Main Foyer In the main Foyer of the Fortis Magic Academy sit six stone statues. Each of them seem to be an ancestor of the Headmaster, though the one at the top of the stairway leading to the classrooms, Kitchens, and recreational rooms wears a mask on his head. In the same room are four doors which each lead down into one of the Houses' Common Rooms. The dorms sit on the grounds. If one is sneaky enough, one can sometimes find the Headmaster down here at night, examining the statues, or perhaps arguing with one of the portraits of his forebearers which rest on the wall. Teacher's Offices Here one can find your teachers planning for and relaxing after classes. At the moment it is rather quiet as most of the teachers have yet to arrive. A word of advice to those staking out offices, you may wish to avoid the room halfway down the corridor on the left as there was an...incident involving two nifflers, a quodpot ball, one rogue bludger from an exchange student and discarded potions in there last year and they still haven't gotten the smell out of the room. |

Classrooms Thick dark wood double doors guard this wing of classrooms. Occasionally the doors growl at the odd person or two who gives them too hard of a shove while hurrying to class, leading to the rumor that they may in fact bite. As of yet, no one has been brave enough to test if they actually do bite...trained medical wizards might or might not be standing by, we'll never tell. |

Headmaster's Office This is the office of Headmaster Zaroc Fortis VI. If you're here, then it means that the Deputy Head either has taken a vacation or believes your offense serious enough that it may warrant expulsion or suspension. Or maybe Socrates just can't wake his owner up. Needless to say you should try to avoid teacher appointed visits to this place. Forum Led by: Zaroc Fortis VI |

Inside Dining Hall The Inside Dining Hall is always open, because the schedules are such that students don't eat breakfast or lunch together, and there are always at least two teachers to overlook each Dining Hall. At the moment, the inside dining hall is serving as a place for early students to sleep until the main body of students arrives and the sorting can be done. Forum Led by: Zaroc Fortis VI |

Deputy Headmaster's Office Professor Water's office contains a single ironwood desk that dominates most of the back wall. To either side of the room are shelves. In the less dominated back part of the wall, there is a cage for an owl. Generally, a rather scruffy looking barn owl is sitting there. Other than this, the room would be quite bare if it weren't for the fact that the Professor has managed to take entropy to a new level. The space had literally begun to become disorganized before he got there, but now…well, you can still see the desk…the outline of the shelves…ooooo, and that looks like it was once the floor! The office was previously owned by a man who signed his papers "Jmi Bornw." |

Infirmary Here is the school infirmary where we'll try our best to patch you up after all the various little accidents that can happen in a school of magic. You know, bites of the door variety, potions mishaps, mis-fired spell, rabid faculty. Wait...forget we said that last one. Anyway, the operative word is 'try', I mean you can't honestly expect us to be perfect at the job. Did we mention that we have a lovely little care package for students who have to go to a full blown magical hospital? Forum Led by: Moran Dunbar |

Dorms This path leads down to the four Dorm buildings. This is NOT where you post your characters in the dorms! This is the path toward them. In each dorm building is a special room for the Head Boy and a special room for the Head Girl, though they aren't always used because there can only be one Head Boy and Girl. Dueling Arena On the outside it is something akin to a small version of the Roman Colleseum, only it remains intact. When you first enter the Arena, you'll have an opening leading you to the field and to the stairs which lead to the stands. On the wall beside the stairs, in big red painted letters is; "|337 15 |=0|2 G33|<5!" |

Outside Dining Area Dinner can be taken outside or inside. No matter the weather, if you're nuts enough to eat out in it, you'll find a handful of teachers who'll look after you and anyone else who will eat any meal outside. It's a beautiful dining area, the house tables are long, stretches of benches lined up and polished, instead of walls you'll find a line of trees so thick except for a few areas that work as doors. The Teacher Table is actually a table, set a ways away from the House Tables. There is no roof, and thus the elements are free to come and go as they please, which is why it is suggested to not eat out here when it is raining or snowing, but there is no rule against it. The headmaster finds it entertaining to see students fighting against the elements. He's not adverse to eating out in the crazier weather either. Forum Led by: Zaroc Fortis VI |

Lake Students are welcomed and encouraged to, during the warmer times of the year, swim in the lake, though it does carry the risk of a hinkypunk attack if you're dumb enough to go too deep. A few trees provide shade here and there around the lake. |

Dance Hall This place is usually shut down unless there's a dance or ball scheduled for the school, though some believe there's a door the Headmaster just always forgets to unlock, say, the front doors. When there's a dance or something else going on, you can almost always expect the place to be shaking with music, from the muggle world and the wizarding world. Everyone from Sting, to ACDC to the Weird Sisters is played throughout this building, and the once polished wooden dance floor is testament to its own use due to the many scuff marks where allegedly some of the thicker headed students just wouldn't wear dress shoes. Headmaster Fortis denies to no end that he actually had something do with most of them. |

Lunar Garden This garden is full of beautiful flowers during the day and amid the regular flowers are a handful of species that only bloom at midnight each day. Students SHOULDN'T be awake late enough to see that, and as such Professors do patrol this area, and the Forest. Though it's off grounds, the school is technically in control of it. |

Emerald Valley As you move away from the school you first cross over the huge Emerald Hill and then you turn right through the valley between it and another hill, as you walk through that valley you see the path fork off. The left path takes you into the Ivy Forest and the Right into the Lunar Gardens. Each will eventually meet on the road to town. This valley is only dirt, and this dirt is stained a reddish color. Nothing grows there save for two oak trees, one on one end of the valley and another on the opposite end. REMEMBER, students are only allowed out of the school after classes and until seven and on weekends until seven PM. [ East Oak Tree | West Oak Tree ] |
