The journey to the capital went without a hitch and upon arrival Brecca's eyes lit up with relief. At last, a little less wilderness and odd company and a little more stone and high society. Tanith appeared to be just as excited if not more so, never having been to a big city before she was certainly in for a bit of a surprise. Though all of this was nice, it was the walls the Brecca wanted to see up close again. Those walls, so perfectly built, were just aching for the alchemist to blow a hole in them.

"In due time..."

Brecca muttered as Joseph rested his face in his palm, his father-of-sorts obsession was just a bit odd, but it wasn't just Brecca's obsessions that were starting to permeate his mind, but that of every other citizen within the enormous city. It would be a test of will to stay in this city, one that Joseph had thought to think ahead for; reaching into his bag the mind reader fished out a braclet that was adorn in runes which he clasped onto his wrist and replaced his memory stone necklace with another which had a rune dangling from the chain. He then grasped hold of a half moon and metal sphere trinkets and held them in his hands and took in a deep breath as he prepared himself for the ever growing presence of other minds.

Ryudo blinked as he wandered through a city he barely recognised. Most of the buildings were very new. Obviously after the wars there had been an influx of riches allowing the capital to expand and improve upon itself. Ryudo tried not to let his mind wander too much there were pickpockets in every city and the theives guild operated heavily here. He was looking for the Mercinaries quarter, and area of the city given to those who survived the events following the war. He remembered a time before then, a time when his father would take him to the city to stand in the parades during the summer festivals. It was one of the only times he could remember doing anything other than sparring with Ráyu. He remembered his fathers words, that one day Ryudo would be standing here as a guest of honour with his son. He sighed, always knowing that it would never happen.

He wondered even if Jul still lived here. Afterall, the war took a terrible toll on her homeland as it had the Locket empire. It had been over twenty years and it seemed unrealisitc that the Elf woulnt have returned home at some point. It depressed the werewolf even more to think that he had come all this way for nothing. He stopped the group at a crossroads in the steet and turned to face them all wondering why the hell these people were following him when he had no idea where he was going himself.

"lets find a place to sleep." He said turning his wolf head up to the sky, barely able to pick out the stars above the glare to the many street lamps. He looked back towards the group and smirked at Tanith before continuing.
"A place with baths."

"If there is any business you have here in the city i suggest you do it soon, i do not intend to stay here long a few days at most." He said, his eyes glaring over the group before he realized he was doing it again. He wasnt a captain of soldiers anymore, he wasnt anything.

Crossing her arms within her cloak, Nena tightened her fists. The closer they came to the outer walls of the city the more nervous she became. Her brain was a flurry of emotion and she used the tightening of her hands to keep it from her face. She was tired of being so outward with her emotions and especially in unfamiliar territory she liked to be on her guard.
Ryudo had mentioned before that this would be the most obvious place to find any information on Hert and she hoped he had not changed his mind about helping her. She knew she could probably do it without him, but the more thieves the more likely she would be discovered. She pulled her hood down tighter masking her eyes once more. She scanned the crowd closely looking for any sort of familiarness about them and kept coming up empty handed.
A little movement out of the corner of her eye caught her attention and she turned to watch Joseph go through one of his little rituals he always seemed to be doing. He was changing talisman's or what she thought they might be. She watched him curiously pondering over why he would be doing that. She was mildly curious as to why at this moment but felt it may be a bit rude of her to ask and instead turned her head towards Ryudo as he began speaking. She would have to pull him aside when they found an inn.

Tanith flashed Ryudo a grin when he turned to look at her, then trotted ahead to try and find a place. She went in and out of several inns before stopping on one. She bounded back out and met up with the group. "Okay, we will be staying here. Its got nice rooms and big baths! No to mention comfy beds. I got a room for each of us, but its up to you if you wish to use it. Here," Tanith said handing everyone a key with a number on it. "I paid for it, so don't worry. I think they have good food too, so feel free to eat anything."

She picked up a hand full of rocks off the ground and looked around. She rubbed the rocks in her palms for a few minutes, then gave everyone a few precious gems. "TADAAAA! Spending money! I am going to go take a bath now, so you guys can go take care of the business you came here to do. If you leave soon, come and get me! If you leave me here you will regret it." Tanith targeted this statement towards Ryudo and Brecca mostly, then turned away and entered the inn.

