Title: Who has the most talent?
Description: The best artwork of the companies..

MarvelFan15 - February 22, 2009 12:55 AM (GMT)
Over the years, humanity has always tried to fit the complexity of life, joy, anger, hate, happiness, and nature onto a single surface, creating something sybolic to us. We call it art, ever changing, like the wind itself; indeed, art has changed much in the several hundred years since we have invented it, and yet, like wind and the rest of nature, although the direction, intensity, and style may have changed the reasons why we create art has not.

There are many reasons why we have decided to put our effort and knowledge, and skills to the test to create, what may seem to some like a simple project, but to others a way of life. We paint pictures to express emotions we cannot express with words. We creat statues to show our profound joy in honoring our heroes, and we write books to let the the labrynths of our imagination run wild.

Today, there is very little art that professionals may consider worthy of the achievments of the past. However, every skill that people have shown then, they show now. As before, everyone has their veiws on what makes art shine, and now, I'm asking you that question.

Art, visual art anyway, is most prominent in comic books and graphic novels. Artists toil away for months to create a few small panels of colorful drawings. In the world of comic books, they are the ones that bring it to life. They give the medium its energy, style and grace, and now it's up to you to decide who has the cream of the crop under their belts.

Thank you.

Well written. It looks a bit like poof-writing, but it's good.

Marvel I think, is teh best of those four. They have to characterize sooo many different characters. Making sure they have slightly different personalities.

Although Marvel, as far as I'm sure, isn't all that push-the-envelope-y.

MarvelFan15 - February 22, 2009 01:29 AM (GMT)
It's hard for me to decide, as well.

Interesting... ;)

I prefer DC over Marvel but art wise, gotta hand it to Marvel. As far as I've seen, they destroy the competition.

SilverSurfer092 - February 22, 2009 06:19 AM (GMT)
Artwise? Why the hell do you have the companies up there for artwork? Have the artist, dipwad. Artists switch companies quite a bit, so judging by companies isn't very fair or an intelligent comparison, for that matter.

I agree with the last part.

Surprised? B)

As far as artwork goes I'd have to say DC. I mean as of late Marvel artwork has taken a dive as of late. First off the artwork for "The Amazing Spider-Man" is terrible. Uncanny X-men isn't much better. The artwork for Astonishing X-men has always sucked. At least the artwork for Wolverine is pretty cool. On the DC side of things Batman's Artwork is relatively impressive as of late, and the artwork for "Superman" is pretty decent.

Darkender - February 22, 2009 04:34 PM (GMT)
Come to think of it. I haven't read any recent comics, so I can't really say. I can say when I did read comics I always preferred marvel's artwork compared to
DC.

 Looks like someone isn't have a very good day. I'll save the artist poll for later, by the way. I wanted to do companies because of the host of different artists they have, and what people prefer; and you're right, they do change artists, but not all the time.

Even I have no clue, but the only gist I got out of what the few of the admins have said about was that the Admins were fighting and banning each other, but, now I'm getting off topic, sorry.

Anybody who has these artist at any given time.

Joe Madueria (spelling)
Bryan Hitch
Jim Lee
The guy who does Astonishing X-men
Alex Ross
The guy who does the new Avengers book. I can't think of his name, but he's good.
I wish the guy who did the Punisher covers would do actual comic books, but yeah that guy too. (by the way, I met him in real life. He seemed like a prick.)

Wha? That artwork is wonderful. Wolverine was screwed up in that scene. Emma Frost did the tango with his mind. That's why he looked like an idiot. That artist is great. Hey, I'm the artist here. I know what I'm talking about.

If you look at anyother issue Wolverine always looks like a monkey, and xaiver's eyelashes are like 3 feet long.
