Lance's Fire Emblem Character Comparison 2.

Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi: Troubadours-->Valkyries

Beginning Notes:

1) In my second character reveiw, I am cutting down on the biasisim. I am suposed to tell the facts, and the facts only.
2) I have made my Notes even longer, so I can officially help you out more.
3)I have added supports, and something Gannodorf8 didn't have: Character Bios.
3) I have decided to do one slowly throughout each week, so wait til next week!

You are free to provide your own opinions of the characters that I talk about each time if you so wish to do so, and be as creative as you can. Follow the rules here, too.

Thanks to Eaichu For pictures and Growth Rates.

Clarine

Class: Troubadour-->Valkyrie

First Chapter Appearance: 4

Base Stats: Level 1 HP 15 Mag 2 Skl 5 Spd 9 Luck 8 Def 2 Res 5 Con 5 Move 7

Growth Rate: HP 40% Mag 30% Skl 40% Spd 50% Luck 65% Def 10% Res 40%

Average Stats 20/20 : HP 34 Str 15 Skl 22 Spd 25 Luck 30 Def 7 Res 25

Promotion Gains (Troubadour-->Valkyrie): HP +4 Str +3 Skl +2 Spd +2 Luck +0 Def +2 Res +3 Con +2 Move +1

Supports: Rutgar, Klein, Dieck, Dorothy, Lance

Notes: Clarine is the first, and technically, the only Troubadour You recieve in your journey. Since she is a healer, she will only be able to use staffs in the beginning. But, she is also a mounted unit, so she is better capable healing characters at a farther range. Her base stats are okay as far as Fire Emblem 6 charecters go, exceling Speed, Skill, Luck, and Resistance, while failing in Magic and Defence. As far as her abillity to fight, it is not so great, being the character in the game with the lowest Hit Points. There have been times though where the RNG kicks in. Once, as a 20/20 Valkyrie, she only had 9 magic.

Clarine is very similar to Priscilla in a way. Clarine will max her luck in no time. This means she will have a very low chance of being affected by criticals, which makes up for her very poor defence. She also has a very high speed, and often maxes it. The only units that may be able to hit her are Heroes, Swordmasters, and Snipers. Also like Priscilla, she has a very low Con. She will have some Speed loss if she wields anything besides Fire, but thanks to her high Speed, she won't have to many problems.

Character Bio: Klein's sister, daughter of Pent and Louise. Unlike those three, she's REALLY stuck up. It's a surprise she joins Roy's raggedy gang.

Cecilia

Class: Valkyrie

First Chapter Appearance: 14

Base Stats: Level 1 HP 30 Mag 11 Skl 7 Spd 10 Luck 10 Def 7 Res 13 Con 6 Move 8

Growth Rate: HP 60% Mag 35% Skl 45% Spd 25% Luck 25% Def 20% Res 25%

Average Stats **/20 Valkyrie :HP 40 Str 17 Skl 15 Spd 15 Luck 15 Def 10 Res 17

Supports: Roy, Percival, Douglas, Saul, Elphin, Lilina

Notes: Cecilia is the second and last character in this review. Unlike Clarine, she comes as an Valkyrie. She is like Clarine, can use staffs and is mounted. Unlike her though, she starts out with Anima also. Her base stats are not so great. She has many gaps that should be filled as a mounted unit that aren't, like speed. And as for a Valkyrie, she should have higher Skill and Resistance. She won't have as much problems attacking enemies like Clarine, but may have trouble taking damage. Her growths aren't that great ether. So in the 19 levels she can gain, she will only gain some in Skill and HP, which are still consideratly low.

The only average stats are her HP and Resistance. She will have trouble attacking with anything but Fire because of her low Con and low Speed. She is in danger of being criticaled, due to her low luck. She also doesn't have much of a chance to land a critical, due to her low Skill. She may also have problems dodging attacks by Paladins and sometimes, Generals.

Character Bio: The Mage General of Etruria. She was Roy's tutor, and backs him up quite often early on before she joins. An honorable woman.

Well, that concludes my second comparison. I think I did a lot better, but that is up to you. I very much enjoyed writting this reveiw, and will continue more. Tune in next week!

Next week: Fighters/Warriors-->Hopfully.

Nice review... again! (I thought you were doing Fighters/Warriors...)

Anyways, I suppose these 2 could be tied. One thing that annoys me about healers is that I always S them in staves without meaning to. Prepromotes tend to have better weapon levels. (I'm learning that with my Marcus playthrough - he already maxed out his weapon levels in chapter 14) I don't know the starting stats of the 2, but Cecilia would probably wind up using the stronger tomes.

Yes, I was going to do Fighters/Warriors, but I don't want it to look like I'm going off of the same order Gannondorf did))

As for Clarine, there is only one way to get her an S in Anima. Once she promotes, she should only have an A and one half in staffs. You would have to start her off with Anima right away. That means no healing whatsoever. The thing is, you're usually so used to using her as a healer, you will easily forget about her using magic.

Clarine starts out with a Staff level of D.

Cecilia has a C in Staffs and a B in Anima.(I think. I dont have the game infront of me, but I'm pretty sure they were only one level appart, Anima in the lead)

Thanks for the comment. (People, you can post here, ya know.)

Yes I did and he said sure. 1 problem. You cannot post pictures until after you get arounf 1200 posts. So Ganondorf may have to post them and give you credit.

Why would it have to be Ganondwarf posting them. Any member here could do just as well. Only a thought.....

It is easier since they will be going in the master thread, and he can edit them if Lance needs him to.

Cepheus - May 30, 2006 10:16 AM (GMT)
