There are regular problems with violence connected to rugby, both on and off the pitch. Rugby players regularly injure one another, sometimes resulting in death and often in expensive health treatment. They also, when drunk and in pubs, often behave in an aggressive and violent manner, harrassing people and generally being boorish. Should the sport be banned? There is, after all, no need for it.

Hmm moot point, leads to nationalistic sentiment spilling over, people skipping off work when there is a big match on etc.

Not a huge fan of athletic sports myself, much more keen on anything to do with cars or bikes.

Well a pox on the pair of you because rugby is quite clearly the best sport/ game in the world.

P.S. I live within spitting distance of the Montmelo circuit and hear the cars/ bikes screaming around from my office (when I'm there)

I agree, many more incidents of violence and injury on turning out time on a Friday night. Rugby stays unbanned!

Case closed!

motorcar and bike racing are not proper sports. to much depends on the machine. although they do require a lot of concentration and stamina.
rugby is a contact sport but off the pitch the players and surporters do seem to be able to get on well.

What a load of Tosh,
Rugby is a fantastic game at whatever level. and isn't someone mixing football and Rugby up. you don't need an army of police at twickenham at an international game like you had a Wembly for what is known as a FRIENDLY haha.
