GLADIATORIAL ARENA – BATTLE OF HISTORY 2
Templar Knight V Spartan Soldier
In the year 2645, the biggest form of entertainment is as it was nearly 3000 years ago; the Gladiatorial Arena.
In a high tech facility, with authentic hard-light replicas of ancient settings, people from all over the corner of the world (and beyond) do battle. These fights are streamed live instantaneously in 3D projections to billions of households where people can watch the blood spill onto their very own carpets.
Commentator: “OOOHHH MMYYY GOOOOODDD! Did you see that blood spray across your room? The Samurai is definitely hurt, and he is being pushed back across the sands. The centurion keeps slamming him with a shield and then taking quick swipes with that mean gladius.
There’s blood oozing out of the samurai’s shoulder and leg but still no expression whatsoever! I can tell you this folks, if I had been stuck by that sword I would have been shrieking like a girl and calling for my mummy.
The only thing keeping this fight from being completely over is the samurai’s sword, the long katana. If the centurion gets within range….
Oh my god, the samurai is down! He’s fallen to one knee from exhaustion with his head bowed and it looks like this could be all over. The centurion is raising his sword…
It was a feint! In a movement so fast I could barely follow, the samurai has spun around in an 180 degree arc and lashed out with his katana.
The centurion has taken a step back, astonished and there’s a red line appearing around his stomach. Oh no, he’s been cut in two! The top half of his body has toppled over, whilst the legs and waist are still standing there, spurting blood everywhere. Delightfully disgusting!
Well, guess that wraps that one up, you should really see the expression on the roman’s face! Let’s get the samurai to the regen tank and our next contestants onto the sands….
We have today two of the most bloodthirsty warriors in history.
The famous medieval Christian crusades involved many battles and conquests, and at the head of each other these wars were the Knights Templar. These fearless warriors could be seen storming castles and leading armies against the infidels. Fearless and powerful, he is not to be messed with.
But then again neither was his opponent. The male citizens of Sparta were full time soldiers, training everyday to perfect their skill. They were immortalised in the battle of Thermopylae where only a few held against an army invading Persians.
Both men are armed with sword and shield of their time, and both are eager as hell to get fighting.
So let’s beeeggggin!!! FIGHT!
