Title: Major
Description: A question to fans

fleshcut - May 7, 2010 06:40 PM (GMT)
We've been thinking recently that it's not nice that major has so many missing chapters. So we decided to ask your opinion about how we should continue: keep releasing from where we are (vol 67) or start filling in the gaps from chap 17. please tell us your opinion, even if you don't care. it will make our decision easier.

it is hard to say . I think that it depends only of you. If you can have a 2 day /realize that it is ok to make both.15 chapters/month is twice than weekly realize of new Major and hopefully you'll catch it in 2 years which is more than nice because Major is the HnI of baseball. You may try to make 2 teams to cover both parts better . Anyway the coverage of older chapters is a must because in this way we'll increase Major's fans base.

the older chapters please. or better, scanlate the latest ones, and fill in the older ones when there is free time. after all, raws do not come out every day.

but, for me, filling the gaps would be awesome. i'd be happy to finally have some major manga in my hd. :3

cmertb - May 9, 2010 06:47 AM (GMT)
Both is not an option, because there is only one translator for Major right now. Please choose either filling the gaps or continuing the story. Whatever you hold more dear to your heart.

Alternatively, bring another translator, and we might be able to do both.

Put a message in this sense on new manga realizes . i think you'll find many Japanese interested in translate Major manga.

cmertb - May 9, 2010 05:21 PM (GMT)
I'm guessing you've never had to look for a translator. :)

i say fill the gaps
i havent read major despite many good reviews simply because there are too many gaps and i feel that trying to read the parts that are scanlated would only make the story incoherent. i wouldnt be surprised if other people have been holding out for the same reason
the only drawback is that the people following it now wouldnt be able to get the latest chapters...well, you win some and you lose...i guess thats what this poll is about

namitsingal - May 10, 2010 12:28 PM (GMT)
Franky house are also looking to start translating the older chapters, If you guys want, we can do this project jointly, we were also looking to fill in those gaps which were left in between your translations and old ones

our translator is a bit busy atm, so we haven't really started the process yet .

hopefully this poll results in major being translated from the base, so that we could all enjoy the best baseball manga ever

well.... for filling in the gaps, the story of the anime is pretty much the same as to the manga, from which abyss are continuing, you can watch the manga to completely understand the base of the story

i c...well, i dont really follow anime in general and i've heard that some anime change the story of the manga...maybe i'll watch it if i have time...

I'd like it if you'd keep doing the latest chapters until you get to the final chapter, and then you guys can go back and fill in the gaps.

This is especially important to know how the series ends if this is the last season of the anime, and they end the anime without getting to where the manga is. (Or if they make the anime's ending different.)

I say definitely go back and fill in the missing chapters.
I know for a fact that lots of people are putting off reading this manga because of the large gaps in between volumes. They're all watching the anime while waiting for the missing chapters to be scanlated. It's such a pity because no one is actually scanlating it.

If we leave the manga with this many chapters missing, new readers would not want to pick it up, and if we continue on, not many current readers would want to go back for the missing chapters after finding out how it ends. What a waste for such a great manga. So If we're considering filling in the gap, the time to do it is now and not after completing the manga.

Ah... on a side note, if you end up deciding to go back, let me know. I'd like to help out with the editing.

cmertb - October 6, 2010 07:11 PM (GMT)
By now we've fallen hopelessly behind the anime, so I don't think going on would be an option unless a different translator willing to do that is found.

Personally, I wouldn't mind picking up at the first gap, or even at ch 9 where Franky House left it before bailing. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to Major, so it would be slooooow at best.

Irie - October 7, 2010 11:21 PM (GMT)
I think it's great that you're even translating it, cmertb.
Slowness isn't a big deal. Considering that right now no one is
scanlating those missing chapters at all, having slow releases is
definitely better than having no releases at all.

Hello!! I've just joined so my opinion coukd be heard on this specific matter. I would be happy to see that you go back and fill in the gaps of this great manga. It does not matter if its slow. Thanks.

What's up endless abyss people. Long time listener first time caller here. Wanted to give my opinion as Major is one of my favorite anime. So yeah, I'd love to see you guys go back and fill in the gaps on this one.

Is the manga still ongoing in Japan or has the series been ended already?

its still ongoing but it will end soon, as of right now we're not doing major since we're focusing on One Outs and Last Inning and got another baseball manga on the way but if we can get a team together we would do whatever they wanted even it that means making another gap and starting for season 6.
