The UNSC colony on planet Marshall is quite unique. In fact, it is so unique that the United Government of Earth doesn't even know that they've colonized it. In Early 2527, during the first years of the Human-Covenant war, many planets around Marshall fell under attack, some belonging to the UGE, others belonging to the URF. By chance, refugees from both sides found their way to Marshall, a planet that, by some miracle, was overlooked entirely by the Covenant's engine of destruction.

Things were uneasy, at first. UGE supporters and Insurrectionists living in harmony on the same planet? This was unheard of, to say the least. However, the residents of Marshall seemed to make it work. Believing themselves to be the last bastion of humanity in the galaxy, a sort of peace settled down between the two groups. They worked together to establish multiple small towns, and, given the lack of equipment, tamed local wildlife to become work and farm animals. They moved forward, believing that this peace would last forever.

However, one year after colonization, when they actually got around to establishing a government, no one could agree what type of government should be set up. Old tensions flared, old wounds opened, and soon, the planet was locked in a bloody war with itself. The war lasted a month. Hundreds died, thousands were maimed. In order to stem off the bloodshed, the small towns of the colony decided that each would govern it's own the way they saw best.

As civilization re-established itself on Marshall, trade and travel began to open up to each of the towns. Even a train route was established. However, roving outlaws and criminals, people unwilling to conform to the ideals of this civilized peace, began terrorizing the colony. The entire planet descended into lawlessness, liken to the old west, reminiscent of early U.S. westward expansion.

That's not to say the entire colony's overrun with bandits, hoodlums, and other undesirables, but if one visits Marshall, they had best bring their wits and their guns if they want a nice, safe trip.

What's the last thing you remember?

  Dang, I need an update.

Or rather you sacrificed him to stop Pein.
I think Blake left after the battle of Earth in 2009.
Exterminatus Extremis Posted on Feb 13 2011, 08:09 AM
Indeed. How long have you been gone? I killed off Daniels over a year ago.
Pein Posted on Feb 13 2011, 04:59 AM
  Actually Daniels is dead...
Blake Packbornne Posted on Feb 12 2011, 08:55 PM
Well since indigenous life there doesn't have any spacecraft, the battle will be fought entirely on the ground. And since the planet's practically crawling with hostile life forms, any ground based victories will only be temporary until Blueskull is located. I'm thinking maybe a Sith tomb might be on it, and houses the corpse of someone who's strong in the Dark Side, and that's why the planet's been tainted.

And I wouldn't mind if Daniels got a hold of the transmission.

How would you want to do that?
