Title: Martial Arts Tournament!

super_wolverine_Man - November 17, 2008 10:17 PM (GMT)
Choose a name...

Write a short description of your character, and his fighting style...

Choose a country to represent....

Choose a style(s)....

Write a short history about your character....

How it works... At each fight each fighter will be given 500 points.

Hand strike from a weak character to a non-vital area. (-5)

*Faster characters can do 5 attacks in one post. While slower characters can do a maximum of 2.

Hand Strike from a strong character to a non-vital area (-15)

Hand strike from a weak character to a vital area (-15)

Hand strike from a strong character to a vital area (-45)

Foot strike from a weak character to a non vital area (-20)

Foot strike from a strong character to a non vital area (-35)

Foot strike from a weak character to a vital area (-40)

Foot strike from a strong character to a vital area (-70)

Joint lock/break to Hand/Fingers/Wrist/Ankle/toes (-30)

Joint lock/break to Elbow/Shoulder/back/knee/Hip (-65)

*If your characters style is a grappling art (Judo, Jiu-Jitsu,Wrestling) then double the points, for locks, and slams. Divide striking attacks by 2

*If your characters style is a striking art (Karate, Kickboxing, Kung Fu) then double the points for striking attacks. Divide locks and slams by 2.

Weaker slams (-40)

Powerful slams (-70)

Defense:

This is where it gets slightly confusing....

If your character is a fast character then you get 5 attacks per post. However if use all 5 then on your next turn you will not be able to block, or counter any of your opponents movements. However, If you do 3 attacks, and save 2 you can use those 2 movements to counter or block your opponents attacks.

*I'll tell you if your character is Weak/fast and Strong/Slow.

I know this is a little confusing so let me know if you have any questions. I'm going to be a judge in this RP only.

Name: Graham Harrel (My favorite QB's name)

Description: He's big and strong (6'4" 270 lbs). He uses the art of Judo for great defense, powerful take downs, and devistating submission techniques. While his offense is limited, his defensive knowledge is unparalelled.

Represents: The state of Texas (Tell me if representing a state is unexceptable)

Style: Judo and basic street fighting techniques.

History: Born and raised in Texas, he has devoted his life to the art of Judo. He has a strong will and powerful determination to prove himself as an elite fighter in the world. This tournament is just the thing Graham needs to do just that...

(I tried to make my character baalanced in the sense that he's not over powered. I hope this is good enough :D )

super_wolverine_Man - November 17, 2008 11:04 PM (GMT)
This is good. Your a strong/slow character. You will get two movements per turn. Your grapples/locks are worth double.

Being a combination fighter your multipliers cancell each other out. You are to follow the slow but strong mold.

You are allowed 2 moves per posts.

Nd4 your character is a bit confusing. From what I can tell your character is Fast but weak. Since you have both a striking art and a grappling art then your multipliers cancell each other out.

You are allowed 5 moves per turn.

E-Apple - November 18, 2008 01:47 AM (GMT)
so...I'm saving my self points...? cool. does this also mean I get both dividing benefits?

Being both fast and strong. You follow the points system for weak characters. However you recieve a (+10) system for the first 2 movements. Your multipliers cancell each other out.

What? If you choose only a striking art then all striking movements would be doubled. While locks and grapples would be divided by two. If you choose a grappling art then all locks and grapples would be doubled, while all strikes would be divided by two. Since you choose a striking art, and a grappling art, they cancell each other out and you are to follow the original point system in the set-up.

Terry Burkett

6'0 210 African American. 31. Great striker, extremely quick reflexes and rhythm. Strong kicks. but will mix it up with submissions. Likes to inflict pain and wither away an opponent before the kill.

American of Brazilian descent

Shootfighter

Terry grew up in the "City of God". The toughest slums of Brazil. However, with great soccer skill Terry was recruited to an American National Soccer league. Due to unnecessary roughness (and subsequently beating half an opposing team singlehandedly) Terry was cut from the team. Without work Terry was found by a fight promoter who watched Terry's melee on the field. Terry was recruited and trained in the underground boxing circuit for 10 years. Having been undefeated for that time, he now enters the tournament to test his skills against the professionals.

You fighter is very mixed. You are to follow this standard for points: You get 5 movements per turn. 2 of these movements are to be used for the strong but slow category. For the other 3 you are to use the weak but fast system. Also since your character primarily uses strikes, and a few grapples you will recieve double the points for all strikes, however since your character is not primarily a grapple user but it is still part of his arsenal then divide all locks/grapples by 1.5
