Welcome to Forgotten Blue! I encourage you to stay awhile and look around. Forgotten Blue is currently looking for active members who can contribute to the story with new characters, posts, and story ideas. If you have any questions, please feel free to post them in the OOC topic, or email me. I, Infamous D, would be glad to answer any questions you might have. My contact information can be found on my profile card. And don't let the rules scare you off! They are only there to keep the peace!
Can't seem to create a character of your own? Would you really like to play the formerly created companion to another character?

These are the characters that have been left behind by others. They could also be characters to support other characters, such as siblings, old friends, etc. (More...)

- Ion Dees
- Crown Prince Rhynn

Name of Species: Merpeople

Species Appearance: There are two forms to a merperson; undersea and landbound.
- In the undersea form, they have fins of some sort, and scaling across their bodies in just about any formation. They also have gills as well as lungs.
-In the landbound form they resemble a half form, still scaled but with legs and arms as a regular landbound character.

Genders: Male and/or Female

Life Span: The majority live to be at least 100, though some have lived up to 300

Compatibility: Peronality qualities are ranging just as humans, and they live in colonies as opposed to citys also similar to humans. Since they are a such smaller race there tends not to be so many evil or hostile groups, but they do exist. Most of the merpeople tend to be strong, outgoing and generally uplifted. Though they do have a tendency to be quite conceited, but this is due to their appealing appearances and strong bodies.

Mythology: Legend states that before the first newlings were brought to Neo, the goddess Atargatis grew bored with just the animal-life amongst the ocean. She sought something a bit more entertaining then just the bestial quality of the creatures that had been created within the waters of the blue ocean. As the newlings began to populate the land she grew fascinated with one man and he himself was nothing more than a lone wanderer. He would spend many days staring out into the blue ocean, never tempting to reach it, just intent to look upon it and Atargatis brought the creatures up from the depths to entertain him so that he would return. Eventually, the Goddess' work paid off and the man eventually agreed to join her amongst the waves and she modified his body. Together for 3 days the man grew homesick, missing his sandy beach and small town. He asked to return and Atargatis was furious, she bade him leave and he did so, seeking out the land he had left behind. But whilst on shore his newly modified body would not allow his return, and he died there on the sand. When Atargatis heard of the news she was devastated, her tears and heartbreak rendering a huge chasm among the ocean. In her sadness she also created creatures in the image of herself and her fallen lover in the forms of their three day love fest, but she created one extra modification, they could choose freely between the land or the sea. She spent many years entertained by her new children, but her heart was forever wounded by her long lost love, and she eventually left them to nurse her wounds within the heavens. And from that day forward, the merpeople were granted a humanoid form in which to travel over the dryer lands of Neo with clear conscious.

Common Strengths: Stamina and strength run abounds in this species, from spending the majority of their lives swimming and fending off attacks from other creatures that seek them harm they rarely are anything less than extremely fit. From their habitat and life span, as well as their constant contact with it, they are all naturally strong water elementalists, using it to manipulate their surroundings so as to move themselves around, as well as defense.

Common Weaknesses: Living most of their lives underwater they tend to have issues with heat and sound. The sun causes them minor pain, but with most they learn to adapt to the landweather.

Place: Though lots of merpeople have ascended to the surface and began their lives there, the majority of the population prefers to stay where they were born.

Races: Created in the image of a goddess the major features are the same. Large scaled tail and a humanoid upper body with skin as well as scales.
