Thanks! One last question though, am I allowed to let my imagination run freely? As in the sense that I can create my own faction in one of the universes and design my own ships and troops? (As long as they meet requirements of course) Or do I have to stick with modified versions of those that both universes already have?

You can let your imagination flow slightly. It's preferable that you keep the to the same basic structure of weaponry and shielding; other than that, feel free to go a little crazy. You can check out some other people's for an example at the fleet page!
