Of a common destiny.

Gantos. This land hasn't been forgotten over the many years, but has been lost. That is, until you found it...

Years ago, Gantos was loved and famous. The Red Forest was a wonderful place. Everyone cherised its beauty. Gantos is known for its ancient traditions and ways. But all of this changed of course when the Kard came. They went right through the forest and fought the Vura of Gantos with amazing power. Their fiery powers gave them more strength. Not everyone died that day. A few survivors hid in the canyon, waiting for the Kard to go away. They came out of hiding, but their magnificent forest had burned away. They didn't know what happened to it, but many kept insisting it was the Kard. Years went by and many died off, but those who stayed alive made sure that the land was well protected and hidden. They thought the Kard was off to kill all other lands, like they said.

Now you are here. How did you find Gantos when no one else could? What happened to you that made you decide to come here in the first place? Your story is well hidden inside you. Choose those that you will trust. Your enemies will come at you when you see it true. Lies and rumors will only bruise your mind and heart. Believe in yourself. Be brave and strong. Gantos holds its own secrets, like you and many others...

With heavy paws the brown hued brute walked toward The 'Back'. He knew not what this place was, not it's name or nature, he only know that it was calling to him. A voice not unlike his sisters rang in his head as he moved slowly closer. It was when he finally reached the side of the peaks his eyes opened up in awe as he tilted his head back to look up.

Miles upon miles must have stretched between where he stood and the terrible peaks up above him. A low mournful cry ran through the stones, and a shiver ran down the brutes spine from the sound. Death seemed to hang in the air around him, oozing from the stones he stood so close to. But still, those shapes called to him.

With slow movements, one paw in front of the other, he started up the ledges. When one brown paw had hit stone, the calling had died down, but now something else boiled in his blood. Challenge. This rocks presented him a challenge, and damn him to hell if he was ever one to back down from something. Death may be hanging before him, but with determined steps, he moved forward.

Forward and up, that was all he thought as he climbed. A number of times his paws slipped and only by quick reflexes was he able to get hold of the ledge again. Still, not once did he ever think of going back down toward the safety of the hard earth. Defeat was not a word he knew. He was a warrior, and this was his prey.

When he reached the low clouds he knew he could not go any further. He knew what happened to wolves who climbed to high. They lost their head and fell down the incline to their deaths below. He may have to much pride, but he was not stupid. He knew when to stop, and so he did now.

Ears the color of freshly wet dirt pinned on his skull as pillars stood planted on the small ledge he stood on. Golden yellow occuli' scoured the land before the fur rose on the base of his spine and he turned around with a small roar. As the wind whistled its strange tune around him he started into the depths of a cave.

Taking cautious steps forward he sniffed the entrance before another chill ran down his back. Something had been here. Something dark, dank, and evil. But the brave brute was rooted to the spot and all he could do was continue to stare into the depths.

And then, very slowly at first, the calling was beginning to come back.

Maerd stood before the mountain, is forest green orbs staring up. He couldn't see it's peak, the stone was to high and clouds covered the rest. He looked away and down the horizon. He could see all the meadows, and even the river far down in his territory. Ears flicked and he turned his skull back to the mountain. He had climbed the great rock before, only to stop before he could even get close to the top. He wasn't going to risk his life going all the way to the peak.

With sigh, he jumped up onto a rock to start his next climb. The mountains were a nice place. You could almost see all of Gantos. Most likely the sea would get in the way of your veiw to see the Red Forest.

The Darewl leader smiled to himself. It soon disappeared when he slipped. He caught himself before he could crash into the rocks below him. Sighing with releif, he continued on up the mountain.

The sound of claws scraping rock brought him back to reality. Taking his gaze away from the cave the brute turned and walked toward the ledge once more. Golden eyes narrowed as he searched the surface of the stone in an attempt to find whoever or whatever had made the sound.

Finally his eyes locked on a figure and he took another step closer toward ledge. Not to far below him he could see the faint outline of a wolf trying to make its way up the slick surface. The brute didn't try and make his way down to help the wolven, instead remained standing where he was.

"Do you need help Friend?" The wolf called out, his ears perked high waiting for the other response. His voice held the strong tone of a wolf who knew who he was, and what he was capable of. Con know, if the wolf asked for help, he wouldn't think twice about descending and trying to help his fellow species.

Maerd stopped on a ledge, his eyes gazing out at the landscape. Ears perked and he looked up to see a Vura peering down at him. His tail rose, showing his position. He smiled politely and said, "No, I'll be alright. Thank you anyway." He dipped his head to show his thanks. After he started to climb up to the wolf.

