It is mostly used by hackers when they do that thing "You Have Been H4cked" thing. It is a relatively easy to use alternative to HTML coding. Many of it is free and is an awesome way to work on webstes. My website is being built with FTP and I recommend it to everyone. I recommend this FTP software called FileZilla. Here is a video on it.
