P1 Art | APRIL 1st

[Melody.]

_{Alice's heart skipped a beat as the girl she had been gazing at turned around, and looked at her with what seemed like annoyance. “Is there something you want?” The words that came from the pretty girl cut straight into Alice like a butchers knife through a block of cheese. A quick, clean cut. It stung, so Alice dropped her reddening face to her paper and muttered a muffled "S-Sorry!" She was so embarrassed. After a few seconds of recovery, she noticed Edric had been looking at the girl intently. He looked like he was concentrating on her, as if he were reading her mind or trying to decipher her. Alice let him continue and lowered her face more to the desk, somewhat hiding herself from the pretty girl's view.}

Tara realized her mistake; she looked down to her desk and blushed. “Erm, sorry… I have a bad temper I don’t like it when people stare at me…” Her voice trailed off. She thought she was too harsh, I mean the girl was only looking at her. Tara tried to get a closer look at the girl. Her hair was loosely done up, it was cute. Her skin was flawless and she had adorable eyes from what she could see.
Tara tried to lighten the mood with a warm smile. “I’m Tara, might I ask for your names?” She said trying to sound polite.

Edric was beginning to become confused. Her aura had changed dramatically. It seemed he still had alot of fine tuning to do before he could trust his abilities entirely. He smiled shyly at the girl, apparently named Tara, but kept a hint of the stern look in his eye. Unintentionally, of course. "I-.. I'm Edric.. Edric Alden Hoppe.. And.. This is Alice.. Alice Cheverill.. Pleased to make your acquaintance.." Edric stuttered, once again introducing the two to a stranger. He noticed how pretty the girl was, and thought to himself if there were any unattractive people at Hanemaboroshi.

[Melody.]

Alice kept her face hidden as the girl who had snapped at her recoiled. She was apologising. Alice felt some of the heat leave her face and drew her gaze back up to the girl named Tara as Edric introduced them. "I-It's okay... I'm sorry to have bothered you." She stuttered, feeling incredibly nervous. Her palms were damp as they clenched the corners of her dress, and her whole body felt hot under pressure. She used to get a feeling like this a lot when she was at home, but it was somehow different. This feeling wasn't exactly bad, it was just different. "Nice to meet you." She smiled, awkwardly. Alice focused on Tara, and felt her stomach drop. She had a dazzling smile. Surely it was enough to knock someone out. Alice could tell immediately that she was already or would be very popular at Hanemaboroshi; ever boy in their right mind could fall for her.

Tara had a sense of pleasure meeting new people. It was a chance to start off fresh and to have people not know her for her history, but rather, to know her for whom she really is. She laughed nervously, “Nyaa I’m terribly sorry. You two seem like real nice people I’ve made the worse first impression. Let me start again and I’ll buy you guys a drink if you ever need it okay? I owe you guys for being forgiving of my rudeness,” she said sticking her tongue out. Her gaze was more towards Alice than Edric. She seemed like such a kind girl and when ever Tara got a glimpse in her eyes, Tara couldn’t help but smile. It was a strange, but good feeling.

Edric raised his hand to his mouth gracefully and giggled. "If you insist.. However, I'm sure we can simply start over.." He said as he continued to giggle from behind his hand. He noticed she seemed to be focusing her sight on Alice. He thought it strange of a female to be looking so intently at her. He shook it off and smiled demurely at Tara, unsure of what to say next.

Alice inconspicuously shied away from Tara by lowering her head once again and blushing, tempted to clutch onto Edric's sleeve. She didn't know why she felt so awkward, perhaps maybe it was just that she met someone new. However... She didn't feel like this when she met Edric. She was somewhat scared when she met him because he was male, but they turned out to be fast friends as to her, he didn't really have the mind of a male. "T-Thank you. That's ever so kind of you..." Alice half whispered, half stammered. She had no idea what to say to the girl. She turned her face to Edric, only just realizing that she had unknowingly edged closer to him as the conversation went on.

"Edric, why don't we invite her to spend lunch with us...?" She suggested, wondering if her idea was realistic. Tara could have been at Hanemaboroshi for several years and could have tonnes of friends. Maybe Tara was super popular and being seen with new students would lower her status... Although somehow, that didn't seem quite right.

