Georgia Rule - The Basics

I wound up liking this movie a lot more than I thought I would. Garrett was adorable and sweet as Harlan, a naive Mormon who falls for Lindsay Lohan's manipulative and selfish character.

I keep meaning to rent it, but I'm lazy. I saw some bits on YouTube, and it looks like it's a lot better than I thought it would be. The fact that I wrote it off before I knew about Garrett may have something to do with my new take on it, lol.

It's really much better than it looks. I keep forgetting the Lindsay Lohan can act and the role is a perfect one for her. Jane Fonda is great as her no-nonsense grandmother and Garrett is ... well, Garrett is adorable. The movie does take a sudden 180 part way through that can be a little shocking if you weren't expecting it. It definitely pulls it out of the fluffy "chick flick" realm.

I remember wanting to see it. I like chick flicks. And yes, despite Lindsay being the party girl that she is, she can act. People (in general AND the magazine) tend to forget that.

The boyfriend's band is playing a show tonight in Sacramento, which is almost two hours away from me - meaning I'd be out way past my bedtime, lol, so I'm laming out and not going.

I'm going to rent this tonight and watch... anyone wanna watch with me?

Maxie, I'll jump on MSN when I've got it, but around 9 or 10 your time is fine by me. I'm not expecting him back until the wee hours of the morning, so I've got plenty of time to watch it.

Sorry, kids, I'm feeling like I'm getting sick and the last thing I feel like doing is going to Blockbuster. I could PPV it, but I don't have MSN now anyway. It's ok. I can always watch it tomorrow. Or the next day. Or something.
