ok, i've beaten 3 evil dragons,lyon,and now i have to beat a demon king???

Their isn't much to beating him dude. Seriously, if I had the "Protip: hit it until it dies" pic I'd post it. The only reason you keep losing to him would be because you haven't leveled your guys right. speaking of which what's the average level your units are at?

Assuming that you've promoted them at a reasonable time, then that is more than enough to defeat him. ...Unless you're not using the legendary weapons that you recently got.

1st turn: Move as much as you can but stay away from it's range (most strongest units with legendary weps into frontline)... it's crappy when it comes to you with nightmare XD
2nd turn: fucking kill it!

Srsly. A maxed STR Ephraim with Siegmund will do like 56 damage.

Have Gilliam fight the Demon King. He has high defence and he also has that one ability. You need to heal him every turn or two. After it's HP is low enough, hit it til it dies with all of your strong units.

Weapons work well on the Demon King. Magic users are usually r*ped alive trying to fight him.

And always use twin weapons against him.

Mages get owned when trying to fight Formortiis. Audhulma in Colm (Assassin) and Siegmund with promoted Ephraim are a great combo. Make sure you have Latona handy, too.

That would work too. But I'm always the one that loves using interesting tactics. The easy way sucks ass... Unless you only have a few minutes.

If someone can send me a VisualBoy Advance savefile for FE8 with all characters alive at the final level, I can give it a shot.

You have the gall to talk about easy ways sucking ass right after you say that using Great Lord Ephraim with Siegmund is the way to go? Brave Sword Gerik takes much more time to finish the Demon King on his own, even if he's maxed out. Ephraim could do it in 2 turns alone.

I'd like to see knoll kill the demon king. I have him maxed out, and the demon king can still rape him alive by attacking twice.

Of course, Generals and other armored units never usually have high resistance levels.

try giving him a pure water or something.

Or try not using him since +7 RES won't really change much.

I'm going to do that now. Then I'll strike the final blow with someone sucky/using iron(if it's possible).

Hey, I'm still TSF here! Cool.

I've done some funny stuff with that boss before.

1. I've made a rescue chain (Falcon Knights FTL [faster than light]) and killed him with a Sage Artur (a waste, I know).
2. I've had a good mix of characters and destroyed him in one turn.
3. I almost never use the S rank weapons.
4. I've killed him by rushing him with very strong characters with Iron weapons.
5. I've lured him to his own death, with his attack missing.

There are a slew of other things that I've done too, but unfortunately I don't have pics, so no one will believe me. Sadface. All of the above is possible to do, however, so it's really stupid to challenge some one to defeat a really easy boss like Formortiis.

Everyone acting like Fomortiis is seriously that weak is just straight-up lying. Even fully supported Berserkers with iron axes would take quite some time trying to kill Fomortiis, and offensively berserkers are the strongest class in the raw that you get throughout the course of the main game.

An assassin is really the only class that has a legitimate shot at finishing Fomortiis in a quick amount of time with insanely weak weapons.

Can Assassins even deal 1 damage on him?

No, but the fact that it still has the chance to OHKO it anyway doesn't really make that an issue. Either way, with iron weapons, it'll take awhile. If that's the case, you might as well make the most of your time and take a chance to kill it in the most efficient way.

A Phantom KO would be nice tho.

Also, with the correct preparation, you can kill Formortiis in so many different ways. The key part there is preparation.

EDIT:Sux that Silence doesn't work on him, or I'd have killed him with Innes. Dang, my Innes sucks.
