+20 points if you read the title and thought "Concerning Hobbits".
Anywho . . .
Hello, dearest Escovans!
I just want to take a minute to let you know about a few changes I've made in the last couple o' days around the board. In an attempt to make it easier for all of you to get involved in more plotting and really get into the game, I've put some attention toward two things: The listing of
open positions and the just-posted
sub-plot listing.
To the list of open positions I have just added the title of
chancellor and made it available to either a male or female character. I'm hoping to add a few more positions to this list as well, but I need to make sure that I'm adding positions that will be both useful to plots and interesting for a player to utilize. There are some very influential positions up for grabs there that I encourage you to check out if you've gotten into the finer details of Escova and have an interest in taking on a more integral role. If any of you have any suggestions about potential positions to add to that list, please let me know or bother Uz or Jeff! We'd really love to see some of these roles taken on by players outside the staff team so we can get some fresh minds pushing Escova forward from these positions.
Perhaps more interestingly, I've just posted the sub-plot listing thread (with many thanks to Lina for the idea- I haven't used one of these lists for
years!). This could be a
hugely beneficial resource for all of you if you take the time to keep it current. In this thread you'll find brief summaries of active plots involving multiple characters in the game. It's my hope that you'll use this information not only to find cool story lines to follow but to find interesting plots to participate in that you might not find otherwise. If you have any questions about what might be appropriate to post there or anything else related to this listing
please PM me! I'd be happy to chat about it with you.
Also, at the request of Lee, I've added
a post to the Government thread to list government positions and some noble positions along with the characters occupying them in an attempt to help you see where openings are there.
In general, Jeff, Uz and myself are definitely looking to encourage all of you to keep up the great work and actively plot together to make the story your own. Escova has some really creative minds, and we hope that you're all willing to push the limits and take an active role in the game and the many stories that could play out within it.
