Thread has never returned and Pern has grown populated, perhaps overpopulated. Dragons are used to show wealth and power in all but a few Weyrs. Many Weyrs have branched out, have settled into new places in the South, in the North, and in the West. But with peace comes consequence.

Welcome to Landing Weyr, a Weyr formed by Fort Weyr nearly two hundred Turns ago. Located in the Southern Continent not far from the original Landing, Landing Weyr was certainly the beginning of a new era.

However, it is now also subject to changes soon to be seen all over Pern. Change is coming, and that will spell certain death for the inhabitants of the third planet from Rukbat.

Now the rivers run red.

Landing Weyr's only source of water, Jordan River, has turned red. What's worse is that the fish living in the river are dying. People are beginning to think that what's happening might make them sick. The beginning of panic is spreading through the Weyr.

On top of that, Gold Hexoth is beginning to show signs of being egg-heavy. Also, a strange wher clutch was found by the twin Candidatemasters.
