Cell phones
Everyone has one. Teachers hate them. They ring constantly And some people wish they could throw their's away. Cell phones. They have to be silenced during classes, but otherwise this is one of the quickest ways to reach someone.

Myspace
Myspace is not just a way to keep in touch these days. It is a way to show how important you are. How many friends you are tells how popular you are. And popularity is important. Every student at Fort Bliss has one.

Bulletin Board
The dorm building is equipped with a good old fashioned bulletin board, for students who are throwing party to put up flyers, sports that need team members to put up sign ups, and everything else you can think of. It's located right in the kitchen beside the fridge so everyone can see it. For those students who wish to hold events, or build teams you must speak with an administrator first. Thank you.

HI Building
The HI building is where all the history classes happen. The building it somewhere on the expansive Fort Bliss campus. It holds such classes as the history of weapons, the history of the media, the history of the government. This is where Fort Bliss students learn about their past to make their futures better. Assassins learn about all the weapons of the past, and how they were built. Government officials learn about how the government went o pot, and hopefully how to fix it. Media Weavers learn about all the techniques the media has used to draw people in. Hackers, and Cyber pirates learn their heritage.

BI building
This building is primarily made of classrooms full of computers. Students are not allowed to use their own computers in their computer classes. Those placed in the classrooms have special locks on them created by Fort Bliss alumni to keep them from accessing myspace, and instant messaging. The BI building is where many computer language classes are taught. As well as code breaking courses, and other classes made specifically for Hackers, and Cyber pirates.

PO building
The PO building is home to all of Fort Bliss' political, and relations classes. For those who are majoring in Government they will spend much of their time in these lecture halls. The PO building plays host to classes on every government type known to man, foreign relations, speech making, and various other political classes. Fluke Bliss took special care in choosing the professors for these classes. Anyone can take these classes, but they are required for the government official majors.

ME building
The ME building is short for the Media Building. Each room is equipped with a pull down screen projector, and tons of images from past media. There is a large library of tapes of old broadcasts in these halls. Media Weavers will spend much of their time here learning all about how the media influences the world. How the media turned the world into what it was. And how Fluke Bliss hopes they will turn it back using the same media. ME plays host to classes on journalism, editing, advertising, and the internet.

The Gymnasium
The gymnasium is a large building with a pool, a weight center, and a basketball court. The pool is indoors so it's always warm. The weight center is on the second level, and the large windows in front of most of the machines offers a beautiful view out over the water. The gymnasium plays host to all that, and classes on self defense, and martial arts. Every student is required to at least take a class on self defense. But Assassins, and Arms Dealers are required to take several martial arts classes. They learn to be just as deadly with their hands as with anything else.

The Library
The library is expansive, and quiet. The building is nearly as big as the gymnasium. The Library offers books on everything, and anything you could ever ask for. There are books the students can use for their school work. Books they can borrow to read for their own enjoyment. Books that date back as far as George Washington himself. And copies of books that go back even further than that. Students can study every aspect of the world as it had once been, and how it has come to be what it is. And the librarian keeps it very quiet.

The Grounds
Fort Bliss is a walled in campus with a great expanse of grounds. On those grounds it offers a soccer field, a football field, a few tennis courts. As well as a wooded area known as Bliss park. Inside the park there is a lake that offers boating, and swimming. There is also a gun range where many classes are held to teach students how to work the latest weapons.

The Dorms
All of the dorms are in one common building, but are split into boys and girls. There is a common room on the first floor, but once those two staircases separate they don't meet again. Also on the first floor there is a small kitchen, and a small study area with a few desks. The common room has two large sofa, a coffee table, and a large tv. Every dorm room is equipped with two beds, a desk, and a bathroom. Students are forced to share a dorm with one other student.

Aulii Metals
Aulii Metals was started by a young Hawaiian man quite some time ago. Since then the business was sold to another man, but the name never changed. It has always been a garage that offers the ability to fix up everything, and anything people bring in to fix. It also offers a small variety of motorcycle gear, and car accessories. The new owner, a man named Inoke, offers jobs to students from Fort Bliss. And is a rather friendly jolly kind of guy.

Akia Hospital
The hospital was started some years ago upon request by Fluke Bliss. As that was the case he offered up much of the funding. Mostly because he wanted his students have a decent hospital to go to if any of them were to be injured. And helicoptering them off the island just wasn't an option. It isn't a very large hospital. In fact it's only two floors. But it suits the needs of the people that live on Akia. It has a small emergency room, and only about one hundred rooms for over night patients. However, the care is good, and the nurses are nice. So there really should be no complaints.

Liko Cafe
This is a small cyber cafe just outside Fort Bliss's walls. It offers fresh coffee, and iced coffee drinks. Chilled lemonade, and bottled water. There are small wooden tables, and the the place is well air conditioned. Fort Bliss students can come here to just relax, have a cool drink, and get some homework done. It's nearly as quiet as the library, but with a much less stiff atmosphere. There is a wireless network so students can bring along their computers. And the service is good.

Palani Sweet Shop
Through the large bay window at the front of the store passersby will be drawn in at the sight of a large display of chocolates. Three cafe tables are inside. So that the guest can sit fireside, and drink warm cups of hot chocolate in the winter. And during the summer come in to enjoy the air conditioning. Palani makes all of the chocolates himself, but also keeps a well stocked variety.

