Just finished painting these guys up last night.
I started them and converted them about sheesh 2 years ago and put some paint on them just to game with.
And as normal with me and my conversions never finished them.

So last night I decided to finish them.
I went pretty fast and as I said I just wanted them finished so pretty harsh highlights did not take my time to transition smoother etc.
Table top quality is only what I am going for so not trying for my own army just wanted these darn unfinished guys done good enough to call finished.

Dang...... <_<
Pics just wount take. I tried more light and dark but just cant get a good photo today.
But anyways here is what I have.

Close up of 3 them

Okay, so:

Concept:
I love how you've gone the extra mile to customise them, and the fact that you've put the thought in - that alone makes the most difference with these, more-so than painting, converting etc.

Painting:
Again, the painting is superb. For someone who claims to havepainted so little, you seem to have caught on fast tongue.gif (then again, your older stuff was well painted too, so...)

Conersion:
Here the bubble bursts. I don't think (from a fluffy point of view) that bare arms would be even considered by marines. Not only does it compromise their armour, it would leave them weaker and more vulnerable.
It also raises the question of "Have they nailed the shoulder pads to their arms?" tongue.gif
Also, the lack of backpacks is a little disconcerting, but hey ho.
You've no doubt noticed your Heavy Bolter has one armoured arm and one unarmoured arm too tongue.gif

Overall:
A great set of models, with well-excecuted conversions, a great paintjob and a lot of thought and care.
Well done =)

My bad I should have been more clear.
These are my Scouts.

As I thought Salamanders would have big beefy scouts.
And scouts dont have full armor.
So I did the no power pack and arms deal.

Thanks for all the feedback and wow I am a good painter.
thats great thanks.. drool.gif

As for the rest thank you for letting me down easy and for helping me out instead of just putting me down.
Nice to know there are some good people out there.

Ah I see, that doesn make a lot of sense.
In that case I can take back just about everything I said under the Conversion heading tongue.gif

Thoughts of building an army, or just another eBay set ? tongue.gif

No I have pretty much sold all my old armies.
I can now focus on my new stuff and try to paint it and game with it etc.

I try things and if I dont use or like them I sell them and try again.
So I am shure you will see more stuff on ebay just I dont think it will be any armies for awhile thats all.

Squads ya maybe.
