. Snow fell from heavens above, and rescue teams came to investigate the accident.

He was told that his parents were dead, and his brother was unkown. After his parents death, Scott was sent to a foster home. Bullied by the others, and tests run on him by the owners. Scott's time was unbearable. One day a bigger boy went over toward him, and shoved him on the ground. Scott got up, and the boy threw out a punch. Scott dodged the punch, and kneed him in the stomach. The grabbed his stomach, and Scott punched him twice on the face. The boy fell down crying. Suddenly, Scott was taken by the facility.

He was put in a dark room. Punishment is what he was told. Punishment for his behavior. Years past, and Scott was 16 years old. He started planning. Planning of a way to break out. One night, he did it. He ran off into the world. Ran off into the darkness. Running through the alleyways, and onto a street, a car came out. Scott was hit, and fell back on the ground. Everything went dark.

He opened his eyes, and suddenly destruction came. Buildings were destroyed. Massive energy came out of the eyes of the 16 year old. Scott closed his eyes as fast as he could, and fell to his knees. He screamed for help, but no one would come. He didn't know what to do. He crawled to the darkness, and sat back. He living in darkness, and in fear. He could open his eyes, and if he did, destruction would come.

A day passed, and something came through his head. A voice, a soothing voice. It told Scott everything would be okay, and someone touched his shoulder. Scott got up, and something came into his hands. Glasses were given to him. They told him to put the glasses on, and open his eyes. Scott was hesitant, but the voice was calming to him. He put the glasses on, and could see everything. No destruction was made after that. He gazed over at a man in a wheelchair, and a large blue Beast. Scott fell back, as he saw the Beast.

"Everything is going to be okay, Scott". Is what the man the said. The man that was talking in his head. The man was named Charles Xavier. Xavier, finally said that Scott was special, and would need a special place to be helped, and cared for. Scott followed the men into a vehicle, and left. They left for a building outside of New York. A large estate, with fountains, ponds, trees, and everything. Scott got out of the car, and heard this was going to become a school of the gifted.

Scott started to take classes with the Professor. At first he was the only one then others started to arrive. Jean Grey was one of them. His heart started to grow bigger. He fell in love with her. He started talking to her, and a few other students. Scott was not taught only about school, but about living in darkness. Fighting in self defense without his the power of his eyes. He was taught about mechanics, and flying jets. He was taught leadership.

The days were mostly good for the young mutant, but something happened one night. An argument broke out between him, and another mutant. Scott took off his glasses, and the mutant jumped out of the way, as the power destroyed a wall behind them. Scott saw the destruction he made, and he ran off. He ran away from the school, and started his way for a new life. He heard Professor X.'s voice in his head, but Scott just told him to shut-up, and leave him alone.

Scott was going over a bridge. He saw strange people staring at him, and suddenly something happened. Something was flying through the air toward him, and ready to attack him. Scott started running as fast as he could, but the thing, the Vulture came down to attack. Scott was knocked back into a car, and his glasses fell off. His optic beams blew a car off the bridge, and Scott closed his eyes. He started reaching over to get his glasses, and grabbed he put them on, and saw the Vulture in front of him. Scott got up, and jumped behind a car.

He started running, and he saw children getting out of their vehicle with their parents. The Vulture started laughing as he came down to attack the family, and Scott ran to stop him. He jumped through the air, and knocked back on the ground the Vulture. Scott got back, and stood in front of the family. He told them to run. He stood in front of the Vulture, and knew that he had to fight.

Good set-up. A. Cyclops FTW easily. Has WAY more skills than Vulture and the old man's too slow to dodge the beams. Love the way of writing. A+++++.

Well this is before his skill, and his experience. This is more of when he is a teenager, so I don't know who would be better. Cyclops is really just an unexperienced teenager, going through troubles.

Well, he did have a BIT of training judging by the set-up. But he can take off the glasses, fried bird.

Nice writing Borat, and I'm agreeing with videogameman on this one; glasses off wins Scott a trip to KFC.

I was reading a Spiderman comic, I think its the one where he was dressed up in his Hornet costume, The vulture was flying circles around him and the feathers of his wings are razor sharp so I think the vulture would have this seeing as Scotts just a teenager.

The lasers are too fast and wide for Vulture to dodge.

Got a point there, but isn't the Vulture suppose to be a smort scientist. Wouldn't try to think a few steps ahead, and be ready for the optic blast.
