Guardian of Nesh - March 23, 2009 08:12 PM (GMT)
Match: Link vs. Boba Fett

Zelda vs. Star Wars Part 2: The Hunt

After Princess Zelda vs. Stormtroopers

On the Death Star orbiting Hyrule:

An Imperial general walked into the observation deck where Palphatine was waiting for him.
“A report on the siege of Hyrule, my Emperor.” he said kneeling.
“Proceed.” the Elderly Sith didn’t even turn to look at the man he was addressing.
“The Hylians have stalemated our troopers sir.” the general.
“What?! They have swords, you have highly advanced blasters! You should’ve won by now!” the emperor roared.
“Sir they have creatures that have put sizable dent in our forces and their leader, a Princess Zelda has strange powers.” the general explained.
“Strange powers… she must be a Triforce bearer. “The Sith muttered, then he turned to the other man. “You have failed me for the last time.” Then Palphatine unleashed Force Lightning from his hands, killing the Imperial officer. The Emperor paused for a moment; he couldn’t blast Hyrule from space or risk killing one of the Triforce bearers…this Princess Zelda. He needed he captured and alive this was a job for a bounty hunter and he knew just the man…

Hyrule Field:

The Stormtroopers advances on the Hylian forces, firing their blasters. Many soldiers fell down dead on the spot. A platoon of Gorons rolled forth from the Hylian ranks and flattened deafening troopers. This battle like all the others had been bloody on both sides; it was a stalemate something had to be done.

Death Mountain Peak:

The Seven Sages had gathered, this was not something done often but this was an emergency. Link, the Hero of Time was nowhere in Hyrule and with the invasion it was time to call him back.
“It is time to start the spell. Now everyone join hands.” the ancient sage Naruru said and the other sages complied.
“From Forests green…” Saria the Kokori started.
“From mountain Fire…” added Darunia the Fire sage.
“And Waters blue as the sky…” recited Princess Ruto.
“To the Goddesses we send our plea, from Shadow deliver us…” Impa called in her mannish monotone.
“With strength of Spirit…” the Gerudo Nabooru continued.
“And the purity of Light…” Naruru wheezed.
“We reach across Time…” Zelda chanted.
“To bring back the hero that defends us!” they all shouted together and a white magical light shot out from them into the distance. Just then a Hylian soldier came running up the mountain.
“Princess Zelda we need your assistance on the battlefield.” he told her panting. Zelda nodded and turned to the other sages.
“Tell Link to come to Hyrule Field when he gets back.” she instructed rushing off.

Clock Town, Terminia:

Link felt an otherworldly tug on his body, he didn’t know what it was but it was divinely magical. Link collapsed and everything went white. When came to his senses Link found himself in the presence of three female silhouettes; each bathed in red, green, and blue light respectively.
“Who are you?” Link asked.
“We are your goddesses “The red one explained.
“Hero of Time, Hyrule has been invaded by men from the heavens. They are led by two powerful Sith.” The blue one, that Link assumed was Nayru told him.
“What are Sith?” Link quirked an eyebrow.
“Sith are people who use our power for evil purposes much like the one known as Ganondorf but they use machines in place of magic. You, the hero blessed with my power are the only one who can stop them.” the green on Nayru explained.
“Send me back.” Link demanded. With this request the Sacred Realm faded from Link’s eyes.

The Lost Woods, Hyrule:

Link awoke in his adult body fully equipped with everything he had acquired fighting Ganondorf and atop his steed Epona.
“hey.” a familiar voice called. The Hero of Time whirled around to see the fairy companion he had been looking for before he was trapped in Terminia.
“Navi!” he greeted gleefully.
“Welcome back Link! The Goddesses sent me to help you; we have work to do.” Navi informed clearly happy to see her old friend. Link nodded.
“Where are they fighting?” Link asked.
“Hyrule Field.” Navi replied. Link nodded again and started Epona on a fast gallop out of the forest.