Once there, he nodded his head again, this time in greeting. "Hello. Who might you be?" He questioned the newcomer and tilted his head. He was surprised to see another wolf in Gantos. Most were coming at this time, and he wanted to find out why.

Con smiled and bowed his head to this wolf that was clearly a high rank. Even from above him, he could see the strength that radiated from the creatures body and soul. And when he came to stand on the ledge next to him, Con properly dipped his head until it almost touched the ground.

"My name is Convel, though I am only known as Con." The large brute answered. His fur was a mixture of all the different hues of brown, his eyes the color of dirty yellow. "Who might you be Sir?"

This wolf was obviously a Lenr, but looked as if he was a warrior. Most Lenr lived as scavengers and were thin, usually weak. Their lives were hunting for mice and carcasses that were left over by other packs. His forest green eyes were soft and gentle, like most leader's.

"Ah, Convel," He said and smiled. "I am called Maerd, leader of the Darewl pack," His voice gave off a proud tone becuase of his rank. There wasn't much to his pack though, none were in it except for him himself. The land and other leaders were his company.

Maerd looked up the mountain, moving a bit away with his front legs. He turned his skull back to Con. "What are you doing up on the rock?" He asked curiously, his face showing every bit of it.

Con gave the wolven another dip of the head when he said his name and rank, showing him the respect that was due. "It is nice to meet you Maerd, Leader of the Darewl Pack."

Glancing back to the cave, his yellowish eyes narrowed slightly before he answered the alphen's other question. "To be perfectly honor Sir. I don't really know what brought me up here. At first it was like some kind of 'calling' in a way. Once I reached the mountains the challenge took a hold of me. I stopped once I knew that I couldn't go any further."

Turning back to the brute, his smile was still in place. "What about you Sir?"

Coming around the mountain from the other side Spiderblood swore she felt the wind trying to blow her back but the harder it tried her headstrength grew and she slyly leaped onto the first little ledge. It was several feet from the ground below but her being as slender and toned as she was made the jump easily.

She spotted a foot hold above on the steeper part of the mountain and pressing herself to the task leaped and found the perfect footing. She saw a wide ledge nearby and leaped. She cut the jump to short and narrowly caught the rock with her forelimbs. Her hindquarters fell below. She desperately pushed aginst the mountainside cutting her pads. She forced herself up and sat there fora moment to calm down a little. Something bothered her though about this. She looked over the ledge and saw the place where she was being only a few feet. She shook her head and looked up.

It looked as if some sort of trail was cut in. She pressed herself against the mountain and scaled up easily to the open trail. She began to follow it around. She thaught she heard something behind her andturned her head over her shoulder. As she did a deep slopecame and she tumbled down and over the cliff intoa dark cave. Something seemed to be snarling at her there and silver long fangs lashed out at her and dark claws streatched to meet her flesh. Or had she imagined it.

The light echoed in the cave casting dark strange shadows. She backed out of the cave and turned to see two other wolves there. She stood still not wanting to upset eitherone of them. She was strong enough but taking on two brutes wassuicide. Especially when both wher at least larger than her by half her size. She pressed herself to the ground and just layed there.

Con's head snapped to the side when he saw the shape of a wolf come out of the cave. His eyes widened in wonder as he looked at the beauty who lay on the ground near him. Shaking his head to clear it he took a slow step toward her, his golden yellow eyes watching her with curiosity. When a sound came form the cave a slow growl came form his throat as he looked at the darkness. Something was in there, something unnatural, something not right.

"Hello. Don't worry. I mean you no harm, and I expect Maerd doesn't mean you any either." He told her, his voice not taking the sticky sweet tone of someone trying to comfort. He remained talking to her, just as he would any other wolf. Even if she was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen before. "My name's Con. What's yours?" He glanced back at the cave once more before turning back to her.

Caoimhei blinked woundering how she could be sure of these wolves. For a minute she froze afraid to move. Soon she stood up wincing as she pressured a slit pad. She tried to hide it but a few drops of blood painted her left forpaw crimson. She met his gaze with molten gold octices and in a silky soprano. "I am cursed with a name of Spiderblood, Now I guess you may call me Cao." She blinked away and looked around. She came back to his gaze again. "So what's the history to this place. She wanted to pad forward so she didn't have to speak so loud but she was afraid she would trip because of her pads but she held her head high trying not to show weakness. golden dipped auds swiveled forward.