The dog meanwhile, was looking around. It had a suspicious feeling about something but couldn't put her paw on it. With a moan, her ears began twitching, trying to pick up and sounds that might alert her to what it was. She looked up at Ryudo, having a feeling he was keeping anything at bay.

Within a spit second, strange roped wrapped around her waist and she was pulled into the shadows of an ally way. She let out a startled cry and then everything was silent. A shadowy figure suddenly leaped into the air, carrying a tied bag.

Brecca rolled his eyes at Ryudo before marching away from the group.

"Of course dear boy, a few days. Hardly enough time to enjoy oneself, but by all means rush."

This city was a place that Brecca had a mixed opinion of, it had a wider selection of just about anything than Seremone and was home to more than a few fond memories. At the same time, Brecca's earliest days in the assassins guild were spent in this city; the lives he was responsible for ending, even if only indirectly; made it uncomfortable to walk the streets. Not that the alchemist felt guilty, but one can never be too certain that someone didn't take offense to the poisons he developed. Never the less, he had three days by Ryudo's schedule and that was more than enough time to indulge himself, and even tie a few loose ends.

----

Joseph smiled and took the key to his room from Tanith as well as the gems and promised to hold onto Brecca's share. The mind reader was sweating around his brow, it took a good deal of effort to pacify the intruding voices and it was beginning to show. There were so many people Joseph could hardly contain them all, it was with good grace that he had managed to hold them at bay this long, even if it were only a few minutes. This meant that more drastic measures needed to be taken to keep himself stable while he stayed here these three days. Erecting a few mental barriers might help, as well as some more... experimental procedures. Though, if he were to keep from falling apart at the seams he needed to something soon. So he moved swiftly to his room, making note that he should explain the need for the charms to Iskosia later when the situation permitted.

Ryudo took one of Taniths many keys and raised an eyebrow as she turned the handfulls of dull pebbles into precious gemstones. It puzzled Ryudo slightly and made him wonder if the girl ever neded to work for anything. For the Werewolf to earn a sum of coin to compare with the gems he would have to do mercinary workfor longer than his own lifetime. Before Ryudo could speak Tanith and Jospeh had wandered off towards the Inn. He sighed as he Turned to Iskosia wondering how in the world he was still with these oddities of humanity.
He grinned at Isoksia and spread his sinuey furry arms wide.

"This is the city of Locket, the greated Trade and Travel hub on all of Neo."
He said aloud, gaining rather worried looks from passers by. None of these citizens had seen a Werewolf before and the looks he was getting were ones of amazed curiosity instead of the scared and hateful ones back in Brecca's hometown.
"If we are to find your Theives guild, we will find it here."
He continued as he lowered his arms.

There was strange sound by Ryudo's feet causing his ears to twitch, a sound the Werewolf compared to that of a Lasso. By the time he had turned his head to look the discovered the small golden dog was gone, nowhere to be seen. His wolfen brow furrowed and in a blink of an eye and a flourish of his wrist his glaive seemed to appear in his hand. A yelp came from a nearby aleeyway that drew the Werewolfs higtened senses, but he was too late, the suspect had already bounded out of the darkness away from them.

He glanced sideways at Iskosia.
"Looks like your theives guild came to us manling."

Ryudo was gone, after the theif with a single leap landing feet first against the wall of the building next to the alleyway and launching himself away up into the air above the street his eyes focusing on the shadowy figure. As far as Ryudo was conserned, the dog was his.
No-one takes his belongings, ever not without loosing a limb or two in the process.

Much to the dispair of those in the street below.

Ryudo roared.

Nena took her key and her gems as offered, thanking Tanith before she disappeared back into the inn. She pocketed the items carefully within her cloak when Ryudo distracted her once more. She smiled at his speech about the city. She noticed again the way people looked at him and was surprised this time by their curiosity, it wasn't like before where it was fear mixed in just plain old, look at that furry man with the teeth, curiosity. She raised an eyebrow, contemplating what that meant exactly when someone swiped their smallest companion. When Ryudo looked at her mentioning it may be the theives guild she jumped up just as quick to follow.
She watched the werewolves strange leap and cursed beneath her breath, he was a faster runner than she was and now she knew keeping up, especially with her height in the crowd was going to be a problem. She settled for weaving her way through the crowd. She slipped deftly between groups of people, women carrying packages, men grumbling in long cloaks, children playing games in the alleyways and beggars shuffling along the street their hands held out as they plead.
Ahead of her she saw a squat carriage, the top covered in a dark leather and towards the side of the street. She jumped landing first on the step up and then grabbing the roof with her hands flipping herself over on top of it, the driver yelled to her, but she quickly scanned the crowd for Ryudo, before leaping back off and back into the crowd.

