So I got this awesome gift card for Barnes and Noble, right? Well, they don't carry the series I read. tear; Well, they carry Hikaru No Go and Death Note, but never have the volumes I need because they're lame like that.
I also didn't see any with a unique art style, either; which I usually look for when I'm looking for a new series to start. Suggestions for purchase? And they can't be too obscure, because BN is predujiced against obscurities. |

I'd switch over and buy some Batman comics or something. Ultimate Spiderman's pretty good.

You might like Spiral. Its a mystery series with "genius confrontations" Death Note Style. A little tamer than Death Note, but can be pretty crazy at times. Up to volume 4 is out and I love it.
Of course I'm going to recommend FullMetal Alchemist, since it is one of the best adventure-y series I've read. A balanced mixed of fun and fighting in addition to a really great story. Hidamari (Sunshine) Sketch is the best 4-koma I've read since Azumanga Daioh, though it isn't up to Azu's level of funny. |

Don't get any manga at all.
Stop reading it. Period. Get something good like The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. I actually haven't read it, but Stephenie Meyer recommended it, so it must be good. Or, Pardon me, You're Stepping on My Eyeball by Paul Zindel. It's really weird, and kind of stupid in places. But if I ever became a director I would make a movie of that book. |

@Auhin: I've tried the newer Spiderman and Batman stuff, and it's stupid. I've only found one Marvel series I like so far, and BN usually doesn't have it.
@Baka: I'll look into Spiral, then. I hate FMA. And I read your article of Sunshine Sketch, and since you said it wasn't near Azu quality, I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend my money on it... @Neko: ...no. Normal books are what the library is for. And after asking you guys for opinions, I found a series I'll probably buy. Which I plan to write a review of, I like it so much. |

Have you seen the anime of FMA? If so try out the manga. The manga is faaaaaaar superior. And I agree with the library statement. Unless it's dirt cheap or I can't find it at the library, I don't buy it. And what series is it? |

Well you're just wrong then. And I've heard of Emma. Isn't that the one with the maid? I guess we know why Baka bought it. >_> |

Emma's just plain win.
Is the anime good? I'm always worried that they'll ruin the series. |

regular books > manga
I don't know why I was ever into manga/anime. I guess I just get into fads and then my short attention span kicks in. |
