She could hear the werewolf tear into a group of men as she clung to his back. She was surprised he was having such an easy time. There was wet tearing, and savage sounding dripping and smacking noises coming from close in front of him. He spoke to her then, she knew anyone willing to turn around and rush them probably wasn't a man of standing. Ryudo was a good fighter, but it would still take some work to take down someone with any type of skill.

The sounds around them quieted and Ryudo twisted trying to get a look at her. He lowered to the floor and she tried to quickly disengage herself. Unsure what to expect her muscles seemed to release and she fell in a pile on the floor, thankfully it was only a few inches. Her arms and legs were a bit wobbly, but she was completely intact. She looked down at her pants and boots that were dyed red, with spots of gore. He apologised, and she just shook her head, the action breaking her concentration and stretched herself up off the ground. " Thankyou."

With a few pushes from Ryudo, they were on the move again. They walked on down the empty hallway until they ran into a few more guards. It seemed as though Ryudo had a plan of sorts, as he kept leading them around corners. She pulled her knives but Ryudo cut down the opposers rather quickly. When all were down, he led them into another room.

There was a strange dark haired girl chained in the middle of the room, Nena held her blades forward, it could be a trap. Ryudo however had other ideas, he said Tanith. She squinted her eyes, it was Tanith! A Tanith with black hair and brown eyes, she looked unnatural. As Ryudo approached her more closely she kept her distance. Who knew what they had imbued in those chains to change her so drastically. The Tanith she knew wouldn't have sat there unless she was forced, and by the look of her there was no doubt in Nena's mind. Nena was surprised when she spoke, but didn't say anything. She didn't want her presence known in this unfamiliar place.

Ryudo turned to her then, telling her she would need a place to hide. She looked up and around the room, but she hadn't moved when she heard another group of people making it down the hallway, she moved to just behind the door. She held her knives in front of her, crouched forward for the attack, but the head that appeared before her was the teal headed Brecca and not some unknown thief. He walked directly forward to Tanith, but seemed almost confused about who she was.

Actually, he seemed a little off all over the place. She watched him closely but nonchalantly as though her eyes just happened over him as she was lost in thought. Tanith however had started to get edgy, but she didn't know what to do for the girl. She quickly however tired herself out, her voice growing weak and tired unlike Nena had ever heard before. " What are we going to do?" She turned to Brecca first, then Ryudo, and finally to Joseph. " Do you know how to get her out?" She didn't ask the question directly to anyone, she'd never seen an enchanted item like this.

"I could tug them chains out of the wall easy." Ryudo said looking up from his crouched position at Iskosia from his low position he could see quite easily up into her hood. The murky dark doing little to impair his vision.
"But we would still have to get those cuffs open."
He never really paid much attension to his comrades before, feeling that they were probably better off being anywhere but near him considering what he hunted. He had hoped that if he was venomously indifferent to their presance they would get bored and eventually go away. This plan having failed he supposed he best let them follow him to their deaths if they wished so badly.

Ryudo studied her face finding the scars that defiled her otherwise pretty face rather odd. They seemed all too clean for battle wounds, the lines were straight and deliberate unlike the usual random tears most blade scars looked like. He tilted his wolf-head to the side and blinked, coming to the only other explanation. Torture. He peered at her face doing what he usually did and accidently letting his gaze linger for too long.

He broke his stare after a moment, only because the acrid stink of recreational tobacco filled the werewolfs nostrils and caused him to feel a little nauseous. He rolled his eyes at Taniths whining hopefully the girl would realize that she currently shared company with three other 'regular humans' although you could hardly call a mind reader and a man who should have died hundereds of years ago, regular.

Ryudo shifted as he walked out of the shadows and approached the chains that attached the elementalist to the floor. He gripped one of the large links and gave it a tug. It amazed the Were how the guild could get their hands on things like this but then again the guilds agents were spread all over Neo.
"We will be discovered if we stay here." Ryudo said putting his other hand on the same length of chain and gripping tightly.
"If i can rip them free you will have to get out of here. At least then you can figure out a way to remove the cuffs."

He stepped over Tanith and dug his clawed feet into the floor and pulled where the chain links connected to the floor. The bolts did not budge, this frustrated the Werewolf and he yanked the chain again. Ryudos hair bristled on his neck and he beared his teeth angrily. After a moment the iron bolts wobbled and the ground around them began to crack. He stopped again, and gasped.
"These things have been here a long time. Dont worry Princess. Its just 'regular human' workmanship."
He joked as He pulled once again, the veins in his forearms popping up as the bolts buckled and the ground came away with the chains.

"Jospeh." Ryudo gasped as he staggered over to the next chain link restraining Tanith.
"Find out where the guards are. Iskosia...Kill them." He gasped again as he crouched down to attempt to pull up another chain. Ryudo tried his best to try and disguise his tone but the cercinary captain in him crept into every word. He gave the knife weilding girl a second look and smiled.
"Please?"

After a few more minuites frantic tugging another chain was ripped from the floor.

Joseph nodded at his orders and stared at the doors allowing his mind to reach outward into the rest of the building. There were guards coming alright, and from all over this city not just this building. The wall in the room seemed to shake a little as Ryudo yanked a chain from it and Joseph sighed; the entire den of thieves knew they were here at this point, and it appeared like they were bidding their time to attack all at once, unless they were disrupted. The mind reader nodded at Iskosia and proceeded to lead her to the first group of guards.