Hyrule Field:
Zelda impaled another stormtrooper with her magical rapier. She pulled the blade out and saw another trooper come from behind in her peripheral vision. The Imperil grunt raised his blaster but before he could fire an arrow lodged itself in his neck dropping him instantly. Zelda curious as to who just saved her turned to see Link coming briskly out of the forest on Epona; Zelda smiled, Hyrule’s one man army had arrived. Zelda resisted the urged to call out to her love as this was still a battle.
Link hopped off Epona and activated his Nayru’s Love spell instantly. He charged in clothed in his Goron tunic and weilding his Master Sword and Mirror Shield, guided by Navi’s ever reliable targeting he slashed through stormtroopers like tissue paper. Some troopers fired at him but Link sent the blasts back with triple the force thanks to his Mirror Shield. The Hero of Time sent five Bombichu into the enemy lines, each one taking out about thirty Imperial troops. Ten stormtroopers surrounded Link and fired their blasters, he couldn’t block them all but thankfully Nayru’s Love prevented any damage from being done. The Hylian Hero smirked and charged magic into his blade, a double-bladed holy long sword known as the Master Sword and executed a deadly Spin Attack that took down the ambushing force in one fluid motion.
“Retreat!” called the Imperial general. He couldn’t believe that in a matter of minutes one man with primitive weaponry had slain no fewer than a thousand troopers plus all the damage the rest of the Hylian army had done…
“Fall back to Hyrule Castle!” Link commanded.

The next day, Boba Fett’s cruiser bound for Hyrule:

“There’s been a change in your mission Fett.” Darth Vader’s deep raspy voice came over the com link. Boba groaned.
“What is it?” he asked dryly
“A warrior by the name of Link, according to our scouts, has appeared on the Hylian side. He has our generals afraid to attack; they call him a one man army. We believe him to possess an item the Emperor requires. Your mission is to capture him and the Princess Zelda and bring them to my master alive.” Darth Vader instructed.
“A one man army huh; I’d better be getting paid extra for this.” Boba groaned.
“Silence bounty hunter! Just be glad you got such an important assignment, will one billion Imperial Credits suffice?” Vader asked angrily.
“Yes, I will be landing in Hyrule tomorrow.” Fett answered.
“Good, do not fail; the Emperor and I are hoping not to have to fight directly.” Vader advised closing the com link.

One day later, Hyrule Castle Courtyard, outside the throne room:

The Imperial bounty hunter Boba Fett rolled his eyes in disgust, The Hylian guards had been so easy to sneak past a child would have found it easy. (Like Link did.) Focusing himself, the bounty hunter slammed his way through the window, landing in a crouch. He looked up to see a young woman with pointed ears in a pink dress and a man with the same ears wearing a red tunic with a sword and shield.
“Link and Zelda, I presume? Fett asked coyly.
“Yes we are, you work for the Sith don‘t you?”
“Yes and they require your presence.” Boba answered.
“You‘ll have to beat me first.” Link declared.
“I was hoping you would say something like that.” the bounty hunter was cocky.
“Leave .Zelda out of our fight.” Link demanded, Fett nodded.

A fully equipped Adult OoT Link wearing the Goron tunic, Master Sword and Mirror Shild with 2 red potions and 2 potions vs. a fully equipped Boba Fett in the Hyrule Castle throne room. Link is aiming to kill, Boba is aiming to capture.`

Nothing? I worked hard on this.

...I usually don't post on matches when I don't know the characters well.

granobulax - March 23, 2009 10:24 PM (GMT)
Very well done. Is this on the CBUB right now?

Anyways, I've got to go with link. He's smart and has taken down Ganondorf who is way better than anything Boba has to offer.

Once again, great match. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. You've drastically improved as of late.

No both Link and Baba are busy at the moment... wait are you saying I was bad before? At any rate I fear I may have made Link out to be too powerful during his reapearance.

No, I wasn't saying you were bad before

I'm saying that you're getting better by the day. Your grammar is what's getting much better for you, you've always been a great story teller.

No, keep Link hyped up in my opinion. There's a lot of Boba Fett fanboys on CBUB so it may help balance it out a bit.

I suppose you're right. That's got to scare the Sith a little too; one man with self-made battle experience with a sword and and other assorted Middle Age weaponry walking in and takes out a thousnd well trained space age soldiers with concussion blasters without breaking a sweat.

I would give you an A but sadly even though I know Link wins, I have to say Boba simply for the fact that Zelda:Majors mask is hard as hell.

I meant if this was on Cbub I would give him a A and say Link wins and vote for Boba because of my hatered asgaint Link for his crappy games.

granobulax - March 24, 2009 03:04 AM (GMT)
I think that Boba is mobile enough to make things interesting, but there's really not much he can do that wouldn't be easily figured out by Link.

Besides, the jet pack will somehow break, leaving Boba an easy target for Link
