Title: Which GH3 to get...

Sety - October 27, 2007 09:31 PM (GMT)
So, I'm currently torn between the Wii and 360 versions of GH3. Help me pick :(

Wii > 360 because:
--
Free online play
My preferred system
Actually being able to buy songs online (my brother won't buy me a microsoft point card |: )

360 > wii because:
--
Not needing to buy a guitar (I already own one)
Achievement system
Better Graphics
I've heard rumors that one of my favorite characters (Izzy Sparks) won't be included in the wii version.

HitokiriTiffany - October 27, 2007 11:23 PM (GMT)
Wii version has Jesus.

Exxucus - October 28, 2007 02:33 AM (GMT)
Wii>360.

oranj - October 28, 2007 02:50 AM (GMT)
Wii's guitar is wireless, 360's is wired.

Linkssword - October 28, 2007 03:02 AM (GMT)
wtf @ better graphics

who cares about the graphics when you're rocking out?

Sety - October 28, 2007 03:10 AM (GMT)
Because the people watching prefer HD to SD.

When it's the same game, it matters BIG TIME D :<.

Zephiel - October 28, 2007 03:13 AM (GMT)
PS3.

...isn't the game about music, not graphics.

And lulz what people watch you play horribly

oranj - October 28, 2007 03:18 AM (GMT)
Well if you're comparing different games and saying you want one because of its graphics, that's silly, because they both have different gameplay. For this though, they are both the same game and have everything the same except for graphics and a few other things not worth mentioning.

I can play on expert D;

We have Guitar Hero parties where I live occasionally, so graphics tend to want to look good on our rly big DLP on 1080i ^_^

But I suppose we could get 2 guitars for the wii, so w/e >_>

Wii

Online play + Buying songs

Trust me, you'll get sick of the same songs eventually.

360 has wired less too. :/

You've already got a guitar for 360, why spend an extra $40 dollars to get it on Wii? Plus they all have the same features except for this:
QUOTE
The Wii version of the game has several exclusive features, since a Wii Remote must be inserted into the guitar controller. The game utilizes the Wii Remote's wireless capabilities and accelerometer, but will also make use of the rumble feature and the internal speaker. The internal speaker on the Wii remote can also be optionally set to emit an effect when wrong notes are hit. While the Wii version has online play utilizing game-specific friend codes, downloadable content will not be available initially.

So the Wii has some extra rumble effects. But is that worth the extra money for a new guitar? Plus you can't even download new songs/stuff for a while.

Y'all are just a bunch of Nintendo fanboys. |:

I own a psp and a ps2

Diagon Dragnier - October 29, 2007 07:44 PM (GMT)
I got it.

The one for the Wii has Izzy Sparks, but who caers when you can use Slash (from Guns N' Roses)?

It has METALLICA(one), and SLAYER(raining blood), and IRON MAIDEN(number of the beast).

The first few songs are massive fail though. <__<;;

Online play d00d.

Merc, The - October 29, 2007 10:02 PM (GMT)
But what about the PS3? D :

Bizox - October 29, 2007 10:30 PM (GMT)
I paid an extra $74,935 to get my PS3 and guitar diamond-encrusted.

Half of that was from the PS3 itself unfortuanetly.

I guess I'll get the Wii version then... Only GF made a half decent argument though.

They all have that.

And Sety, you're asking a bunch of Nintendo fans which system you should buy the game for. What did you think they're going to say? You've already got a guitar for the 360, and all the features are the same.

I thought it would be an obvious choice.

Sety - October 30, 2007 03:22 AM (GMT)
I'm missing out on the fact that I can actually play online though. Pretty big rite thur.

Diagon Dragnier - October 30, 2007 03:26 AM (GMT)
I was speaking in general, GF. I don't own a 360...

but for Sety...

Online play > 360
Buying Songs >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 360
60$ > 90$ (which is only a THIRTY dollar difference)

Really, buying songs should pretty much seal off the deal. Then also being able to play online? icing on the cake, ICING ON THE CAKE

Like I said, you can play online and buy songs on both the 360 and the Wii. I know, because I do it.

Bizox - October 31, 2007 10:31 PM (GMT)
I think the point he's making is that it costs that much extra for those features. I mean, paying just for the ability to pay more for songs? nothx

I only have to get gold for online play. What I meant is that my brother never buys me Microsoft point cards when I ask. >_>

Diagon Dragnier - November 1, 2007 06:23 PM (GMT)
How much would Gold cost?

You have to buy the songs on the Wii, but the downloading capabilities won't be available for some time. Plus, it would probably be worthwhile for him to upgrade to Gold Live not just for Guitar Hero but for every game.