The mysterious man clutching the burlap sack was not easy to catch. he was very nimble and very quick. He looked around him, targeting his pursuers with his eyes, aware of their presence. He supposed that this appeared to be a dog napping to them, which made him smirk. "How sweet, have you found another owner?" He said, directing the question to the dog in struggling in the sack.

There was a glint in the sky as light bounced off silver scales. The man looked up, then suddenly changed direction and headed towards the glinting object. As it came closer, a long snake like creature slithered through the air. It was not a snake, however, as it had four legs towards each end of its body. Each leg had paws that sported huge claws, capable of shredding anything they came in contact with. It's head resembles a dragons with long horns, piercing eyes, and large teeth. However, it had a pair of long whispered coming out of the side of its muzzle.

This was a creature that few had ever seen. It was indeed a dragon, but one from a very very distant land few even knew existed. The dragon landed in a dark ally way, but strangely, no one in the streets had seemed to notice it.

The man also landed in the street in front of the dragon and kneeled, opening the sack. The golden dog inside shot out and would have bitten the man if the dragon had not caught her tail. The dog turned and was startled but what she saw and flipped around to face the dragon, growling at it. Her ears were flattened and her spine stood on end, tail bushing out.

"It took a long while to track you down," the large dragon hissed. It paused a moment, then spoke again. "What? After all this time you have nothing to say, or is it that you can no longer speak?"

<HA! It's not that I can't speak, it just that I do not want to talk to the likes of you!> The dog thought to herself.

The man stood and rubbed her head, but let out a startled cry when she latched onto his hand, crunching bone. "AHHHHH! SHE BIT ME! I CAN'T BELIEVE SHE BIT ME!"

The dragon could not help but laugh at this. "I think she is still angry at us," it hissed.

"I see that!" the man squeaked, "Now tell her to let go!" When the man did not get his command, he looked at the dragon. "GRANDFATHER!"

"That is enough, Fane. Let him go now," the dragon finally said.

However, the golden dog did not budge. Instead she stared into the eyes of the dragon, defiantly. This was something not even the bravest would do. <Let him go? HA! What are you going to do bite me in half?> she thought. <Though at this point, I wouldn't be surprised.>

"Fane Xiaodan van Gesandis!" The dragon shouted, "Let him go immediately! Do not disobey your elders!"

The dog merely growled in response. However, this only made the dragon angry. "THIS! This is why we were forced to do what we had to do! You spoiled child!" With a swipe of his tail, he sent both the dog and the man into the wall. However, neither of them were hurt, but it did make the dog let go of the man's hand.

There was a moment of silence, then our of rage, the dog latched onto the dragons tail, trying to rip it to shreds. It growled and shook its head violently, but the dragons scales where more than enough to protect it from harm. The dragon merely let her until the dog finally stopped, lowering its head. Some sort of mumble came from the dog and the dragon cocked its head slightly and moved its head closer to the dog.

"Eh? What was that? I'm old, you will have to speak up," he hissed.

"GET OUT OF HERE!" The dog yapped loudly, clear as day. "I dont eve want to see your faces again! YOU BETRAYING BASTARDS! YOU ARE NO LONGER MY FAMILY! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO APPEAR BEFORE ME! GET LOST!"

The dragon looked at Fane with a raised eyebrow, and surprisingly he had one to raise. However, as he looked into the dogs golden eye, he saw that she was serious. The dragons heart suddenly began to ache and he lifted his head from the dogs level. "A lesson had to be learned, my child..."

"Shove it old man," Fane barked, literally. "Get out of here and take this fool with you." There was a long pause then and Fane lifted her lips, baring her fangs. "Oh...and tell my father his daughter is dead."

Concern flooded over the dragons face. "You realize what you are doing, don't you. You will never be able to return ho-"

"HOME?! Don't make me laugh! I have no home to return to! I lost my home and my family when they decided to betray me! CURSING ME to live life as a mutt! I never want to see any of you again!"

The dog spun round, then high tailed it into the streets. It narrowly missed a speeding carriage, but managed to avoid it by dashing under it and between its wheels.

The man tried to go after her, but was stopped by a heavy claw on his shoulder. "Let her be. She has made her decision...." he said quietly.

