Nimís Island is about a girl named Nim (Abigail Breslin) who lives with her father on a tropical island that no one knows about. Nimís a big fan of a book series about a character called Alex Rover. She also thinks that Alex Rover is a real person. When her father goes missing, she emails the author of the Alex Rover series to help her, as she is all alone on the island. Little does she know that the author is in fact an agoraphobic woman named Alexandra Rover (Jodie Foster).
I thought this movie was very good. At first I thought it was going to be a very corny movie and while it did have itís clichť moments it wasnít too bad. I thought Abigail Breslin was very good in her role. I believed that her character was a real person and that she did live on the island. Jodie Foster was very natural in her role, she gave a good performance too.
My one regret about the film is that it was a bit too short. I think that the story should have progressed more especially when Alexandra reached the island.
