SHABAM! It's multiplatform, but to reiterate what Blaze said, "I got it for ps3 so I'll put it here."

This game is amazing, a real one-up from the first Assassin's Creed. Going through Renaissance Italy and killing off the bad guys who murdered your brothers and father, while also killing them to stop some sort of evil plot.

It's more like an RPG now too rather than a simple game that awards you with gear as the story progresses. Items like medicine, smoke bombs, swords and armor can all be bought now as you work your way through the game.
You even go through dungeons beneath six important landmarks in Italy to find the seals of other Assassins to unlock Altair's armor.
Double hidden blades that act as also a gun and a distributor for poison, both of which are fun to play with.

Fights against guards are a lot more fun too, as there's all kinds of new moves and weapons to play with.
You can disarm a guard and steal their weapon. They wield everything too; swords, axes, hammers, spears and knives. The most fun ones are the larger versions of the swords and axes that actual Knights wield.
Ezio can even dodge and come back with his own strikes, something Altair never thought of.
Heck, you can hold guards or random people hostage to fend off pursuers.

The story is also amazing, much better and a helluva lot less repetitive as the first game. I felt the beginning was a little rushed, trying to get through Ezio's early life as quickly as possible to get to the part where it changes forever, but maybe that's just me.

Did I mention you can fly too? Yeah, it's pretty fun, hard as hell to control though.

Haha there's never any difference between games that are multi-platform, just the controllers and systems it's played on.

I'm playing it right now =D.

I also just bought the two DLCs for AC2: Bonfire of the Vanities and Secret Locations (6.99$ on PSN, 1.5gig) and Battle of Forli (3.99$ on PSN, 700mb).
I'm so excited to try them out, AC2 has to be one of the best games I've played all year.

I've been meaning to get the first one, or at least try it. I mean I have tried it at a friends house on his PS3 but I had no idea what to do so I kind of put it aside.

Then I heard AC2 wasn't that great so I just...uh...didn't bother with it anymore.

But now I have to try it, video game classes demanded that I play it.

Assassin's Creed 1 isn't that good, it's pretty repetitive in a lot of it's aspects. Has a good story too it though.
Assassin's Creed 2 however is amazing. The graphics are pristine and it really looks like Italy, and I've only seen it in movies.

YOU HAVE TO GET AC2!!!! Get AC1 too if you want, I recommend it.

I kinda have to get it. My video game critique and analysis class has chosen that as our first project. I heard the school would pay for it but I'm not sure.

And yes, I get to take a class where I get to play video games all day. I'm livin' the dream.
