In Northern California, barely inland from a long row of pristine beach land, lies one of the country's most prestigious universities: Monroe College.
This is the Ivy League. Delve into the exclusive, glamorous world of Monroe, but remember to trust no one.
Do you belong in the social circle of the fraternities or maybe one of the image-only sororities? Rather focus on your studying, or are you waiting for an invite into the utterly elitist secret society Graves and Roses?
Even after you're in, you're still dying to be accepted.

MONROE COLLEGE

"Our country may be likened to a new house. We lack many things, but we possess the most precious of all -- liberty! "

So said President James Monroe, and it was with these thoughts that he opened the prestigious Monroe College. Unlike its Ivy League counterparts, Monroe College sits on the bright shores of Northern California. A small town has sprung up to nurture the campus, and today Monroe College sits at the heart of the idyllic and cozy town of Monroe, California.

Dating back to 1827, three years before the death of it's founder, Monroe College has always been an academic haven for the most gifted of students. Set up originally to rival the Ivy League colleges, Monroe soon became one of the most sought after universities in the United States. Excelling in both arts and sciences, by 1840, Monroe was receiving accolades across the nation for its research and academic prowess. Although not as old as its East Coast rivals, Monroe achieved their standing in a very short time. Its libraries, housing the private collections of Monroe himself, were deemed amongst the greatest in the land. It consisted of enviable sporting facilities and a football team - The Monroe Saints - that have been victorious for decades.

Since it's beginnings, Monroe is proud to have educated nine Nobel prize winners, five Pulitzer prize winners - including a female in 1965 just two years after the first senior class admitting women graduated - and two Vice Presidents. Its motto of 'Quaerere Verum' or 'Seek the truth' has inspired generations of scholars all who aim to become the very definition of Monroe men and women.

Today, the ethos of Monroe has not changed much. The university still holds itself to be a college of unparalleled reputation. Only the most brilliant minds, or some might say the deepest pockets, enter through the hallowed gates of Monroe College. To speak of a Monroe alumni is to speak of someone who has achieved greatness merely by becoming one of the elite who spent four years in the West Coast's most prestigious college.

Rumor has it however, that beneath this pristine exterior, there is a society even more elite and hard to break into to as the college itself - Graves and Roses. While only those tapped by this most secret of societies know the truth about its inner workings, urban myths run riot around the picturesque campus about what really goes on in the ancient tombs by the private beach. Will you be one of the ones to find out?
