A fountain sits at the heart of this large green square. Stone benches line the sides. Large trees throw shade over most of the quad and patches of sunlight are often occupied by those seeking a tan.

The Ashworth Library, named after the prestigious Ashworth family of Kentucky, is home to over eight million books including carefully preserved first editions. This is where the serious work and coffee driven late papers are written. The stacks are available for the more frivolous.

The Rudyard Afton House
Built as a primary residence for Monroe's sixth Chancellor, the main floor of the Rudyard Afton House is now open to the public on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 12-4 pm only. The House may be reserved for a limited number of private events.

Underground
The basement door, accessible from the kitchen, is clearly marked STAFF ONLY and a key card panel prevents the casual visitor from accidentally wandering in. A passing glimpse will show a room windowless, crowded and forlorn. Dusty racks in one corner hint at wine cellar glory days, but only a trained eye will spot the hidden panel leading to the sub-basement.
The Tombs do exist.
