Edric's eyes lit up when he heard the classes Alice had chosen.

"It seems, we're in three of the same classes. Art, History and Literature. I was going to choose a free period, but performing is my passion.. thus.. I chose Theater. I wish I could have a free period, though!" He laughed.

"This year will be interesting, I just know it!" He said happily.

He was happy that the subjects they shared were both subjects that had the opportunity of working in groups, or pairs, rather. He was glad that he didn't have to go it alone this year, but was still saddened by the fact he hadn't a roommate. Still, Chiyo, his cat, was there to keep him company during the nights. He was also glad that the one subject he chose separate from Alice, Theater, was a subject that would require much more focus than the others, because of the fact that he would need to learn much of acting, dancing and singing efficiently as to further himself. There wouldn't be any time for mucking about when it came to that. Still, he would see Alice for most of the day and could speak to her until they would both depart to their dormitories.

"Really?!" Alice was amazed when she heard that she had two of the same subjects as Edric. "I'm so glad, I'm sure it will be a lot more enjoyable for us both with some classes together." She smiled, cheerfully. Alice looked out towards the archway again. Movement outside was slowing down, but she'd seen a few more males around now that it was getting a bit closer to class time. "I love to sing. I used to sing to the foxes when I stayed in the forest before coming here." Alice added, shyly. "I'm not... very good, though. But I do love to sing, although I thought a free period was a better choice as I'm not one for getting up in front of crowds or... Using computers, as such. I prefer a humble lifestyle." She giggled, thinking of how that statement was both entirely true and entirely false. "Well, when I'm not... acting on behalf of my other side."

Edric giggled cutely.

"I love to sing, too!.. It's.. my dream.. to become a singer.." He said with a glitter of hope in his eye, looking to the ceiling. "I'm sure if you love to sing, you must have some talent for it!" Edric said smiling at Alice.

Edric knew the two were going to get along so well. Their history was similar, their interests seemed to be similar, and they were both quite intelligent people.

"I love crowds. It makes my heart race and my mind goes blank.. It's just.. wonderful.." Edric said to Alice, still peering up at the ceiling. "But.. what's this.. 'other side'.. you speak of?" Edric said with both a tone of worry and interest.

He looked around the room slowly. His eyes were drawn to a rather large grandfather clock sitting next to the right wall. It read '8:15', and Edric knew that classes were going to begin soon. He could've sat here all day and talked to Alice, but the excitement of his first class was about to unfold.

Alice listened in awe as Edric told her his dream. She wished she had that kind of confidence, but she just didn't. She had no idea what she wanted to do when she left school... She may even just stay in Japan, since she spoke the language fluently. 'Although...' she thought, wondering. Alice didn't need to 'work' or anything after school with the money she had, but still, she didn't want to be sitting around all day doing nothing. Perhaps she would look into teaching. She always loved children, and she'd make a great teacher due to her intelligence and experience overseas.

"It's nice you have an idea of what you want to do after school." The blonde replied, sighing. "I really don't have a clue." She added, smiling a little. It was true, really. She'd never given it any real thought up until today. "Ah." Alice began, wishing she had bit her tongue before speaking of her slip personality, the side of her she didn't like...

"Well you see... I believe that after my mother died, because I told myself never to grieve for her or my father would get angry... I developed a split personality." Alice explained, hoping Edric wouldn't feel any less of her now that she was admitting her faults. She glanced up to the extravagant, highly-polished timber grandfather clock that stood opposite to where they sat, and felt her heart skip a beat. It was getting a bit later, classes would start soon!

Alice drew her gaze back to Edric and exhaled, with a shy smile. "I'm not always like this. Because I suppressed all of my emotions when I was younger, I opened up a hole inside of me that can sometimes take over me and turn me rather... Unpredictable, to say the least." She laughed, nervously. "It's normally activated by anger... And it often the reason I transform against my will." She wished it was either one or the other, but no, one always came with the other, to her dismay.

"Ah... I understand how that is. Because of my parents abuse, and the abuse I recieved at school, I have Bi Polar Disorder. It's very mild.. But sometimes I can become this.. rather unpleasant person.." Edric said, trailing off.

"And yes.. Well.. Realistically, I don't need to work.. Because I got a rather large sum of money when I was emancipated. But.. One should always follow one's dreams, right?" Edric said smiling softly. "And hey! Maybe I could help you with your anger and suppressed emotions. I work with auras, after all. It could help, some.." He suggested, gazing down at his black boots. 'I wonder what the teachers will say..' he chucked to himself in his mind. He loved peoples look of horror and disbelief when they saw his clothing choices. Fortunately his footwear was not straying from the student guidelines. 'enclosed, black, leather based.'

He looked back up at Alice, who was looking out the door at the many people walking past, students and teachers.

"It seems its almost time to move to class.." Edric said, joining Alice in her viewing of day-to-day life at Hanemaboroshi.

Alice was excited at Edric's offer to help her with her emotional issues, but she wondered his aura work would be successful when she turned into a completely different person while angry. "T-Thank you for the offer, it's very kind of you." She replied, smiling sweetly at Edric in thanks. "Well yes, I don't actually have need to work but... I'm quite an efficient person, and I like getting things done, so I believe not having anything to do after school may drive me insane." Alice giggled, remembering a day not long ago when all her preparations were done for her transfer, when she transformed because of how angry she was that she was bored.

"Hmm... It seems we should be moving to class soon." She pointed out, glancing back up at the clock, then out the entrance to see the movement of students speed up again. "But we still have a little while, we don't have to walk far." Alice giggled softly, making note of the small distances between classrooms and the dormitories. The school was large, however for convenience of the students, the areas such as the bath house and library were very close by.

Edric giggled, too.

"It seems the school caters quite notably for the students. What with the short distances between classes and the like.." Edric said smiling politely. "Oh, and if ever you want to try the aura cleansing.. Just ask!" Edric said, bearing the same polite smile as before.

Edric stared back at the grandfather clock once more, in all it's greatness.

'8:50'

Edric was surprised at how fast the time had flew. 35 minutes were spent talking, and it only seemed like 5.There was less than 10 minutes before their day would begin, and he could tell that Alice was as nervous as he was.

Alice was shocked when she realized how long they had actually been talking. It had felt like only a few minutes, when it had been over half an hour. "Ah, actually. I guess we really should get going then." She smiled, sheepishly. They would get to walk together anyway since they both had Art first period, which was certainly a good thing. "Shall w-we walk together?" Alice asked, hesitantly. She wasn't entirely sure if Edric would want to walk with her, but she hoped he'd say yes. Alice was so glad she'd made her first real friend, but she did wonder if he considered her in the same way she considered him.

Alice stood up politely from the loveseat and paced towards the common room's entrance with her hands together, resting just below her stomach. She turned to face Edric as she reached the golden archway, her hair flicking elegantly around her face and shoulders as she did so.

Edric nodded in agreement when Alice had brought up the matter of time.

"I'd.. like that.." Edric said as he rose to his feet slowly. He brushed off his uniform, eliminating any creases that were once there, and followed Alice to the doorway of the common room.

He was ecstatic, he'd made his first real friend. Her wanting to walk with him proved it, and he couldn't have been happier.

He reached the golden arch where Alice was facing him, and smiley sweetly at her.

"After you~." He insisted courteously with a graceful movement of his arm.

Alice giggled as Edric held out his arm for her to pass through the archway first. "Thank you, you're quite the gentlemen." She replied, passing through the arch and strolling into the emptying hallway, anxiously awaiting their first class class for the year. "If I remember correctly, we're in room one for art. So... that's this way!" Alice informed Edric, smiling and leading the way down the hallway to her right.