"I am beginning to wonder...if we did the right thing. Perhaps...we made a mistake," the man answered.

"I...am beginning to wonder that myself, my boy. Now come. We must tell your father what she wished us to tell him." The man jumped onto the dragon and then the dragon snaked into the sky and vanished in a glint of light.

The dog dashed back towards the hotel, but she really didn't know why. Perhaps it was because she wanted to be by someone she knew. <That dragon! He actually made me speak when I vowed I never would again!> Eventually, the dog slowed to a walk, ears dropping. <He just had to remind me of what I used to be. That bastard has no idea what its like to have these small paws and no imposable thumbs!> The dog had lifted one of her paws to look at it, wiggling her toes as if to prove a point.

She suddenly realized someone was staring at her and looked over to see a rather suspicious man with an animal skin hat staring at er with a smile. She looked away and began to walk again, picking up the pace, only to realize the man started to move too. <Ok, creepy! time to find a door to duck into...>

Ryudo tried to keep his eyes on the theif but with all the hustle and bustle of the street it was nearly impossible. He had the dogs scent in his nose but inside the dog-nappers sack it was muffled and hard to follow it only took a blink of an eye and the man had gone Ryudo planted his feet onto the cobbled street after another long leap. The half scared cityfolk clearing a place for his to land.

"Dammit!" Ryudo hissed to himself as he glanced over his shoulder making sure Iskosia was following. Once he spotted her her flared his nostils breathing in deeply allowing the various disgusting and sweet smells of the city filter through it. He could still make out the dogs scent but it was further away now and almost in traceable through the other canine smells in the air. Once Iskosia had in in her eyesight he kept on moving down the street.

Then he saw the man again darting off down a side street. Ryudo growled before bounding off again. But after following for a short while Ryudo lost them again. His ears then pricked upwards as he sound of the dogs bark rang out from down a dark alleyway. It was odd though, as if the dog was yelling words instead of inaudiable yapping. He crept silently towards the opening of the alley and peaked his wolf like head around the corner. His eyes easily picked out the man and the small golden canine...

...and the large silvery dragon.

Dragon? Ryudo thought to himself his eyes widening at the sight. He pulled his head back and kept his ears open and pricked upward, listening intently to every word. He seemed to have started eaves-dropping halfway through an argument. But most of the dialoge was lost on his as his mind struggled to cope with the idea that the small dog could talk and there was infact a large dangerous looking dragon in the middle of the capital city. As he heard Iskosia's light footsteps behind him he held up his hand silently talling her to stop.

Not five minuites passed before the small dog bounded past Ryudo off down the street. Ryudo made a attepmt to grab the dog but it was too quick and didnt even seem to notice the wolfman. He blinked and watched the furry creature dissapear again. After a few moments he turned to look back down the alleyway only to see the strange man and the dragon had dissapeared.

He returned his worried eyes to Iskosia and made a confused face.
"Whatever that was it wasnt The Theives guild."

Ryudo began walking back the way they had come.
"Why are you looking for the guild anyway?" He asked Iskosia. Before she could reply he started to talk again.
"The mercant quarter would be the best place to start looking." Ryudo said.
"I dont think we got as far as that in Seremone."
Ryudo cracked a grin, one only a Werewolf could. But the only thing on his mind at the moment was the dog and a name he had overheard, that name kept ringing around his head like a bouncing ball.

'Fane?'

Brecca looked over his shoulder at the commotion behind him, shrugged, and continued walking. Trouble found these people wherever they went, if the alchemist ran to check up at every arm flailing or pursuit his patience for them may dissipate before he ever saw the beast getting a taste of it's own medicine. His mind wandered and his feet followed suit, he took in the sights of the city and marveled as if he had never been here before. His wandering would eventually lead him to an unmarked building with it's door ajar; Brecca pushed it open and reveled in the dim lights and smokey atmosphere. The building was a drug den, when alcohol just didn't suffice. Flamel was greeted by an old wrinkled man in blue robes who asked Flamel what his fancy was.

"I want to forget I exist."

The elderly man opened his eyes a little wider and examined Flamel before nodding.

"You'll need a room then."

Brecca grinned a crooked grin as his body resisted it's souls odd expressions; he reached into his money bag and fished out a gold coin and held it up to the old man who was more than eager to take the money. Brecca was guided into a small room with dim lit candles and large silk pillows resting around a device that resembled a hookah. Brecca held out his hand and the old man rested a small bag on it and left. Brecca drew the thin curtain that served as a door closed and erased the world from existence, if only for a little while.

