Do you agree with the quote or believe that the opposite is true? -------------------- |

I agree. Fools are generally close minded and will only believe what they first have decided is right. Continuing with that, because they are fools, they generally have a better chance of being wrong. So being wrong + close minded means that they'll refuse half of an arguments concepts out of sheer bias, and then the other half will generally have worse/less justification. That itself is justified because we've already defined it as being "wrong".
Wise are usually observant and objective in their thinking. So when those same disputes occur they'll be able to think of every concept on every side and attempt to justify each one equally. This will spread their mind out branching more and more. Fools are required in this because otherwise there would be nobody to observe or nobody to bring up the wrong side as being right. Of course, if there's to be a debate to be had, then we'll first have to define what separates the wise from the foolish. -------------------- Aetharsioll Koios - Mage, Level 1

Is there necessarily a defining line? Perhaps everyone has the wise man and the fool within them. -------------------- |

Whatever the case, we need to agree on terms to separate varA from varB. Without that we won't get far. -------------------- Aetharsioll Koios - Mage, Level 1

What is wise and what is foolish seems to be an opinion to me, so each and every person will have a different opinion.
