Stralock - Land of Requiem & Roucin

[Rerkiel]

Rerkiel nodded to Shimmer and looked at Kaine. "Kaine there's a place in my terra where Mee sometimes appears to help the sick and injured. It's just a little ways from here." Rerkiel said and looked off to the east, towards his land. "Think you can walk there?" He said glacing back to Kaine.

[Kaine]

"I'd much rather go moose hunting. This is nothing if you do what I do for entertainment."

The wild brute brushed past the pair, limping slightly with a drop of blood hitting the ground beside him periodically. He sniffed and yawned, flinching slightly as the lung was prodded by the loosened rib. Kaine shook his head, clearing his head of clouding pain and, against a rock, leaned, popping the damaged bone back into his skin and it's proper place.

"So would anyone like to join me in said moose hunt?"

[Chatoyer]

If that was nothing compared to what Kaine usually did, Shimmer dreaded to think what he did normally. She didn't know quite what to think about moose hunting, having been a lenr for some time she'd never really had much practice at hunting large prey. It sounded interesting though.

She looked away as Kaine popped his rib back into place.

"I will accompany thee on thy hunt." she replied. Then she looked at the other brute."Who is Mee?" she asked curiosly. She did not know these lands and therefore did not know who the said fae was.

[Rerkiel]

Rerkiel nodded. "Okay." He said nodding his head once. " Well Mee was a wolf that lived in my pack area, that is until she died. Her spirit haunts the meadow." He said looking up at the sky then back at Shimmer.

[Kaine]

Kaine nodded, his bangs falling over his eyes once more. He blew them up to no avail and shrugged, already padding easily away from the gorge. The vura took a deep breath and yawned, his green eyes sparkling as he focused on Chatoyer before looking aside and standing up again. He began his walk again, noticing that the grass became taller and taller as they entered the plains. Such was his fault: he was obsessive with many details, although he was impatient.

"Well, we'll cross these li'l plains and then end up in the forest where some heavy moose reside."

A large vura watched the other three. He had listened to the conversation intently but had not done anything. Now they were heading off to do something that he enjoyed...Maybe he could go and follow or even join the hunt. What was he thinking, of course he could join these were nomad lands. He had no reason to become paranoid...or did he. Rex then leaped from the ledge he resisded on and loped to the others. He smirked, he should introduce himself to these new vura. Qrex stopped when he was about ten feet behind them and gave a low growl. He lifted his head and tail pushing his guard hairs up and his ears forward. His eyes were leering to all of them then stopped on Rerkiel.

"Brute...Fae....Rerkiel...good day is it not. Going for a hunt are we...well may i have the pleasure to join you." He laughed for nothing in particular and pawed the ground waiting for a reply.

[Chatoyer]

Shimmer had been following Kaine across the plains only a short while when she heard a low growl from behind her. Coming to a halt, she turned to see who it was, golden orbs catching sight of the dark furred brute. His gaze met with hers for a moment, before moving on again. There was something particularly maliscious about his gaze.She was not especially thrilled to be addressed as 'fae' either. She would have preffered the term 'miss', but after hearing how well spoken he was, she decided to overlook it. She was confused as to why he had laughed aswell, but for now she would reserve judgement on this particular vura.

"Indeed it is,my good sir" she replied, reffering to the weather.

[Kaine]

"You piss me off," Kaine said, his eyes narrowing to slits before sighing and sitting down, flinching slightly in pain as a slight jet of red leaked from his side.

"Sorry to be so blunt..." he muttered, standing up once more and walking through the tall grass. The brujo heard the occasional grunt, knowing there was something big nearby. Perhaps it was a moose, or even a disgruntled bear. Either one, Kaine's mind was ready, but his flesh was not. He focused on Shimmer for a moment, noticing how seemingly kind she was despite the fact that the damned wolf was hosting arrogance well inside his voice. This brute was a trouble-maker, and Kaine hated competition. He scoffed once more and began his long trek across the pain, suddenly aware that his vision was becoming blurred.

'Something must've hit my spine...I can't see much...' he thought, his tongue slipping out of his mouth from the lack of muscular control.

[Chatoyer]

Shimmer gave Kaine a dissaproving look. No sooner than she had started talking had her parents drummed the necessity for good manners into her, and the very uttering of curse words within her presence made her cringe. Hearing Kaine's apology she couldn't help but agree that that was a very blunt way of putting it. Then again, she believed him to be a very blunt vura anyway, a sharp contrast from herself. Maybe that was her problem though. Maybe she should try and be a little more blunt herself.

Shaking these thoughts from her head, she looked back at Kaine, looking away once more as more blood oozed from his side. She did wish he'd get that seen to. It was a good idea going moose hunting, but it could all go disasterously if he carried on with an injury like that. He seemed to of more or less answered the question that had been on her mind though. It appeared he did not wish this new brute to join them.

Seeing that he had started back across the plain, she turned her back on the creepy dark furred brujo and trotted quickly to catch up with Kaine, her golden coat 'shimmering' in the sunlight.

[Kaine]

Kaine quickly thought his options over, eventually looking back at the brute again.

"Though, you can, err, join us if you want." Just because he might pass out didn't mean that they'd have to stop the hunt. With a spare wolf in their ranks, they could manage well enough without him. His vision was slowing him down and he tripped over a rock. Seeing as the wolf had spent much of his life fighting, it was a sad thing that he even just slightly fell because of a lack of balance.

'Ok, I'm just going to lay down here and not bother,' he said looking straight ahead as everything, every sense, blacked out.

Qrex watched the brute fall and did not respond to his voice. He snuffed a laughter and walked forward moving to lead the hunt. He looked into the feild and saw no prey...strange....Then he caught sight of a little group of hinds and a stag. He growled to the wolves behind him.

"Shimmer you take the left flank i'll take the right and hit the doe on the left that is chewing right now. She seems to have a split nasal cavity...Rekiel...would you please follow me on this...and don't do anything stupid. You go for the nose and we can flip her and...well...that is the plan. We can leave Kaine here...in his place."

Rex then moved in his slowest motion toward the little group then stopped wating for the others. He had not controlled anyone for quite a while...and it felt good...

[Chatoyer]

Shimmer was taken aback by Kaine's decision to suddenly let the brute join the hunt, but carried on walking, noticing how Kaine clumsily tripped over a rock. She stopped and turned to look at him, golden eyes concerned. Chatoyer became even more worried when he announced he wasn't going to bother to continue to participate in the hunt, knowing how much he had wanted to go moose hunting to begin with. But then the strange brute who's name she had not yet learned began growling orders at her and the others and she focussed back on the hunt.

With a last glance back over her shoulder at Kaine, she began to make her way to the left of the herd, keeping her body low to the ground and moving slowly as not to alert either the hinds or the stag. Then she waited.

[Rerkiel]

Rerkiel growled annoyingly then rolled his eyes. "Fine Qrex I'll do as you say." He murmered and looked at the stag.

He silently creped towards the herd, eyeing their target. won't this be fun. He glanced over at Shimmer then at Qrex. Waiting for a signal.