Nena was reminded just how quick Ryudo could be. She kept having to find another high point to jump to just to be able to keep going in his general direction. After the carriage she leapt up onto a stack of barrels, caught herself by her fingertips in a small high framed window, quickly scaled a fence, yet still she was falling further and further behind. In between it all she had to slip quickly passed people coming and going through the streets and she did her best not to push anyone too hard. If anyone was looking for a way to find her they would just need to follow the constant stream of apologies.
Finally, Ryudo had stopped and she skirted over towards him, he held up a hand and she knew to keep silent. From down the alleyway she could hear a few people speaking, but she couldn't make out the words. She watched Ryudo, trying to see if he could make them out, and from the intense look on his face she was sure that was the case. Though before she could think of anything to get them closer the dog came barrelling out of the open alleyway and onto the street. Ryudo made to grab her but she was already too far and long gone. Nena crouched down, reaching for her daggers in case the man came to follow, but he didn't.
When the coast had cleared, or the alley more like, she followed along behind Ryudo back the direction they had come. " I need to get some information," she replied after he had finished speaking. " There is someone I am looking for."

As soon as Tanith got into her room, she immediately began to prepare herself a hot bath. In the blink of an eye she was soaking in warm fragrant water and sighed with content. "Ahhh, this is how baths should be taken. Not in any cold streams," she said to herself.

She was so comfortable in fact, that she quickly dozed off.

"I'm scared..."

Tanith's eyes suddenly snapped open as the voice reached her. "I...on?" Tanith whispered, thinking the voice sounded a lot like her brother. "Na, couldn't have been. He is safely at home with Mama and Papa."

Tanith got out and dried off and wore a robe as she washed her clothes and hung them to dry. However, the phrase she had heard kept rebounding through her head. In all honesty it was beginning to make her worry. "It's okay, it's okay. I am just being paranoid, that's all," Tanith whispered, reassuring herself.

Tanith suddenly remembered something and nearly fell over. "Ah crap! I forgot! If I attract some monster to the city, things could go very bad! What do i do?!" Tanith exclaimed, grabbing her head. She thought long and hard for a moment, then slammed her fist into her palm, getting an idea. "AHA!"

Turning, she dashed out of her room, searching for Joseph. A few seconds later, she was knocking on his soor. "Yo!" Tanith called in a cheerful voice. "It's me Tanith. Are you in there, Joseph? I have a favor to ask of you."

"Oh really?" Ryudo said looking at the girl with a raised eyebrow. Not many people looked for the Theives guild simply for information more often than anything else it was to take back what the guild had stolen before it got fenced to a dealer on the black market. The werewolf didnt usually like to pry but his situation was similar and growing up with a minotaur who often liked to help those in need some of Almwaters goodwill had rubbed off on the usually uncaring wolfman.

"Its possible they know we are here already." He said after a pause. "If they didnt see our little chase down the street then they probably saw Taniths little 'dirt into gems' trick and are watching her too."
Ryudo mentally thrust his face into his palm. In his rush to save the dog, Fane...whatever it was he had left Tanith who was more than a little carefree alone. He reassured himself that she was with Joseph who would easily scence any minds nearby with malicious intent towards the girl. Failing that there was always...

...The Werewolf failed to be comforted by the idea that the mad alchemist was nearby.

They followed a bunch of signs to the trade district, were the streets were lined with merchant stalls and shops selling all kinds of wares from weapons and armour to exotic fruit and local produce as well as the odd Fey-Shen slavers who always found a buyer or two in these places. As much as there was vendors there was the homeless and destitude who made their living from theivery. Even as Ryudo looked around he could see them, working in pairs to distract food merchants while others stole as much as wouldnt be noticed. Others misled the city watch to other areas of the city so that other thieves could continue stealing.

Ryudo stepped closer to Iskosia and pointed towards a pair of peasants robbing a famer of one of his livestock of goats to use as an example.
"These are the people who know where to find the guild." He whispered close to Iskosia's ear. A dull gold pendant flashed as the sunlight caught it when it revealed itself from under the dishevelled mans shirt.
"They are the guild. Its eyes, its ears and its fingers."

Ryudo grinned as he watched the pair of poor commoners. After a moment he looked to Iskosia.

"How would you like to go thief catching?"

