ok I want to make a role play site. Problem 1, I have no idea what kind of Rp would be popular amoungst people. Problem 2 I have no way to advertise besides on other forums. Problem 3 I don't know how to do themes and stuff.
can anyone help me out with this?
maybe you shouldnt... just saying... i think most ppl are satisfied with our RP here, or maybe not, but if you have no ideas how to do themes and stuff thats not great.
also, real life.

1. That's your decision. No matter what kind of RPG you make, some people aren't going to like it. Whatever it is it should relate to the board itself (This is a fire emblem board and the rpg is a fire emblem rpg).
2. The safest way to advertise is by signature. Any other way to advertise may be considered rude, unless there is a specific place for advertising. Advertising outside of forums probably won't get you far, and you will probably will have to pay to get your ad up.
3. I'm not quite sure what you mean. Are you asking how to make site/forum layouts? You would need to know CSS(edits colors/Fonts), HTML, and javascript to customize your site.
