Title: WTF

Nintend-Fan - March 22, 2007 11:18 PM (GMT)
Okay, I'm on chapter 12 in SoS, and this weird thing keeps happening.

I was at the boss (Aine, the Mamkute) and Rutger was about to finish him off with the Wyrmslayer. The damage display for Aine said that Rutger would take 23 damage, which wouldn't kill him. I send Rutger to attack... and he dies. But Aine didn't critical... I think. (He had a 4% chance though)

If he did critical, I must be REALLY unlucky, since it just happened for the second time in a row. If not, I'm getting pretty annoyed with this apparent "glitch".

Yeah, so... yeah.

(Does anyone have a battle sprite sheet for Aine?)

Use up an RN or two and try again.

And Aine uses the generic Mamkute sheet like Jahn and the other Mamkutes.

Nintend-Fan - March 23, 2007 10:09 AM (GMT)
Yeah, well... I couldn't find any of those.

And Rutger already died, so I'd have to restart the chapter.

...which part is the critical hit?

You wanted Critical hit? My bad. >_<

I can't find the critical hit sheet too.

I don't think the animation changes for a critical, though I might be mistaken.

Anyway, that was pretty unlucky. Give FE5 a shot~

That's what I thought. Though, I didn't want to post without being sure.

I'm pretty sure the actual part where he is blowing out what ever he is blowing out(Fire or poison) is just longer in the critical.

It's possible. Of course, getting a mamkute to critical on you is hard, considering most characters have enough luck to dodge one (except Rutger...!).

In any case, yeah, it seems a critical hit doesn't change the animation.

Nintend-Fan - March 24, 2007 02:56 AM (GMT)
...dammit, I'm just THAT unlucky.

Twice in a row with the odds being 4% each time...

I knew I should've picked him off with Lugh. v.v

Sniper - March 24, 2007 04:20 AM (GMT)
Stick the Durandal in his face.

Nintend-Fan - March 24, 2007 03:09 PM (GMT)
I'm saving that for later... (Nobody in my army can use it yet, anyway)

I was using the Wyrmslayer.

Sniper - March 24, 2007 08:13 PM (GMT)
Ah, kk. I usually have Rutger and Dieck promoted by then with S ranks in swords.

Nintend-Fan - March 24, 2007 09:16 PM (GMT)
Both Rutger and Dieck are level 19. Lugh and Alan are the only ons I have promoted. (Alan has S in Lances)

XD Pwned

Actually, I believe the crit. animation is just a 1-2 frame flash of white on the head. That's it.

Phila.Tequila - July 20, 2009 03:39 PM (GMT)
Yeah.

But Aine was easy for me. Dunno why x)
