Well, the dearth of sprite contests is due to the perceived absence of interested and motivated sprite artists. This poll is to redelimitate that perception.

Yeah, I'd join, though I'm not too hopeful about it. I remember that even before everybody went inactive the contests were waning in popularity. I think I even almost one once...that's pathetic the contests got:

Custom mug with battle sprite or custom animation of an edited battle sprite. Have judges rate entries out of 10 on several categories

I was thinking of just doing a freestyle mug/battle sprite contest as to not limit the possible entrants.
