![]() What, I exist? Group: FES Veteran Posts: 6,861 Member No.: 1 Joined: 14-February 06 |
Welcome to Frequently (which means never) Asked Questions about FES! Below are a bunch of questions about the site, and their answers.
Q: Who works behind the scenes at FES? A: The staff list can be found here. Q: What does it mean to be a Newbie? A: You are a Newbie when you first join the forum. Until you get 50 posts and promote to a normal member, you cannot change your title, and you cannot post in the Spam Board. Q: What does it mean to be a Tactician? A: The Tacticians are only different from normal members because they have an official emote for themselves. You need 750 posts to become a Tactician. Q: Do I need [#] posts to do [something]? A: Aside from promoting from Newbie > Member > Tactician, nothing else requires a certain number of posts. Q: How do I become a Veteran? A: Vets are hand-picked by administration. (DO NOT ASK TO BE VETTED) They are good role models for others on the forum, and have shown that they can act intelligently. Veterans that are not already Tacticians can have user emotes. To be considered for vet you must have been active on the site for a total of 8 months or more, and you must at least have a cumulative post count of 1000. Q: Why am I Restricted? Am I going to be banned? A: No, the point of the Restricted group is to prevent banning, and encourage users to behave. You will be added to the Restricted group if we notice many minor behavior issues. The only penalties are that you lose access to the Intelligent Discussion and Spam boards. If your behavior improves, your old user group will be restored eventually. Q: Where did the Intelligent Discussion board go? A: Refer to the above question/answer. Q: Where are all the boards? I only see "Supervised Discussion". A: You have been put into the Supervised group. Within the Supervised Discussion board, you will be able to argue your case in front of the moderators, and hopefully we can return you to the Restricted group. (Obviously you have been misbehaving if you are in this group) Q: How do I get awards/Contest Winner usergroup? A: Awards and the Contest Winner group are issued during special contests, such as sprite tournaments or FE trivia sessions. Q: Can I be a mod- A: No. Don't ask again. Q: I still have questions about the site, what can I do? A: PM a staff member, they'll be happy to help. Your question might even be added to this FAQ if we think it's a good one. -------------------- ![]() |
