Title: Steam Fanclub

DensetsuEX - December 31, 2010 06:09 AM (GMT)
Okay it's not really a fan club, I just love Steam.

Seriously though, they have amazing deals on awesome games.
Like today you can get Left 4 Dead 2 for only $6.79. And the Grand Theft Auto 4 Complete Collection, which contains GTA4 and the two episodes that go with it, is on sale for only TEN FREAKING BUCKS!
Too bad I already own the episodes.

Still, I love it. 90% of the games you can get for PS3 or Xbox 360 you can get on Steam, plus there's a ton of Steam exclusive games, both Indie games and some you can only get from Steam, like Garry's Mod.

I logged into Steam today for the first time in like two years?

I forgot I had an account.

I'd love to get Left 4 Dead 2 and all that, but my computer sucks.

DensetsuEX - December 31, 2010 12:59 PM (GMT)
If your computer stats match or are better than these:

Supported OS: Windows® 7 32/64-bit / Vista 32/64 / XP
Processor: Pentium 4 3.0GHz
Memory: 1 GB for XP / 2GB for Vista
Graphics: DirectX 9 compatible video card with 128 MB, Shader model 2.0. ATI X800, NVidia 6600 or better
Hard Drive: At least 7.5 GB of free space
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

Then you can play Left 4 Dead 2 on at least Low settings.
My laptop can play it on Medium settings and my desktop (which doesn't work D=) can play it on High settings.
Most likely your computer will be able to run it, unless it was before XPs time.

Blaze - December 31, 2010 11:01 PM (GMT) processor is...well old. Not sure what it is.

DensetsuEX - January 1, 2011 11:39 PM (GMT)
Damn that sucks. Well when you get a better computer ADD ME AND GET L4D2 SO WE CAN PLAY AND PWN ZOMBIES.

Blaze - January 2, 2011 03:56 AM (GMT)
YES! WILL DO! *gets killed by a hunter* Are those in L4D2?

DensetsuEX - January 2, 2011 04:08 PM (GMT)
Oh yeah, hunters, boomers (now both male and female), witches, tanks and smokers are still in L4D2.
There's also some new special infected, but you probably know of them already.
Spitters spit out an acidic goo that hurts you constantly if you stay in the puddle.
Jockeys ride your head and steer you anywhere they want.
Chargers smash into you at high speeds, separate you from the group and then slam you down until you're dead.

Plus there's now uncommon infected that are unique to each level:
Police officers (shoot them in the back!), Construction workers (head shots are almost impossible on them!), Hazmats (immune to fire!), Fallen Survivors (carry all kinds of goods!) and Mudmen (cover your screen with mud so it's harder to see).

People who make custom maps also sometimes screw around with tanks, like I've seen really strong and hard to kill green tanks, flaming tanks that don't die from the fire, red tanks, and GOLD tanks (yeah, me and my friend were like wtf).

Blaze - January 2, 2011 11:43 PM (GMT)
Yeah I've read about the different infected types in L4D2, I always do research on games I plan to buy.

Gold Tanks...seriously WTF?

DensetsuEX - January 3, 2011 03:17 AM (GMT)
Yes, gold tanks. They're extremely hard to beat. Shiny too.

Me and my friend just played through two custom maps, one was styled after the titanic, it was awesome =D.

Blaze - January 3, 2011 10:11 AM (GMT)
I'm getting L4D2 RIGHT NOW, I'm sure my comp can handle it. Maybe. On second thought...

DensetsuEX - January 3, 2011 05:57 PM (GMT)
That's hurting D= and it shall be worth it.
Hopefully you don't have the same script glitches me and my friend have been having.

Out of 10,670.0MB only 1,514.7MB has downloaded. I hate my internet.