Edric nodded as he looked kindly at Alice. He could tell Alice was terribly nervous, and so was he. He was just better at acting confident when he thought he was in some sort of danger, as it seemed they were when Tara turned around. "That sounds like a splendid idea! If.. that's.. o-.. okay with you, Tara.." he said as he looked down at his desk in embarrassment. He suddenly felt as if he was being too confident. Tara seemed nice enough, he didn't think anything ill of her, considering she was being so sweet. 'Even so,' he thought to himself 'She definitely has a temper..'. He decided it was best, for him, and Alice also, to make at least a few new friends, especially on their first day.

Tara smiled, she was happy they invited her. “That sounds like fun, nyu~” she giggled playfully. She looked up at the clock, excited to go to lunch. However she realized it was the first session and laughed nervously.
“Hey, what subjects do you guys have? I might be in the same classes as you,” Tara said, trying to think of a topic to talk about. She wanted to get to know Edric and Alice, they seemed like kind people.

[Melody.]

_{Alice smiled in glee as Tara accepted the offer made by herself and Edric. "My next subject is Home Economics, then after lunch I have a freed period and then Literature." Alice then answered, feeling a lot more confidence in her voice. "Ah!" She exclaimed. Alice had just remembered something vital, and it had changed her mood significantly. "There's a meeting for students wishing to join the Student Council a lunch!" She continued, feeling somewhat saddened. "I had been hoping to attend, as I'd like to see what position are available... And I heard they were taking applications..." She began to trail on, her voice getting softer and softer. "Tara-san, Edric, I apologize! I'm going to have to sit out on lunch today..." Alice felt quite glum now. "Unless either of you two are attending the meeting?" She asked, quickly getting her hopes up.}

Edric smiled at Tara. "As for myself, I have History then Theater and Literature" He said as he looked down. "Ah! I, too, was going to attend the Student Council meeting at lunch time. I was told by the principle that applications were being taken. I guess we'll both be going, Alice" he said as he tilted his head and looked at her happily. He was glad he didn't have to go alone, he probably would have just chickened out if that was the case. "Perhaps.. if you both were willing.. we could meet after school?" Edric inquired, moving his hair out of his lavender eyes delicately with a swift motion of his head and elegant flick of his hand. He wondered if it was appropriate to ask such a thing, considering they were all relatively new with eachother. But he disregarded this and though to himself 'Someone has to be forward about this..'

“Well obviously I have art,” Tara giggled, “But I also have Home Economics, then after lunch I have a free period and then Literature.” Tara looked over at Alice with wide eyes. “It looks like we have the same subjects together, what a coincidence.” Tara smiled.
She heard the two speak of the Student Council meeting held at lunch. She didn’t have any intrest of joining the Student Council, but she didn’t have any friends to be with at lunch. However, there was a chance someone would recognize her as the daughter of a famous musician. “I don’t have any intention to join…” Tara started. “But if you wouldn’t mind I think I’d like to tag along, I don’t really have anyone else to be with.”
Tara looked over at Edric, she smiled shyly at his request to meet the two girls after school. “Sounds like fun, count me in!”

_{Alice was surprised when she heard that both Edric and Tara were willing to tag along. She smiled sheepishly, feeling her cheeks redden once again. Alice was so happy to have made a couple of friends already this year, and couldn't wait for the following periods to see if she could make more friends. However, she wondered why Tara didn't have anyone else to be with. Surely, if she had been at Hanemaboroshi previous to this year, she'd have plenty of friends. "T-Tara-san, is this your first year at Hanemaboroshi?" Alice asked, curiously. Suddenly, their conversation was interrupted by an incredibly loud bell. It was the signal for the end of period one, and the beginning of period two. "Ah!" Alice jumped, startled. "Well I guess we better go then..." She continued, standing up with the rest of the students and passing her paper forward like everyone else.}

Edric smiled at Tara as he heard that she'd come too. "Excellent! So we'll all go!" He said as he felt his cheeks redden slightly. He was so happy he was able to make friends thus far. Edric looked at Alice, who was taking a breath in to begin talking, but as she did so, the bell rung quite suddenly. Edric jumped in his seat upon hearing the sudden chime of the school bell, looked around the room to see everyone passing their papers forward. He did the same, and though to himself 'History, next..'