'Oli
'Oli is a small shopping center equipped with a few select clothing stores, an arcade, and a food court. As well as a few other novelty stores. It may not be the best shopping experience, but it certainly is something different. It isn't a closed off mall, it's out in the open with two levels of shopping. And Fort Bliss students can find almost anything they need here. Need clothes for a night out? Well visit Clothes on Us, that offers everything from party dresses to surf shirts. What about books? Well Between the Pages has every book you could ever imagine.

'Eleu
'Eleu would be the place to go for a night of dancing, loud music, and drinks made of cheap liquor. The music is always pumping hard against the walls, and the dance floor is always full. Many of Fort Bliss's students spend long nights here. Pouring themselves into bed just before curfew sets in. There are no tables in this strange bar. Just a few long couches pushed up against the darkly painted walls. And the air is always thick with sweat, and humidity from the outside. Even though it is air conditioned it is always hot in there. So hot that even the humid Hawaiian air feels cool.

Kalama
Kalama is a small run down bar. And to tell the truth usually Fort Bliss students avoid it entirely. However, there are a few brave souls who are willing to walk into it without fear. Most of it's patrons are bikers, and resident tough guys from around the island. But when a group of Fort Bliss students just wants to go, and have a drink without the watchful eyes of their classmates they go there. They'll sit upon the uneven stools, and drink from the chipped glasses quite happily if just for some privacy, and quiet. Kalama is much quieter than it's counterpart that is geared more towards younger people.

Noelani
Noelani may mean heavenly mist in Hawaiian, but Noelani is no where close to heaven. In fact it may be much closer to hell. Noelani is a small tattoo shop right beside Kalama. There are about five tattoo artists who trade out shifts. And only two chairs. All of the artists are heavily pierced, and tattooed. And they scare off many Fort Bliss students. However, those who brave Kalama also may brave Noelani. They go on a drunken whim to get a tattoo when they've grown bored of drinking. Or just because they felt like they needed to shock someone. Either way the prices are rather cheap, and the artwork is good quality.

The Shack
The shack is a small surf shop on the coast of the cliff in the district of Malie. Now why they'd put a surf shop away from the beach is completely unknown to Fort Bliss students. But if you need some board wax, or a new wet suit this is the place to go. However the Shack always sells stuff for cliff diving, scuba diving, and hang gliding. It even rents out hang gliders. With special discounts for students with their student ID. So maybe you're not the adventurous type, and you just want to look around feel free. But if you are the adventurous type this is the place for you. Rent a hang glider, or some rock climbing gear. Scale the cliff. What ever strikes your fancy.

The Pass
The pass is a long torturous trail up the volcano on the coast of the Malie district. No one even offers a donkey to go up that rocky path. Though Fort Bliss students are challenged to climb it once a year some do it more than once. It is absolutely peaceful on the top of the volcano. And walking around the rim you can see the entire island. It just kind of puts everything into perspective. You can rent hiking gear from The Shack, but many students have their own. The trek up takes a least a half day's climb. The trek back, another half. Most students climb it, and camp out up there on their weekends off. It's an awfully convenient place to be alone.

Mahina
Mahina is the name of the cliff on the edge of the Malie district. It over looks the ocean that surrounds the island. And is a straight drop into it. Fort Bliss students tend to go hang gliding off it. Some even camp out at the bottom in the little cave after scaling the side of it. The little cave is the perfect place to meet up with someone you don't want the whole school to know you're associating with. Or to just go with a group of friends, and get drunk without being bothered. At any rate it's the perfect place to just be alone.

Wehiwa
Wehiwa is a large waterfall in the middle of the forest on the coast of the Malie district. It falls from forty feet in the air into a large basin of fresh water. Behind the falls there is a cave that can only be accessed by going through the falls. Though some Fort Bliss students are unused to swimming in natural water instead of the chlorine induced water found around much of the world there are those adventurous enough to try it. Some students hike out into the woods just to find this reserved spot, and take a hand full of thrilling leaps off the top of the falls into the cool water.

Ululani
This long expanse of tan sand is probably the most peaceful place on Akia Island. It offers plenty of space to lay out under the sun, and bake. Or to go out on a boat, and scuba dive. Or go surfing. Or parasailing. Or anything you really want to do in the water. The Fort Bliss students love the beach. Some of them are rather vain, and enjoy it for it's tanning. Others like to do more adventurous things. And it's been said that some go skinny dipping at night. Fluke Bliss hosts a bonfire on the beach to celebrate the beginning of each school year. There is always room to go camping, or just go for a brisk jog down the sand.

A small rickety playground lives on the beach of Ululani. With a couple swings, and a slide. There aren't many children on the island, but those that are don't really use it anyways. Generally it's just a good place to have a seat stick your toes in the hot sand, and shoot the breeze. Sitting with your eyes closed, and inhaling the sea breeze as it blows calmly in off the water is possibly the most peaceful thing one person can ever experience. Fort Bliss students usually take up residence there just for that. But other than that the playground is pretty much unused.

Kainalu
Kainalu is a dock that was named after a resident. The dock holds a few boats owned by the school so that the students can go out for joy rides, and a few others they can rent. Some students just go out there to sit at the end of the dock, and put their feet in the water. Other borrow speed boats, and go out for a joy ride. As long as they don't draw any attention from the other islands Fluke Bliss doesn't mind. And plus there is something freeing about how the wind can take your breath away.
