Sheer's Arrival

[Fallenstar]

Fallenstar leapt up on the Highrock before yowling, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey assemble beneath this Highrock for a Clan meeting!"

[Saberclaw]

Sheer watched Fallenstar with much amusement. She wasn't sure what this call was for besides calling a meeting of some sort.

Ruffletail padded into camp with a vole in his mouth. He placed it in the fresh-kill pile before twitching his ears in greeting to Fallenstar. He took no notice of Sheer though, but padded to stand beneath the highrock.

[Fallenstar]

"Today, a cat has requested to join noble ThunderClan," he mewed loudly. "I assure you, she has all skills necessary to become an able warrior. I expect you will treat her with respect." He turned to Sheer, muttering, "Are you ready?"

[Saberclaw]

Sheer nodded. She was definently ready.

This time Ruffletail turned his head to glance at Sheer. "Obviously she's the one joining the clan," he thought with a small sigh.

[Fallenstar]

"I, Fallenstar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this willing loner. She has requested permission and has dedicated to understanding the ways of your noble code, and I commend her as a warrior in her turn." Fallenstar looked at Sheer with bright green eyes. "Sheer, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this Clan even at the cost of your life?"

[Saberclaw]

Sheer nodded once saying, "I do." She contained most of her excitement. This was a new adventure and best of all, she'd learn how to defend herself and fight with something that she had even been afraid to look in the eye.

[Fallenstar]

"Then, by the power of StarClan, I name you..." Fallenstar paused. He rather liked the name he had chosen. "Until StarClan orders otherwise, I name you Kitewing, in honor of the bird-- the kite-- which also has grace and home in the trees."

OoC: If you don't like it, I'll change it. They say the kite is the most beautiful bird-of-prey in Britain!

[Saberclaw]

Ooc: Actually I'm fascinated by the birds-of-prey, though they can't win out my love for insects.

Sheer now Kitewing let out a purr of gratitude. She liked the name and would live byt he name as long as she lived. Kitewing just hoped that she wouldn't be treated to harshly here.

Fallenstar shook his black-and-white pelt proudly. "I expect from everyone of ThunderClan to welcome Kitewing with full respect and to help her understand the ways of the warrior code."
