I thought this would be a fun topic to start since the summer movies are coming out soon.
I just watched this trailer and it scared the hell out of me. I'm going to have to watch something cute and fluffy between now and bedtime to keep from having nightmares. The Strangers And here's The Happening with Mark Wahlberg. Melanie and I were just talking about this today since they filmed it around where we live. The Happening -------------------- |

Yeah, it looks really eerie. I know that I'll be sad while watching it, knowing that Heath is gone. -------------------- |

The Dark Night is going to be a tough one to watch, but I can't wait to see it. I think they did a terrific job with the first one. I read on Rotten Tomatoes that the new one is rumored to be 3 hours long.

Three hours of Christian Bale and Heath Ledger. Oh hell yes!
Thank God that Katie Holmes is not going to be in this one. Her presence was the only low point in the previous film. -------------------- Would you kill the spider to save the butterfly?

Ever since Katie became TomKat, she has been very strange. She was okay in Batman Begins, but like you, I'm glad she is not in this one. She looked like she was on drugs during the interviews for her latest flop, Mad Money. She was all bug-eyed & looking like she was paranoid. -------------------- |

I'm convinced Katie has been replaced by a robot that is run on a battery pack.

Lara and I are convinced that Tom Cruise has corrupted her mind ... just as he's corrupted everything else. She was fine before she was with him. She's like the John Lennon to his Yoko ... in a really twisted way, lol.
Peace, Queen Jane -------------------- Sam: So, what, now you're seeing demons?
Dean: I'm seeing all kinds of things lately, but nothing like this. Bobby: Actually, it's not all that crazy. Dean: How is it not that crazy? Bobby: Well, you got just over five hours to go? You're piercing the veil, Dean. Glimpsing the B-side. Dean: Little less New Age-y, please. Bobby: You're almost Hell's bitch. So, you can see Hell's other bitches. Dean: Thank you. Sam: That'll actually come in pretty handy. Dean: Well, I'm glad my doomed soul is good for something. |

I think Tom Cruise has ruined Katie, too.

I still like Tom in movies like Legend and The Last Samurai. Maybe I'm the only person who liked The Last Samurai? The other day some guys were slamming it with things like it was the worst movie ever. They obviously lead a sheltered existence when it comes to the world of movies.

I haven't seen The Last Samurai but I've heard that it was pretty good. I can't stand Tom Cruise as a person because he seems so condescending to everyone that questions Scientology. As an actor, however, he's still one of the best. Did anyone else really like War of the Worlds? I really enjoyed it.
As for movies that I'm looking forward to ... The Dark Knight is first and foremost. Batman has always been my favorite superhero and I lovelovelove Batman Begins. I'm also really looking forward to Revolutionary Road, pretty much only because it's Leo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet and I'm all about those two acting together again. There's nothing else that's really standing out to me right now, though. |

You know, I liked it too. And I was REALLY skeptical. Not just because of Tom Cruise (not a fan), but because the 1953 version is so mindblowing. When you look at the effects in that, and remember when it was made, it's amazing. The Star Wars of its time, effects wise. So I didn't think it needed redone, the original is perfect. What I liked about the new version is that it really paid homage to the '53 version. They could have totally revamped the "walking spaceship" things, but they kept them, making them scarier and more awesome because they obviously had better special effects technology. It went farther than the original, and I thought it captured the chaos really well. I didn't expect to, but I enjoyed it, too. Tom Cruise was fine in it, but I think it would have done better if they'd cast someone else. -------------------- ![]() Sig by Shana Avi by roguedemonhunter |

Yes, I really enjoyed The Last Samurai. I'm a sucker for those kind of movies. I also liked Legend, as well as Top Gun (especially for the "volleyball scene" My absolute favorite Tom Cruise movie is Jerry Maguire. -------------------- |
