There's a severe lack of weaboo in this thread. Allow me to slather some on:
SNES: Final Fantasy 4 (still my favorite in the series) PSone: Suikoden 2 (argument for best game on the Playstation, or at the very least best RPG. Yes I just said Suikoden 2 is better than FF7. Deal) PStwo: Suikoden 5 (the Suikoden series is consistently more interesting than the Final Fantasy series. People should jump ship.) Ar Tonelico 1&2 (Psycho-analysis, techno-operatic music, flashy battles and cute anime girls in pajamas? Yeah like anyone could top that) PSP: Pangya (say what you want; a golf game that makes me want to play a golf game has to be a pretty darn amazing golf game) Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky series (Falcoooooooom!) Ys 7 (Link? Links a wuss. Adol is the real action RPG hero. Beats Zelda any day of the week) Tactics Ogre (what Final Fantasy Tactics wishes it was) PC: Little Busters! (I should hope so, since I'm translating it) Recettear (indie Japanese RPGs for the win!)