Brecca just watched Ryudo exhaust himself pulling the chains from the wall. The alchemist did have an acid that could corrode the chains making the whole ordeal a little easier, but there was no sense in wasting supplies on someone who would inevitably get captured again... His glance fell on Tanith, and thought for a moment on the shackles on her wrist. Who would have thought those runes would work on elementalists. Brecca shrugged and took a seat on a box on the wall opposite the direction Tanith was facing and proceeded with the usual badgering of his company.s

"So, how many times do you intend to get captured or stalked? The kind of company you attract almost makes me wish I knew how to wield a sword." Brecca reached into his coat and fished out his bottle of liqueur and began drinking. "Almost."

Tanith was silent as Ryudo ripped the chains out of the walls. She watched Iskosia and Joseph left to take care of the guards. After that she looked between Ryudo and Brecca. "I really don't appreciate the comments from either of you. It's not like I ask for any of this to happen. I don't go looking for trouble, it comes looking for me."

Tanith stood then, a little shakily. "I've learned to deal with it...but this is ridiculous. Shit these chains are heavy. I feel really tired too," Tanith complained. "Now how about getting the crap out of here and finding a way to get this chains off?"

Tanith moved forward and peeked out of the door, dragging her chains along. "Ugh," she said, looking down at the chains. She reeled them in and gather the lengths of chain and picked the bundle up. "This wont look suspicious in town," Tanith said with a heavy hint of sarcasm. "Hmph...lucky these bastard did something to me or they would all be underground now...well, they are under ground, but that wasn't my point. Oh..you know that I mean."

Meanwhile, the luck dog was having a nice nap on a comfortable bed.

Ryudo had mentioned pulling the chains up out of the ground, Nena wasn't sure it would work. They were magical after all, anything that could smother the powers and natural connections for an elementalist was very strong. She bit her lip while she looked down at the solid brick beneath. " Well if you could, she'd at least be mobile." She shrugged, it couldn't hurt to try, could it? Well, she thought, it could, but there was nothing else they could try. " Do it."

She turned around and looked at the were. He was staring at her. She looked back quizzically but he didn't really respond. It wasn't til a few seconds later when he seemed to come out of a slight daze. She smiled at him, anyway. He crossed the room, picking up a length of chain and winding it round his arms to prepare to pull it up. Nena kept a close eye just in case, she wasn't really sure what was going to happen.

He pulled hard on the links, straight up from the bolts in the ground. The first pull seemed to do nothing, but with a growl his second pull caused the ground around the bolts to crack and break. She was surprised. She expected at least for him to get some kind of reaction from the metal, but things never seemed to play out like they did in your head. She did feel bad for Tanith as Brecca and Ryudo picked on her though. I guess you could call it a " mood lifter" but, she wouldn't have appreciated it.

With the third pull the ground cracked open completely, and for his effort the bolts that were once pinning Tanith to the ground were now free swaying from the end of the lengths of chain. This time when Ryudo turned around, he asked Joseph and herself to take down anyone in the hallways and she turned on her heel to follow Joseph out the room.

She pulled her knives, pushing her cloak back over her shoulders so her arms were free. " What did he mean, find them?" She looked at the strange man beside her, it seemed to be a weird task to assign.

Ryudo pulled up the last of the bolted chains with a grunt allowing Tanith to stand and walk around unimpaired by the links of strange metal. They would still be heavy though, part of Ryudo felt the need to shift into wolf-form and carry the powerless elementalist out of here. If this had been any other situation he would have done so without even asking Taniths permission but at this moment he had made a pact that he would honour before anything else. He followed Tanith a little towards the door and looked at her more seriously than he had before tapping her shoulder to get her attension.

"If you feel as if you can fight then follow me. If you dont think you can, then follow the bodies back to the surface. Brecca will accompany you. Wont you?"
He said looking from the elementalist to the still drinking alchemist.
"He can burn, melt do whatever he does to anything that wants to cause trouble. providing its Theives guild that is."
With that Ryudo stepped into the darkness.

The Werewolf sighed as he quickened his step in order to catch up with Iskosia and Joseph, knowing that against a entire den of theives thet probably wouldnt last long. He never usually took the commanding role, finding the responcibility a large chore unless it was totally required of him. It wasnt his fault though, it was in his blood and when your companions include hedonist Alchemists and those whos combined age was hardly enough to make up a fully mature Dwarf made becoming a leader a requirement in situations like this one.

With a single motion he unslung his duelling glaive from his back and loped off in the direction Iskosias scent was coming from.

Joseph probably looked as confused as she did by her question. Then it hit him, she wasn't aware that he could read minds. Joseph looked flustered at his realization, how on earth could he have left that little detail out?

"I, um."

There were guards approaching, a small wave, not likely to cause much trouble.

"I can read minds."

The corner of his lips tugged upward in an awkward smile as he tried to play his quirk down as some kind of parlor trick, which honestly it was in normal circumstances.

"Tends to get hectic when there are lots of people around, but I have help for the moment."

Joseph motioned to the dragon perched on his shoulder and smiled again. The guards were almost upon them and as Joseph reached further into the guild hall he could hear the aggravated thoughts of a larger congregation of thieves. This was going to get messy.

"And company is almost here, three in this first group. I don't think they'll be much trouble to you, I can even slow them down for you if nothing else."

--------

Brecca looked disappointed that he was relegated to escorting the Elementalist to safety, it meant he would miss all the music; so unfair. He didn't object though, but he did give Ryudo a sarcastic salute and a "Yes Sir!" before he beckoned to Tanith to follow.

"I'd help carry those chains, but technically I'm a magical creature myself,"

Brecca waved his hands above his head to add to his sarcastic tone of voice.

"and touching those runes makes me ill."

Ill was an understatement, the runes come close to killing him, but she didn't need to know that.

"Now come on dear girl, let us see if we cant get out of here and back to the privacy of the inn where I can get those shackles off."
