While they walked, Lolita began being increasingly aware of just how many people of all ages were turning up, this was a good thing.. it was exciting. She really did want this party to break onto the morning news, even if it did get her and her best friend into trouble for throwing it.. when she felt Ryan's arm grip onto hers gently she smiled then looked over to him. Rolling her eyes at what she could hear some girl saying in the background.

Then suddenly they stopped and at his words, she listened intently and sighed, "ah.. si, thank you." The eye contact was kept for a few moments until she heard a loud voice in the background, Lolita, with her reporter instinct quickly looked round and groaned at the sight of Riku… and Cammi walking. She turned back to Ryan and rolled her eyes, before whispering hurriedly, "lets go back to the grill, or something, I can't stand him."

Here he was thinking he did a good job, and complimented her well, then she changed the subject. It confounded him, but he came to the conclusion that it wasn't him, it was the other guy that pissed her off so much. He walked with her back to the grill. He lifted the cover, and saw the meat was almost done, just a few more turns, and it would be perfect. He turned his attention back to the beauty that was now firmly in his mind. Ryan closed the cover, and looked up, "Almost done, but not quite," he said, smiling at her.

Lissa was happily left with her auntie, Cammi's elder sister... Lissa was going to be read three bedtime stories, and Lissa had her two favourite teddy bears with her. As Cammi checked all this off her mental checklist, she sighed. Everything was going to be fine if she went out tonight, nothing would turn into a major crisis, and ..well, Riku's music was giving her a bit of a migraine, but that could be dealt with easily.

"You really never did learn to not be annoying, did you?" she sighed as she flipped the mirror down and applied her pink lipgloss before stepping out, her bronzed body glimmering under the sparkling lights at the party. Instinctively, she grabbed onto his arm. Cammi wasn't as grabby and mean as she made out.. she was actually pretty volatile and sensitive, having Riku there.. well, he made her feel safe. It was good to be going out to things together again.

However, he was lucky he kissed her before yelling, if he hadn't she may just have had to deck him. Still, pokerface with that huge smile was kept on and she squeezed his arm, "it never left," she purred to him.

"Bout as quick as you learned to stop bitching." He smirked out the side of his mouth and whispered to the girl on his right. The hockey player looked over at Cammi. "Sure it did." he said smirking. "You know you missed it." He said again as his eye caught Lita's and he had smirked in the only way he could. She turned and whispered to whoever she was with. The boy, Riku would say, looked like a total tool, and for no reason than to flaunt his beautiful girl he shifted behind the blonde beside him and kissed the top of her head.

"Hey," He whispered. "I want you to know she'll be fine okay." He knew that Cammi could be a worrywart when it came to Lissa, and given past circumstances, she did have a right. "If anything happens, we'll find out about it." He ran a hand through his hair and wrapped his arms around her. "Besides, I bet, that you will not have as much fun as I do tonight." He grinned and spun her to face him.

"Let it all go Lynx."

The blonde rolled her eyes and folded her arms resolutely as she listened to Riku. A small smile broke free as he kissed her head then a sigh left her lips before she then looked up at him and just grinned, but then was faced with her worries.. at least she didn't have to reassure Riku, though, "yeah.. yeah I know she will, just ..eh, it's okay."

Another sigh then left her lips and before she could start complaining that perhaps she should've read Lissa another story before they'd left, and not left her having read just the two. Riku was right though, well.. essentially anyway. He was definitely right that if anything happened they'd soon find out about it, but she wasn't comfortable with 'letting it all go'. That wasn't going to be happening..

"You're not going to have fun tonight, I'll make sure to deck you before you can," she muttered with a kind smirk, that only Cammi could manage before suddenly she was set spinning and was laughing, "okay, I'll do a bit of letting go.. but I'm not going to drink, I want to be back before breakfast."

Riku knew she was still worried, he was also determined to make her forget all about it, well, not forget it, but to know her daughter, THEIR daughter was safe and sound. Riku also hoped, although this was more silent, that there was a slight chance he'd be getting laid, but that wasn't a demand or anything. He knew they were still getting back to being a couple and this being their first major outing, it wasn't something he had expected. Of course, he also had a more romantic night planned, but that wouldn't be for a couple weeks seeing as he'd start daily practices again in two days.

"Am I allowed to drink?" He asked, not expecting a yes, but not expecting a no. He knew that Cammi knew he was actually less violent drunk than sober. He also knew that she didn't like him being hungover or drunk around Lissa, which he did actually do his best to respect. His mouth found her neck and he nibbled, but quickly let go. "If I am, it's best you don't...I'd just like to get home." He laughed it off although it was forced. Drunk driving was a touchy subject with him. His mom was notorious for driving them around drunk on a lot of occasions.

He held Cammi, humming along to the song that was playing. "You're like my favorite damn disease." It was quiet, but not too quiet. "I had a thought..." He said before pausing. He had a feeling she wouldn't like the idea of him taking Lissa on every road trip of the post season, which could go through to June.

Kaycee clucked her tongue, and nodded. She liked Alexis. Out of everyone here, she had seemed the most friendly and welcoming. Well, besides that Enmandel guy, but Kaycee figured he had something up his sleeve. But, maybe not... maybe he was just nice. She shrugged. So, maybe she could blend in with this town after all. Kaycee had been worried that Texas would be all rednecks, who like to shoot guns. She hadn't expected to make friends. Or find anyone who was like her.

Sighing, Kaycee looked over where she had seen the boy and model looking girl. "So, is that your ex, and his new girlfriend?" Kaycee asked, nodding at the couple. She looked at Alexis, waiting to grab her in her arms, and squeeze her.

Kari looked over as Kaycee did and widened her eyes when she was asked about dating Riku at one time. "No...Nonono. That's my brother and the slut that broke his heart." She said calmly. She wasn't surprised at the question though. Lots of people assumed they were together all the time. She kicked a clump of dirt nearby. Kaycee seemed like a good girl. She was nice, talkative, and being cute didn't hurt at all.

Kari sat down on a table, the strangers soda still in her hand. "This tastes a little weird." She said then offered it to Kaycee for a test taste.

Lolita never was one to lap up compliments… too much. If there was one thing her two.. maybe three boyfriends since she'd arrived in Cathwell had taught her… it was that they were an easy way to trouble. J.W and her had been ridiculously bad.. and although Lolita wouldn't mind being friends with him even now, it was clear that wasn't what he fancied. She didn't really lose sleep over it though, after all he'd cheated on her, not the other way round..

And as for Riku Showron. Well, she'd never actually officially dated him, but they'd been close to it.. or at least it seemed like it. She'd even kissed him a couple of times, and aside from that, well she'd teased him, played with him then suddenly he'd got with some random girl.. and was obviously pining over his ex. So then Finlay came on the scene. He was Riku's best friend and former teammate, an obvious choice for revenge perhaps.. but it honestly hadn't been in her mind. She'd met him at work when he'd stopped for coffee and toast. They'd discussed the merits of bubblegum.. diners.. Italy and everything else.. then a few days later they met again, and again.. until suddenly they were kissing and dating. Then he'd got traded to some other hockey team and she hadn't seen him again. Well, it didn't matter too much, it wasn't like she'd really fallen in love with him.

As Lolita walked with Ryan back to the grill she focused on him and his strong build, his floppy hair and she smiled. He was actually really cute.. a real southern guy, the sort she'd wanted to meet while she'd been in the car staring at the welcome to cathwell sign. Lolita grinned and sighed, in reply, "wonderful.. it smells excellent."