Joseph had effectively turned the inns room into a scene from a seance. He was encircled by his trinkets as he sat on the floor. His head bobbed up and down as if had fallen asleep sitting down. Within his own mind though, he had erected barriers against thought that insisted on intruding and attempted to topple him. The barriers worked with the same magic that his trinkets did only more temporary. The walls could be lifted with a trigger word, and similarly could be brought back up. It all looked well but the walls wouldn't last long, they dissolved over time and under pressure, he would need to strengthen them every day he was here, maybe even more often than that. Never the less, he was safe from being overwhelmed. Joseph came out of his trance about the time that Tanith started knocking.

"Come in Tanith, don't mind the creep show in here."

Tanith heard Josephs reply and opened the door. She let out an "ah" sound at the site of the room, but didn't think it was a creep show. She closed the door behind her, then spoke. "You should consider becoming an interior designer," Tanith said with a nod, though it was hard to tell if she jested or if she was serious.

She moved over to one of the objects to look at it more closely, "I cam by to see if you had a magic-suppressing item I could use. I don't want the city demolished while I am here. That would get me into a lot of trouble, I believe, and I would prefer to stay on the low down." Tanith lifted her bandaged arm and gave one of the more dangly objects a tap and watched it move about.

"But, if you need all them don't worry about it. I just want to be on the safe side-" Tanith was cut off as there was another knock at Joseph's door. Well, knock wouldn't be the right word. More like a pound. Tanith turned toward Joseph with a grin. "Seems like your a very popular guy. Didn't know you got around that much," Tanith said with a wink.

Tanith moved over towards the door and opened it slightly, only to find herself thrown a few feet as a burly guy busted the door in the rest of the way. "Oi," Tanith said, getting up and rubbing her butt. "That wasn't very nice."

The man grinned, "My bad. I forget my own strength...."

At this moment, two other men appeared from behind him. One was picking his fingernails with a dagger and the other one just stood there, silent and unmoving.

"I suppose you didn't come by for any Grey Poupon?" Tanith said, putting a fist on her hip.

The big guy gave a laugh, "Haha, your funny. too bad I don;t even know what that is. But I didn't come here ot laugh at your jokes, girlie. I came here for you."

Tanith turned to look at Joseph, "Awe, sorry Joe-Joe. I stole your fan club...."

"Now if you wouldn't mind, please come with us," the burly man stated.

Tanith pouted a little, "But I don't wanna. I was hanging with my buddy over here until you guys rudely interrupted. Why do you want me anyway?"

The burly man smiled, "Because you got some might fancy fingers. We saw you pull some neat little trick out in the street and thought it would be in your best interest to put you under....protective custody."

Tanith gave a sigh, "I have no idea what you are talking about."

Tanith felt something breeze passed her and then noticed that the silent one was gone. "Eh? Where did you friend go?"

"Turn around and you will find out," the guy with the dagger said.

Tanith turned and found that the silent man had Joseph. A strange looking dagger was being held to his neck.

"NOW do you know what I am talking about?" the burly man asked.

"Well, I think I remember SOMETHING," Tanith said.

The burly man nodded, "Good, good. Then I suggest you come with us, or I will have your boyfriends throat slit. Got it?"

Tanith was silent for a moment, looking between Joseph and the other men. She could dispose of them quickly, but that would destroy the inn they were in. And since this was a city, the rukus may not be appreciated. She may have been a country bumpkin, but she DID remember her parents preaching to her about the life in cities.

Tanith held up her hands, "Alright, alright. Just don't hurt my 'boyfriend' would ya?"

The dragon that was always with Tanith was just out of site, as Tanith had told it to stay hidden. Tanith knew these types and wouldn't be surprised if they killed Joseph off after she left anyway. So she was going to leave Astroth there with him, just in case.

A few moments later, Tanith was being marched out of the room at knife point. A second later, the silent man was dead, having had his head bitten off by a dragon the size of a large horse. The dragon had taken it own initiative to dispose of the threat before anything could be done.

The dragon shrank back down to size and found a place on Joseph's shoulder, a bit miffed that he had to leave Tanith by herself. The dragon curled it's tail around Joseph's neck for balance, then spoke to him though his mind as if his barriers didnt exist.

<Mind is full. Must learn to quiet. I quiet for you.> The dragon stated. Suddenly, Joseph's mind would become silent, filled with only his own voice and his own thoughts. <Now can go get Tanith! No more mind doom, so now go Tanith!> The dragon said, leaning forward towards the door slightly.
