It is the original cradle of civilization, and the land from where the Refugees arrive. Any of the four ports seen in the map can be used as destination points from where your Refugee characters-- or your character's family, if he/she was born in Escova-- set off. The trip from a port on the Mainland to Kyha can last anywhere from a week to two weeks depending on the conditions at sea. The countries of the Mainland are at war with the Barbarian Horde from the Steppe, and this devastating war-- which has lasted almost two decades now-- is the cause for so many men and women from so many cultural backgrounds fleeing to the safety of Escova.
