Lot..... vs .....Echidna
Lot joins early on at a low level with 78 hit with his most accurate weapon...before enemy avoid. x_X
Anyway, he supports Deak, Thany, Ward, Echidna, and Lance.
Thany and Ward suck, so they're out. Lance already has Alan and Roy, so he's not supporting Lot. Deak can support Clarine and Ruter, or even Klein, but he wouldn't mind a Lot support, though Rutger and Clarine won't enjoy losing a Deak support. So he's got maybe one support, if that, and the only one left is Echidna herself. So Lot's not getting full supports without Echidna. Hmm...
Then later, Echidna joins. Lot can be liek lv 14. Actually, Lot will probably be on a lower level than others because you only get 1 exp if you miss. But I'll be nice and let him be on lv 14 anyway. And he may or may not get a Deak support, so we'll give him a B. That's all Deak wants anyway, since half attack doesn't do anything.
Echidna supports Geese, Lalum, Gonzales, Ward, and Lot.
Ward sucks, so he's out.
Everyone else on Geese's list sucks except Lalum, so he definitely wants a support with Echidna.
On Lalum's list, Oujay, Geese, Percival, and Roy are decent/good/required, but they're all far inferior support choices. Echidna gives full def/res/avoid/critavoid, the best possible bonuses for Lalum, and it starts right away. Oujay has a horrible affinity that doesn't give def/res or avoid, and the support is also slower. Geese and Roy's fiyar affinities don't give def/res or crit avo, and their supports are also slower. Percival doesn't give def/res, and the support starts several chapters later. Echidna is by far Lalum's best, so Lalum definitely wants this support.
Everyone else on Gonzales's list sucks except Treck, so he definitely wants a support with Echidna.
And then Lot. He has maybe Deak, and that's it, so he also wants this support.
So yeah, Echidna's supports are really helpful. Lot's are not.
On to stats and shiz:
Lot, lv 14, B Deak,

k, so Echidna is wtfraeping Lot in offense. Lot misses a ton, doesn't double, and he even does less damage. b7. And Steel Axe Echidna still has more AS and hit than Iron Axe Lot. h4x.
Defensively, Lot is doing alright. At first glance, it might even look like he wins, but Echidna is actually quite a bit more durable. For one, she has swords as well as more avo, so she doesn't get hit by axe users and their h4x attack power. h4x str and the strongest weapons? If there's one thing you don't want to get hit by, that's definitely it.
And sword users can also pose a problem to Lot. They're rly fast, so Lot may even get doubled by them. Lot can't hit them, so he's worthless offensively against them, but you already knew that. Either Lot gets doubled by them, or Echidna doubles them.
Another thing is that she still beats him in atk, AS, and hit even with a Hand Axe, so she can attack ranged if needed. And counter ranged ftw.
Which is another point. Echidna's counterattacking skillz >>> Lot's
So Echidna crushes Lot.
What about later on? Unfortunately for Lot, his offensive growths aren't much better than Echidna's. 5 higher in skl and spd. Same for defensive...if you don't include def. >_>
BUT, Lot has yet to promote and gain his promotion bonuses! But about that promotion.. even once he reaches level 20, he needs a Hero Crest. And Deak or Rutger is getting the first one, so Lot has to wait until you can buy one at the end of chapter 16, 7.5 chapters later.
And at the same time, Echidna is building her supports.

Zomg, Lot finally gets a weapon with decent hit! And it's ranged. He loses his ability to counterattack when he uses it, though. He may start doubling a few things now, but his spd is still pretty bad.
Offensively, he's winning in atk by 1 now. However, his hit still sucks massively when using melee weapons, and it's only semi-decent with his ranged weapon, which also lowers his atk. And his spd is still bad, so he still sucks at doubling. So he's still getting raepd. Oh, and Echidna has decent crit.
Defensively, Echidna is still winning, and by alot. Lot has a 3 def lead nao, but he also loses in res by 6-7. He also has an 11 hp lead, but that's not nearly as useful because you can't very well heal 50 hp. Clarine has garbage mag, and ppls like Lugh can't use Mend yet, so he needs an extra heal everytime to make use of that extra hp capacity after the first go. And then avoid. Echidna's avoid lead is huge, and it's made even bigger by better WT control. For Lot to cover up his weakness to swords, he has to equip a bow, which he can't counterattack with. Echidna just uses a sword. And then against axes, sword gets WTA. Lot still gets hit by those massive atk axes, and Echidna doesn't. 20-30 avo lead = way more durable.
AND Lot had to fork over 10k. That's alot of moneys. Moneys I could have spent on pwn weapons like Aircaliburs or something.
But wait, bows do extra damage vs fliers, rite? Yeah, they do. His Iron Bow does 12 moar damage than it says there. 34 atk.
And Iron Axe has 24 atk, and it can counterattack, and it can double attack because a faster unit is using it, and it gets two chances to crit with a higher crit chance. And I can spend some of said moneys on a Killer/Silver Axe or something. Killer Axe has 27 atk and massive crit chance. Silver Axe has 31 atk.
Even with bows, he still loses against fliers. Now, a steel bow would do yet more damage (and also have lower hit), but he can't use that yet, and his weapon level is going to take a while to get up. Not doubling means more rounds are needed, and not counterattacking means more turns are needed. And, unlike other games I've played, E to D takes 50 wexp instead of 30. And the more bow using he does, the more not counterattacking he does.
At this point, there's no way Lot can recover. Even if he starts winning, having been losing by so much for so long, he'd still be the inferior character. But we'll go on to late in the gaem anyway. Might as well.
Lot, 20/11, B Deak
Iron Axe- 27.1 atk, 18.4 AS, 104.0 hit, 13.3 crit;; 56.9 avo, 58.3 hp, 19.8 def, 7.0 res, 20.1 critavo
Steel Axe- 30.1 atk, 17.4 AS, 89.0 hit, 13.3 crit;; 54.9 avo
Iron Bow- 25.1 atk, 18.4 AS, 119.0 hit, 13.3 crit;; 56.9 avo
Echidna, 20/14, A Lalum, B Gonzales
Iron Axe- 24.9 atk, 20.9 AS, 125.4 hit, 22.8 crit;; 75.4 avo, 44.8 hp, 14.9 def, 13.9 res, 33.6 critavo
Steel Axe- 27.9 atk, 15.9 AS, 110.4 hit, 22.8 crit;; 65.4 avo
Iron Sword- 21.9 atk, 21.9 AS, 145.4 hit, 22.8 crit;; 77.4 avo
Offensively, Lot wins atk by 2 now, but his doubling skills are still inferior, and his melee hit is still horrible. It doesn't suck quite as massively, but it still sucks. And his crit still sucks.
Defensively, his def lead has grown to 5 and his res loss is 7. And his avo loss is still a massive 20-30. And the higher avo gets, the more it matters. The difference between 20 hit (8.2% real) and 40 hit (32.4%) isn't as much as the difference between 10 (2.1%) and 30 (18.3%). Or 0 and 20... So her avo lead is even more effective. And Echidna's crit avo lead has become significant. So she still easily wins defense.
Huh, wow. Winning offense and defense liek the entire time + way more helpful supports + moneys = Echidna >> Lot
