Okay, so we have to cross Twilight off our wish list (unless of course that other guy should take an unfortunate tumble down a flight of stairs). So, since we can't have the Edward we all want, what other roles would be a good fit for Garrett?
They're making a fourth Terminator movie, with Christian Bale as the adult John Connor. And now Kyle Reese will be coming into the story. I think Garrett would be great in the role. Reese is a tough soldier, yet he is in love with this woman he has only ever seen in a picture. He has a lot of angst built up inside of him, lol. Then there's The A-team movie that John Singleton is rumored to be directing. Can you say Face AKA Templeton Peck? Sigh, that would be awesome. -------------------- |

Aside from the porn movies I have running through my minda about him all the time ... it I could actually turn one of my originals into a screenplay and make a movie, Garrett would so be great for one of my characters. Maybe a couple of them. You know how I love angst. He's so angst-worthy!
I don't really pay too much attention to what's in the works with movies so I really don't know. I'll let you guys be the judge and I'll agree or tell you why you're wrong. How's that sound?? heehee -------------------- Crossing the Line ... Nano story finally posted on FictionPresshttp://www.fictionpress.com/s/2611317/1/Crossing_the_Line

There's a role that needs to be filled in my bed. I'm pretty sure he'd be perfect for it.

Now, today at work we were brainstorming about possible future roles. Here is what we came up with, and it would be amazing:
For quite a while there has been talk of turning Outlander by Diana Gabaldon into a movie. If you have not read it, do so immediately, and picture Garrett as Jamie. Oh, how perfect that would be. Jamie is a sexy and tough highlander with a cute and naive side. To truely understand the awesomeness of the character, you have to read the book. Originally, Gerard Butler was rumored to be considered for the role of Jamie. As amazing as that would have been, too much time has passed and he is now too old for it. Lucky for us, Garrett is not. This would be perfect for him. Ah, wishful thinking. If only they would make this movie. -------------------- ![]() |

I have been waiting for an Outlander movie for ... oh my God - I read it 15 years ago. Wow, time flies, lol. I doubt the movie will ever get made, but Garrett would be great as Jamie (and I would seriously swoon if he did a Scottish accent). Jamie is supposed to be in his early twenties and whoever they get to play him has to be believable as this guy who is a great warrior, but naive in the more delicate ways of the world.
And if any of you guys want to read a big, meaty historical novel with a great romance - definitely pick up the book. Diana Gabaldon puts so much detail and description into her writing that you feel like you're right there along side Claire and Jamie. Love these books! -------------------- |

Outlander would be seriously huge. I also like the idea of Kate Winslett as Claire. Now that's a dream cast for the movie.
Garrett would look really good in a kilt, too!! -------------------- ![]() |

And it's not like there couldn't be a part for Gerry, too. There's plenty of brawny Scottish guys running around in this book. I have an urge to go through my books and pick out ones that Garrett could star in, lol. We even discussed who we'd cast him as if they ever made a remake of The Outsiders (for the record - I'd go with Darry). -------------------- |

I say Soda. Darry is the right age, but he's more Soda. Hey, he proved he could play a bad ass, so why not Dallas? -------------------- ![]() |

Well, in case you can't tell from the fact that I barely include him in my story - I really don't care for Soda. But Dally would be really cool. Very cool, actually.

Definitely Dallas!
As for the kilt comment, as soon as you said Scottish accent, kilt was where my mind went. That and his cute accent in Eragon. "Dragon rider." His voice is spectacular. Have I mentioned that before?? I haven't read Outlander but from what you've described, yes, he could be Jamie. He obviously already has done tough, sexy, cute an naive. But I firmly believe the guy could be anyone. He's a chameleon. Again, that's what makes him a great actor. -------------------- Crossing the Line ... If they remade the Outsiders I would say he could do Darry well, or Dally, but age wise I think he'd be better with Darry (who of course would have a bigger role, right? lol)
I'll try and check out that book when I can. -------------------- "Be my saviour, and I'll be your downfall ..." Matchbox Twenty-Downfall

He can't be Darry. Darry doesn't die at the end of the book/movie.
He's too handsome to be Dallas, but he's all wrong for Johnny. So he'd have to be Dallas, and there'd be a big blood-gurgling finale at the end of the shootout, lol. -------------------- |

I do think he'd be a good Darry, though. I just can't see him as Dallas Winston... and I liked watching him live at the end of Georgia Rule, he should do that more in his roles, lol.

However, I think he has an appropriate voice for Dally; all nice and low with a hint of danger, lol.
